Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

    Monday Night Raw

Big Show/Alex Riley vs Alberto Del Rio/Jack Swagger: A feud is certainly building here, but its hard to tell in what direction. Before the match, Big Show ordered A-Ry to the side of the ring. Right before Big Show could land a WMD on Del Rio, A-Ry tagged himself in. Big Show didn't take kindly to this, and took his frustrations out on a sidelined Jack Swagger. As Del Rio turned the other way, A-Ry took advantage and finished him, and putting him into a pin for a count out.

Rating: ****, Riley and Show win by pinfall

Demolition vs Kozlov (c): What an interesting match this was. As Kozlov was making his entrance, Smash grabbed him from behind and slammed him into a metal pole before throwing him in the ring. Shortly there after, Ax put him into the Neckbreaker, making Kozlov tap out. But wait! Big Show runs out to the ring, distracting the ref and taking out Smash. Kozlov takes advantage and gives Ax the Iron Curtain and moving in for the pin. I'm not sure where this stuff is headed, but I'm intrigued to find out.

Rating: ***, Kozlov wins by pinfall.

Zack Ryder vs Iron Senator (c): This was one of those back and forth matches where both Superstars were fighting for momentum. As soon as Iron Senator lifted Ryder for a Shock Drop, Michael Mcguillicutty ran out to the ring, giving way for Ryder to finish the Iron Senator off for a pinfall.

Rating: ***, Ryder wins by Pinfall.

John Cena vs Stone Cold: Wow, what a match this was. I haven't seen anything like this in the three months of my Universe. Anyone who has read my previous post will know that Triple H is the belt holder, and Stone Cold has been after it ever since Wrestlemania. Cena, who is a contender himself, wanted a #1 contenders match with Stone Cold to see who got the Title Shot at Extreme Rules. After some back and forth, Cena gained enough momentum to hit Steve Austin with an AA. But before he can get the pin, The Miz (a Cena rival), races to the ring to stop the pin. Before Cena knows it, Stone Cold gives him a stunner out of no where. But its not over! Triple H jumps from the crowd and gives Miz a Pedigree, confusing the hell out of the ref. Cena does a comeback, puts a Five Knuckle Shuffle on Stone Cold. Cena puts Stone Cold on his shoulders for one more AA, but Austin reverses it, and flies into the air for another stunner. 1...2...3, Cena is done. Hell of a match.

Rating: **** 1/2, Stone Cold wins by Pinfall

    Overall Summary:

What a great episode. I'm lucky I chose to write about this one, because I haven't seen an episode so eventful since I started.

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

*** **** it! As I was writing this card, I clicked on something and it went away...always write on a microsoft word beforehand, kids.

GM Note: I'm using both Smackdown and Impact to have this Pay Per View:

        <O</O
X-Division Title Match: Austin Aires (Champ) vs. D'Angelo Dinero. Aires retains via rear underhook bridge suplex.

        <O</O
Knockouts Title Match: Layla (Champ) vs. Michelle McCool. Ms. McCool landed the Faith Breaker. New TNA Knockouts Champion! (Makes up for her "Loser Leaves WWE" loss to Layla, now, doesn't it..)

        <O</O
Unified Tag Team Title Match: Power Trip 0 Crimson & Matt Morgan (Champions) vs. Wild Card - Samoa Joe & Mason Ryan. Cutscene: nWo's Mr. Perfect & Big Poppa Pump attack the champions before the match. While Morgan landed a Hellavator brainbuster, it wasn't enough to overcome the initial beating. Joe landed one of his famous modified suplexes for the surprise win. New Unified Tag Team Champions, Wild Card!!

        <O</O
#1 Contender's X-Division Match: Alex Shelley vs. Tyson Kidd. Despite interference from Natalya, the Sliced Bread and Camel Clutch were enough to get the shot at Aires.

        <O</O
Monster’s Ball – Backstage Brawl: Abyss vs. The Joker. Both came dress for the occasion, as Abyss went full Asylum outfit, while Joker sported Nurse -- skirt and all. These matches go way too short. Can anyone explain why? They'd also be so much cooler with other workers (be it, labor, divas or superstars) trying to avoid the madness backstage. Joker won by smashing Abyss through a car windshield, though.

        <O</O
6-Man “Legends” Tag: Hulk Hogan, Sting, & Goldberg vs. Kurt Angle, Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett. If you're currently watching TNA, you know the boyd are over in the UK. This match isn't that far off from what they're doing over there. Despite domination from Team Hogan, JJ landed the Stroke and both Sting & Berg REFUSED to prevent the pinfall! The, uh!

        <O</O
TNA Championship – Ladder Match: Jeff Hardy (Champion) vs. Bobby Roode (#1 Contender) vs. James Storm (Royal Rumble winner). OMGGGGG Best Match Ever! It's an absolute sin I didn't youtube this video for y'all. Highlights: There were thousands. I think Hard broke Mankind's record for most death-defying bumps in one match. This was a seriously amazing Ladder match that features plenty of Last Call Superkicks from Storm, Hardy running over the top rope on a ladder to plancha on both Bobby and James outside. Roode Suplexing Storm off the top of the ladder. Hardy nailing the Swanton on Roode from the ladder top. Close-calls. Just amazing. Admittingly, it is majorly difficult to get to that top and hold onto that strap without the other boys messing with ya. However, I landed the Twist of Fight at the perfect time on roode while avoiding Storm's finisher into another neckbreaker. Winner and STILL TNA Heavyweight Champion: JEFFFFFFFF.... HARDYYYYYY!!!!!

        Now onto Wrestlemania!!!!!!!

GM Note: B/c I went with A.A.O. before Mania, I'm now able to have a full Mania card with primarily WWE superstars. It's a shame we can't set up more than 6 matches for Mania, but that just how it go! Talk to you guys tomorrow night after the patch.

And.. hope you are all enjoying Royal Rumble tonight!

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

          Friday Night Smackdown

Randy Orton v Christian (c): In the last couple of weeks, Christian has made it apparent that he didn't like Orton interrupting his match against Mark Henry for the Intercontinental belt a few weeks ago on Smackdown. In tonights match, things got a bit out of hand. Orton slammed Christian into the announcers table, and Christian threw Orton into the steel steps. As Orton went in for an RKO, Christian reversed it into a Killswitch. 1...2... Kick out for Orton. Orton gets up with what little power he has left, but within moments of standing up, Orton found himself on the wrong end of another Christian Unprettier. 1...2...3... Lights out for Orton.

Rating: ***, Christian wins by pinfall

Natalya v McCool: Actually a pretty decent match. McCool got off to a quick start, and within a couple minutes had already put a finisher on Natalya. But Natalya kicked out at 2, and put her in the Sharpshooter pretty much right after.

Rating: **, Natalya wins by submission.

The Rock v Edge (Mystery Opponent): Hes back! This game never fails to surprise me as Edge makes a surprise visit to face The Rock in a showdown of huge superstars. However, for such an Epic Matchup, it really was a sub par match. It was cool to see Edge run out of nowhere and challenge the Rock, but he had 3 finishers readily available and quickly hit The Rock with two of them to put him out.

Rating: *** (just because it was awesome to see Edge again), Edge wins by pinfall.

Sheamus v Mark Henry: Think of this as a #2 contenders match. Next week, the winner of this match will get a chance against Randy Orton for the rights to fight Taker in Extreme Rules. The match lived up to expectations, and gave the crowd quite a show. It was back and forth until Henry hit Sheamus with a powerful Worlds Strongest Slam. 1...2... Kick Out! Sheamus kicks out, irish whips Henry into the turnbuckle and nails him with a super kick. 1...2...Kick Out! A frustrated Sheamus immediately went back in for another pin, but this time the kick out was quicker. Sheamus runs in for another super kick, but Henry reverses it for a Worlds Strongest Slam! 1...2...3! But thats not it. As Henry celebrates, a delusional Randy Orton runs out with a pipe and takes it to Henry. Next week is going to be awesome!

Rating: ****, Henry wins by pinfall

Overall Summary: Not too bad as far as Smackdown goes! The rivalries aren't quite as developed as on Raw, but this whole Henry/Orton thing is shaping up to be fantastic. Plus, the return of Edge was awesome. Can't wait until next week for the final show before Extreme Rules!

                  peace-
RAW was a classic tonight. RR was entertaining, despite not being great--but the fed def made up for it with Jericho, Taker, RKO, HHH, etc.!!! I'm psyched for E.C. as well. Great main event announced.

As for the game, I just spent a majority of the night after RAW scouring through diff WWE 12 forums and I've come to the realization -- without playing it yet -- that the patch did more harm than good. I suppose people have been going ballistic over this CAW "crotch blur glitch" thing that now CAW-makers are unable to properly make tights, etc. b/c now the midsection area of wrestlers is blurred...etc.

I sort of like my TNA as of now, so while trimming the roster is def. cool, I'm guessing the Thursday brand can't be changed to say an "All ECW"...so I dont know how excited I am for it. I'm still waiting for the DLC tomorrow before I think of turning it back on. We'll see.

Good to hear from you always, I'll be excited as hell to use Batista once again as well.

My RAW before Mania and AAO went pretty well, so well that I don't know if I want any patches to "fix" anything. So far I haven't really had too many problems with the game, and the things I don't like are probably not fixed with the patch, anyway.

Maybe I'll get to do my Mania tomorrow night

I do have a GREAT card lined up...I just can't spill the beans at this moment..

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Simmed up to the Royal Rumble to try to catch up with real life, and decided, "you know what? **** it! this is my Universe. No need to try to match it up with real life."

So, I decided to go to a WWE show on Monday, WCW show on Friday.

The only match I had left at the Royal Rumble PPV was the Rumble itself, so I chose 15 WWE guys & 15 WCW guys to compete in the match, and the winner? Booker T (WCW). Looks like he'll be getting a shot at Ric Flair's World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

I set the Champions as follows

                    WWE
                    WWE Title - Stone Cold
                    Intercontinental Title - The Rock
                    WWE Tag Titles - Demolition
                    Diva's Title - Beth Phoenix

                    WCW
World Heavyweight Title - Ric Flair
United States Title - Ricky Steamboat
World Tag Titles - Road Warriors
                    Women's Title - Natalya

The first RAW (WWE) with the new brands was a great card.

Match 1 - Triple H vs Kofi Kingston. This match was, presumably, to help sort out the order of the rankings for The Rock's Intercontinental Title. The match was back & forth, with Kofi looking like he was going to win, but Triple H countered Trouble In Paradise with a Pedrigree, and picked up the win.
                    Rating - ***

Match 2 - Zig-Swag vs Edge & Christian. This is a match I would LOVE to have seen happen in real life. Again, back & forth action. Edge & Ziggler started the match, but there were several tags throughout. E & C seemed to have the advantage, until Ziggler got a "hot tag" about 10 minutes into the match. He came in, beat up on Edge, then hit the Zig-Zag, but Edge kicked out at 2. A couple minutes later, Christian got a "hot tag" of his own, but Ziggler ruined any momentum Christian tried to gain. In the end, Edge caught Ziggler with a spear, and won the match for E & C. Great match.
                    Rating - **** & 1/2

Match 3 - Champion vs Champion Match - Stone Cold vs The Rock - WOW! The GM of the WWE show must be trying to pull a Laurinaitis & save his job! Started of very solid. Then, 3 minutes in, The Undertaker came in, seemingly to attack his rival, Austin, but he attacked The Rock. Austin went for the pin, but Rock kicked out, and started to come back on the Rattlesnake. The end of the match was just like you would expect a Stone Cold/Rock match to go - Austin went for the Stunner, Rock countered into a Rock Bottom, only to have it countered into a Stunner, for the win. Reminded me of so many classic battles between the two of them. At the end of the match, security had to hold The Rock & Austin back from one another. Looks like this rivalry, much like in real life, is far from over.
                    Rating - ****

Match 4 - Brock Lesnar vs Randy Orton vs John Cena - Again, this is a match I wouldn't have minded seeing in real life. Right before the match, it was announced that it would be a Falls Count Anywhere Match (it was already a No-DQ match). Early on, Cena went on the offensive and took it to Lesnar & Orton. After a few minutes, Cena & Orton almost seemed to start double teaming the bigger Lesnar. Of course, this only lasted for a while, as Lesnar soon started to man handle both guys. After 7 or 8 minutes, the action spilled to the outside, where Lesnar got the steal steps and started leveling everything in sight. After knocking out Orton with the steps, he caught Cena with an F-5, to pick up the victory. Solid match, but when compared to the other matches on the card, it just didn't stack up
                    Rating - ***

I have to say, I don't know if it's because of the patch THQ released, but the matches seem to be a lot better, and much more realistic.

With the patch and new DLC coming out today, I will hopefully be resuming my universe here soon with my 32-man tournament to determine the #1 contender for Lawler's undisputed championship. Will the King's 1380324502th championship title run be over in less than a month? Or does Lawler have some sleazy, queasy, and cheesy scheme to keep his title?

And I just got a cutscene for a custom match. Awesome! HBK vs. Austin in the first round of the tournament and The Rock decides that he doesn't want Austin to have a chance. Stone Cold vs. Rock is a potential quarter-final matchup.

Austin manages to survive and guess what? The Rock comes out again and takes out both Austin and HBK. I have heel corporate Rock!

And yet another cut scene in a custom match. Had R-Truth vs. The Miz on Superstars set up and Henry takes out the Miz on his way to the ring. Must not appreciate the asskicking Lesnar gave him on Raw. Not sure what Miz has to do with it.

Weren't they supposed to turn injuires down lol? After the patch I did like 5 shows and 3 injuries happened.

Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and Triple H are all hurt. Trips was the WWE Champ, Orton was #1 contender, and AJ was in his debut match lol A last man standing with Taker aha

If anything, they needed to be turned up. I saw 1 injury that lasted all of a couple weeks in the first 3+ months of my universe.

maybe it's my settings, idk...but I can't get any injuries.

I've had a lot of blood in matches, chairs, finishers on concrete, many ppl carried out on stretchers. Cena hurt Trips, got him carried off, then attacked him on the way out, still no injury. HHH was absolutely destroyed in that match by Heel Cena....and it was an iron man...losing 8-2.

CPU kept booking Bobby Hennan (deadbrand), and I got tired of changing it...so I said ok, Samoa Joe, have it....with sole purpose of injuring him. I literally got tired of beating him so bad. His whole body was red (grapple icon), at least 7 sets of finishers, half outside, chairs and tables. Dude was back next week.

Is it an individual attribute (ie durability), or a global setting that affects/controls injuries?
