Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

WCW Nitro (CPU Books all matches until after Wrestlemania)

      Match #1
      Rick Steiner v. Syxx-Pac

Syxx-Pac won despite interference from Scott Steiner. His hit the Bronco Buster that was followed by a face buster for the pinball. Winner - Syxx Pac

      Match #2 - Today's Remarkable Match

David Otunga v. Bret Hart, HBK, Arn Anderson

As the match began to start HBK, and Bret Hart began to argue about whom would start off the match. (Bret Hart defeated HBK in the elimination chamber to win the WWE Title on a corny roll up pin)

The team of Hart, HBK, and Arn Anderson dominate Otunga, and brutally beat him with HBK getting the pinball after two Arn Anderson spine busters. When HBK left ringside Arn stayed in the ring with Bret to continue to celebrate but Arn quickly turned on Bret and beat him down in the middle of the ring.

      Match #3
Primo - Epico - Bam Bam Bigelow - Ric Flair - Ultimate Warrior - Stevie Ray
6-Man Over the top Battle Royal

First man out was Epico whom was eliminated by Primo, Ultimate Warrior then eliminated Primo and Ric Flair, Stevie Ray eliminated Bam Bam Bigelow. Ultimate Warrior then eliminated Stevie Ray to win the Battle Royal.

James Storm dominated most of the match and gave Rey a Super kick then tag Batista whom then pinned Rey. for the win.

        Match #2
        The Road Warriors v. Demolition
        #1 Contenders Match

The Road Warriors defeat Demolition to become the #1 contenders for the Unified tag team title belts at Wrestlemania. Hawk hit the Dooms day Device (i think thats what it was called) for the pin.

        Match #3
        Randy Orton v. Brock Lesnar

It takes two RKO's but Randy Orton defeats Lesnar via Pinfall, despite Ted DiBiase interfering in the match.

        Match #4
        Edge v. Christian
        #1 Contenders Match

Despite Christian hitting the killswitch, Edge would rally back and hit an Edge-O-matic to score the pinball and become the #1 contender. At the conclusion of the match Edge celebrated with partner Jake the Snake Roberts

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Dude, that's the joy of WWE '12...it's art imitating...errr fake life!!!

And is anyone else getting terribly nostalgic playing this game, with all its legends and possibly caw legends of course, and started watching classic wrestling again?

WWE Classics has On-Demand, and I've been watching old RAW is WAR's, circa 1997 ("Attitude Era": ECW Invasion vs. Lawler, Undertaker vs. Psycho Sid as champ, Stonecold vs. Bret Hart, origins of D-X, Mankind/Rocky Maivia/Vader, European title) and WCW Nitro, 97-99 (DDP as champ, nWo, Piper as commish, crow Sting, The Flock, Wolfpac), etc....

I never had any intention of watching past classics 'til now! And the ideas we can get for our universe is endless!!

Though, I did sorta waste my time watching OLD Prime Time wrestling. The only enjoyable part of that was seeing the legendary bickering between Gorilla and The Brain! I mean.. Dino Bravo & Greg Valentine vs. The Rockers was the only redeeming match. I forgot about all those jobbers! LOL

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

Took a few days off (felt like weeks, I swear), so I could get a pretty accurate RAW from tonight. I probably could have predicted this card as obvious as it was, but, then again, I enjoyed my "time off" watching tons of great wrasslin' circa 97-99...hello ECW inasion, RAW is WAR and Nitro/Starcade "screwjob"..

                - RAW -

Miz vs. R-Truth. Highlights: Picking up from last week's countout victory -- and Dinero noticeably banned from ringsidecourtesy of Interim GM and yadda yadda yah, Laurinaitus -- Miz evens up the score with a rolling neckbreaker after I failed to kick out of another pin. Maybe the patch will get rid of this horrendous pinfall system. Winner: The Miz.

Pinfalls Count Anywhere: Zack Ryder w/ Eve vs. Kane. Highlights: Right away, Kane went from a running kick, missed Ryder and nailed Eve off the apron! This was a WAY better match than the one on Raw. Eve distracted Kane and I nailed a corkscrew DDT on the entrance ramp. Only a 1 count, though, as Kane 2-hand chokeslammed on the ramp (similar to tonight), and finished me off with a pumphandle reverse back suplex that sent Ryder tumbling on the stage! That was enough for the victory and maybe enough to put Ryder out of action for a while (considering he also took a beating last week against JBL on Smackdown), with the Big Red Machine on a roll towards Wrestlemania. Winner: Kane, but barely.

Main Event: CM Punk & John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger w/ Vickie. Highlights: This gave me a great opportunity to put Team Vickie together (w/ "Legacy's" trio entrance looks pretty cool) officially now that they finally have themselves a true tag match. This won't be much of a "cutscene RAW" seeing how I had to change the cards nearly completely, but there's still 3 weeks before WM, so it's all good. Tough tough TOUGH match...could have gone either way... while Ziggler was badly beaten down by Punk, the tag to Cena led to an STFU from Cena on Swagger and he would not let go after the bell!!! (okay, had to make that one up...) Cena got plenty of cheers and boo's...weird mash-up team, but good in-ring action. Winners: Punk &Cena.

                - Smackdown - Since there was 1 more match on RAW than my Smackdown, I just placed the last one in the SD ring...

Santino vs. McIntyre. Highlights: The last time these 2 squared off in my game, McIntyre actually got the victory, so I'm going with him today in hopes I'll lose! BTW, the more I see this guy, the more I'd really love to do a UK-Invasion stable or angle, esp. now that I've brought back Davey Boy Smith...maybe this'll work post RKO/Barrett. Already have nWo invading TNA and ECW coming post WM... Well, Santino is just far too weak in this game. Future shock. Winner: McIntyre. No "jobber" angle here!

Rhodes vs. Gabriel. Highlights: Dashing has no idea who is opponent is, thinking it's Hornswoogle... and it's the WWE return of Justin G. Only used Gabe in one match thus far and that was an X-Division Fatal 4-Way. Now he already gets a shot at, but not a shot for, the I.C. champ. And the high-flyer has an intriguing move-set, but I swear I missed a couple impact flying moves and had little to no recovery. Winner: Rhodes. Cutscene: Eddie Guerrero, Mysterio, and Chavo congratulate Cody for the win from the entrance ramp with a round of applause, as Cole says, "You don't think they're looking for another member, do you?" Wow! This continues the support that Rey (and Cena) gave to Austin Aires last week on TNA, following his newly crowned X-Division title. Rey's on a recruiting mission, amigo! But Cody Rhodes?!?

Non-Lumberjack Match: Bryan vs. Henry. Yeah, wish we could, right? Anyway, I didn't want to make this match any sorta gimmick in fear of losing any potential cutscenes. And there it is.. Bryan pulls the whole Flair handshake kick to the balls skit, pushing his heel-factor even further. While the fans don't like either superstar, I get the feeling they were going with Henry who dominated most of the match with high impact slams, including the World's Strongest. But somehow, this kid KICKED OUT!!! And I mean, this was after several devasting moves. Bryan fights back, almost submitting Mark with an armbar but then catching him with a belly-to-belly bridge (don't see how it's possible), but Henry sold a good move for once in his life and loses in the upset. Winner: Bryan. Assuming, he'll NOW have his sights set on Punk, whom he caused a loss to Nash last week!

Tables Match Main Event: Barrett vs. Sheamus. Rematch from last week, with RKO helping Shea get the victory. I suppose these fools want one more go at it before going their own ways with their own issues -- RKO, Swagger -- and it surely beats having Jinder Mahal involved. Wow, weird...very rare cutscene during a "customize freely" match, especially since I changed EVERYTHING: Swagger jumps in the ring, only to attack.. Barrett? Sheamus actually looks stunned and still none-too-pleased with Jack sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. He had that look like, "this isn't going to help you!" During the match, which involved a lot of table action, Sheamus head outside the ring to clobber Swagger, thus giving the US Champ a reason to exit. Both wrestlers came close to finishing one another through the tables, but it was Barrett who front suplexed the Great White, snapping the bingo table in half. Winner: Barrett. Another cutscene: After the match Barrett grabs a chair and goes to work on Sheamus. I guess these 2 won't be done, after all. Where's Randy?

                - TNA/Impact - Abyss may have put The Joker out for the week following last week's pump-handle slam on the chair on the concrete.. but still appearing this week, the Clown Prince of Crime announced he's hired not 2 but 3 men to battle the monster in a trio-handicap special...

Abyss vs. the nWo: Big Poppa Pump, Curt Henning...and his son! Michael McGillicutty! (Perfect addition to the New World Order as a Scott Norton clone, and for other obvious reasons!) We're sending more buildup for this team as the week's push on. We can already see several nWo signs in the crowd! Highlights: The Entrance with McGillicutty playing H-Wood's air guitar and Perfect spitting out the "gum" is awesome! The nWo entrance actually looked great, as Big Poppa Pump does the Nash as normally as he would. Love how they both do the nWo-point towards Mikey in the middle! Another good patch idea while my Mr. Perfect lays helpless on the tree-of-woe on MY OWN CORNER's turnbuckle. Lame. It'd be nice to see my corner actually be able to interfere/save my guy from that instead of hopping off the apron. Come on. Abyss beat us down pretty good, but I'll never forget my first father and son tag between Curt and Joe with a nice piledriver spike on Abyss! Tears to my eyes The nWo made a huge impact, as the ref was beat down several times, allowing several chair shots and illegal moves outside. Abyss fought back, booting all of the members at different points off the apron and on the floor, but the constant barrage was just too much. After McGillicutty belly to belly slammed the flanneled assassin, Steiner came in to clean up house with some more suplexes and a finishing camel clutch. I don't think Abyss quit; he just passed out. Winners: nWo! The Joke's definitely on YOU this week, big guy.

Crimson vs. Ryan. Serving as my "Magnus" of course, Mason Ryan takes on one half of the Unified Tag Champs in the big Crimson. Highlights: Every move Crimson did to end this quickly. Winner: Crimson.

X-Division Championship Rematch: Kidd w/ Natalya vs. Aires (Champ). Last week A Double became the new X-champ and this week, he's got a new pal accompanying him to the ring, Rey Mysterio! Highlights: Great back and forth high-flying action as you would expect. Natalya was ejected and Rey threw a wounded Kidd into the ring for Aires' 450 Splash. Appears this dude can go no wrong with the cruiserweight legend in his corner! Winner and still champ: Aires.

Non-title Main Event: Jeff Hardy (TNA World Champ) vs. James Storm. Storm hasn't exactly had the momentum lately with a few interference losses to Kurt Angle and Co. in the past few weeks. However, he won the Royal Rumble, so here's a PERHAPS sneak preview at WM in less than 4 weeks as the 2 top TNA faces do it up for the fans in the Impact Zone. Cutscene: And, unsurprisingly, there's an issue with Bully Ray attacking Storm from behind, nailing Storm into the ringpost and into the ring. The awesome part? The CPU Hardy left the ring to help Storm chase Bully back down the entrance ramp! This ended up a great pure wrestling match, and just as Hardy was perhaps going for the decisive victory, another cutscene: Bobby Roode and DANIEL BRYAN (!?!!) come to the ring to attack Hardy, thus ending the match in a double DQ. Damn, Bryan's been all over the place this week!

That's all we got time for!.. we gotta go!!.. see you next week on Impact!!! *in my very best Tony Schiavone*

Also, one last patch hope/recommendation: looking ahead, I notice the SAME card for the bajillionth time in a row. I mean really, A.I., you pull out great cut scenes but can't adjust to the damn card! Maybe the patch will create more relevant matches. Wishful thinking......

                    Won't be Jericho. :\.

but at least we get the Funkasaurus and masked Kane.

                    Now, for my Universe update

I finally jumped into the nWo storyline. had Nash interfere with Miz & R-Truth at Extreme Rules, by Jackknifing Truth.

Also, Evan Bourne won the U.S. title, so I think I'm going to have Kofi turn on him out of jealousy, and possibly join the nWo.

I'm still deciding on whether or not I could see Punk fitting in with these guys. He won the title back at Extreme Rules, and it was a clean victory, so I can't see a reason to turn him heel with the nWo.

No it's not. It is released the same time as the patch (which is not released today). Read their notice on the online welcome page.

And Jericho is not the make good DLC.

                        Loose,

I enjoy your weekly card update in your universe. I have not played for a few days myself.
I have been watching a lot of ol' World Class wrasslin' Texas days...and some great new NETFLIX free bee's...TAKERS TOMB STONE-I forgot how dope Taker was!..He needs to come back soon. Plus RAW attitude era and WCW Nitro best of, some of those are just great memories for life with friends and family.

I have to tell you, CM Punk has lost total momentum with the last 4 matches VS Ziggler. He only has 4 bars, was at almost full a month ago. I need to start something with him soon or I'm going to lose him, I might have to make him heel to get him back in wrasslin' status. Well see not sure yet?

My universe is going pretty good. Taker has come back to win the WWE championship and Barrett won the title from Henry off of WM. Hunter will get his re-match at Extreme Rules 4 weeks away, should be fun to see what brews till then.

What the secret to re-markable matches- I also have a reason why the AI sets up some cards week after week. Play out the matches to make rivals and allies. CPU does some weird things, i hope the patch fixes some of the issues.

Peace-update later-the boys are playing wrestlers right, Cage match - rumble!..they like wrasslin like there daddy, 32yrs of enjoying sports entertainment!..

That's all they like is Wrestling and monster trucks...the 6 yr and 2 yr old fight on who is going to start the rumble matches and tag teams they form...It is so funny to sit back and watch. 24/7 on my house!

Good to see that their childhood is similar to ours

                            On the Road to Wrestlemania...

                            - RAW - Tonight, live from Baltimore, Maryland... RAW IS JERICHO!

Y2J was noticeably absent from last week's event, perhaps recovering from the amazing triple threat that was the Royal Rumble Winner's Event...even though, the actual RR-winner was not there. Regardless, Chris held off not one but two World Champions in the same night, as well as an attack ringside from Bill Goldberg. After actually have something to say, he's rudely interrupted (making this part up) by the music of former Tag Team Champion, Kofi Kingston. It's been informed that his partner Evan Bourne was suspended and subsequently shipped off to development under the TNA monicker. I expect he'll be X-Division ready in after WM. As for Kofi, he had enough of the boisterious remarks. Highlights: Y2J definitely dominated for a long time, as Ziggler ran out to the ring and interfered but didn't quite initialize who he was there to see! After Kofi broke out of the Code Breaker, the onslaught continued as the Savior won with an ol' school Lionsault. Is the former WWE champion recruiting, or scouting a perhaps WM #1 contender? Winner: Jericho.

Husky Harris vs. "The Funkosaurus" Brodus Clay w/ Alicia Fox. Highlights: Somebody betta call Husky's mama. Winner: Funk.

Triple Threat: CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kevin Nash. The CPU has insisted on this match for over a month now, and it still fits in the storyline, so I'm going to finally give it a whirl! Double Cutscene! Nash sneaks from up under the ring to attack Punk during his entrance, and in the beginning of the match, both Punk and Zig agree to double team Nash. Highlights: As soon as Nash gave Punk a hefty boot outside of the ring, he forgot about Ziggler who slapped on his deadly sleeper for the surprising submission finish! Winner: Ziggler. Cutscene: Zig also actually offers Punk a handshake after the ring, to which Punk.. ACCEPTED!?!?!

Main Event: Kane vs. John Cena. Funny hearing the double boo's from the crowd, but that's also atypical of wrestling "fans" these days. Highlights: Kane tombstones Cena outside on the concrete! Cutscene: Just as Cena was about to make a valiant comeback, THE ROCK rushes down the ring to get a better look!! Cena, distracted, is chokeslammed to the mat for the pinfall. Winner: Kane. Another loss to Kane on Cena's resume, and this is the first time we've seen Rocky in my Universe. What is this all about!?!!

GM's note: Yes, I gave in and downloaded a CAW of The Rock. With WM only 3 weeks away, I had to get him going! Who knows when the DLC will be available.......... :/

                            - Smackdown -

McIntyre vs. Sheamus. Wow 2 Smackdown appearances in a row for Drew. But with Big Mac coming off consecutive victories over Santino and Sheamus coming off a rare loss (from the tables match with Barrett), I figured this would make an intriguing matchup -- well, that, and they wrestle this week on the real Smackdown. Highlights: Shea tosses Drew through the announce table. Barrett runs down the ring to get a good look, but merely tosses Sheamus back into the ring 3 repeated times Drew punched him off the apron. As soon as Barrett left, the Great White got enough momentum to perform the Celtic Cross. Winner: Shea. Even with RKO back, this new feud is only getting more interesting -- and so much for Drew's brief "push."

                            __________________________________________________ ________________________

                            Continued from last night...

If you remember, Cody Rhodes victory over Justin Gabriel last week caught the attention of an ever-recruiting Rey Mysterio and he was accompanied by Guerrero Brothers. With this said, I have decided to make the team (w/ entrance) of "Latino Heat" (which also serves me greatly since I don't have Epico & Primo!). Somehow, the CPU decided to book this match:

Trio Handicap: Rhodes vs. Eddie, Chavo, and Mysterio. What the.. hey? Let's just say Rhodes had an opening segment and Latino Heat just decided to confront him. Which led to a.. challenge? Cutscene: confusion as to who was going to start the match between Eddie & Chavo.. meh. But wait, just after the match begins -- cutscene -- Chavo DECKS Eddie and leaves the ring! Rhodes actually puts up a stellar fight that lasts awhile, but after the 3 Amigos from Eddie, Cody falls to the 6-1-9!!! Wow, I've never saw the move in the game, pretty f'n awesome. Winners: Eddie & Rey. I suppose THIS is the NEW Latino Heat! Were they only recruiting Cody to claim a point? Cutscene: Wait. What the hell! Rey just turned on Eddie after the match and gives him the stomps! It's complete havoc here on Smackdown!!! (I also notice that Eddie is immediately scrapped from the Latino Heat team, so I decided to change his theme to the "Mexican Patriot" one and leave the "Lie, Cheat, & Steal" for Chavo & Rey).

Main Event Nontitle: Big Show (WWE Champion) vs. Mark Henry. This is the Show's first appearance since losing to Y2J in the triple threat RR Winner's Challenge. Despite the madness that was that night, there's still plenty of unfinished business with Henry, though Show knows he has Daniel Bryan lurking over his shoulder (I think Bryan is lurking over EVERYONE's shoulder!). Highlights: This was great! After a very good back n' forth match, cutscene: Chris Jericho runs down towards the ring from an aisle up in the audience, leaping over the guard-rail. He proved valuable to his former teammate, kicking Henry and throwing him back in the ring in time for a "Showstopper" and "WMD," 1-2-3. Winner: Big Show. Jericho's certainly up to no good, for sure!

Re: Official: How's your WWE 12 Universe going?

                              - TNA/Impact - Taking the week off from the ongoing storylines here to build up the matches that are going on in real life. It's typically how I'm doing my Universe, one event is close to the real show, the next follows the CPU's storylines. So far, it's been effective.

Samoa Joe vs. Matt Morgan. I knew something was fishy when my Joe, who was supposed to enter first, didn't! Cutscene: He attacks Morgan from behind during his entrance, and it only proved enough to battle through a tough match that finished with a back body drop on a chair the ref didn't notice to a body plancho off the ropes. Winner: Joe. It was a big win for Joe, as his tag title match w/ Mason Ryan in 2 weeks at Against All Odds will prove (my TNA show before WM), and even that wasn't enough, as he continued to mudhole stomp Morgan after the bell! Talk about picture-perfect cutscenes!

Also, I think now I've reached a point in my Universe where I CAN "customize" matches freely and still have great cutscenes. It's happened 3 times in a row now. Wow, fantastic.

Alex Shelley vs. Sin Cara. The return of one-half of the esteemed Motor City Machine Guns and Impact X-Division great, Alex Shelley, after not wrestling for nearly a year! He's got his sites set on new X-champ Austin Aires, so it's great to see the highly talented high-flyer back in action. Highlights: Tons of high-flying and impressive reversals. Sin Cara kicked out of Shelley's modified Celtic Cross, but only to receive a Shellshock (Spinning Complete Shot) when returning to the ring. Winner: Shelley.

Triple Threat #1 Contender's Match: Kharma vs. Michelle McCool vs. Maryse. It's the TNA debut of Maryse, as the winner of this match will face Layla at A.A.O. After not again seeing any cutscene before the match, I decided to simulate this. Sorry. Winner: McCool. Funny thing is, this win actually made the "News" section.

Main Event Tables Match: Jeff Hardy (TNA Champ) & James Storm vs. Bully Ray & Bobby Roode. The real main event for this week's TNA actually also works perfectly with the ongoing drama in my U (if you read my last week's Impact, I'm not kidding..). Highlights: My Hardy misses the swanton off the ropes and INTO the table! They didn't call the match that way, so James Storm eventually suplexes Roode through one of the tables! Winners: Hardy & Storm. This was a fantastic match, especially done "tornado" style. After Storm's music rings, both Kurt Angle and Double J rush to the ring to attack the champ and RR-winner!

The Road to Wrestlemania (and Against All Odds) continues...

I'm thinking about TNA PPV's being used on IMPACT the following Sunday WWE PPV night as normal..so i can have 2 PPVS for each brand. Just need to find some Arena to use. I have a few that are great by dre41.

Your Universe is in full swing. I need to get some time in playing wwe12' again'. i have some ideas that stormed in my head the last few nights. I also heard from some people that the patch will drop notes tomorrow and hopefully fix issues..universe update later tonight!...
