Re: WWE 13 Slider Thread
I'm about 6 months into my universe and there are some screwy results but not many. Once I turned off count outs it got better. Thanks for your advice, I think I will tweak things some to keep the integrity of the weight classes there."A two count is routine. You kick out at two if you aren’t done. Kicking out at one is a MESSAGE. It says NO in capital letters. A middle finger. A promise that the other man is going to have to kill you if they’re going to put you down." ~ Brandon Stroud -
Re: WWE 13 Slider Thread
Let me ask you this, how are your rosters set up? I have 3 shows with 20 wrestlers each for a total of 60. I created my own rating system that limits the number of wrestlers who can try for the heavyweight belts."A two count is routine. You kick out at two if you aren’t done. Kicking out at one is a MESSAGE. It says NO in capital letters. A middle finger. A promise that the other man is going to have to kill you if they’re going to put you down." ~ Brandon StroudComment

Re: WWE 13 Slider Thread
Where do I go to change:
Push
Primary (i.e. Balanced, Power, Luchador, etc...)
Secondary (i.e. see above)
Traits 1-5 (i.e. Well-Rounded, High Flyer, Quick As A Cat, etc...)
Health Traits
I haven't downloaded the Fan Axxess, but I am able to go in and change their attribute points.
I'm confused."A two count is routine. You kick out at two if you aren’t done. Kicking out at one is a MESSAGE. It says NO in capital letters. A middle finger. A promise that the other man is going to have to kill you if they’re going to put you down." ~ Brandon StroudComment

Re: WWE 13 Slider Thread
You received n answer on how. The spreadsheet in this thread just has guys listed as Main Event, Jobbers, etc. There is no way to pick someone as a Jobber in the attributes except to change them yourself. It isn't like an option for Hammer Throw. For example, Cena is a Main Event "talent". If you want him as a Jobber them adjust his ratings to no higher than what he has listed as the maximums of each type of wrestler.Comment

The primary, secondary, and traits 1-5 were just the creator's way of having a range of attribute styles for wrestlers. They are like a template for a certain basic 'style' of wrestler. Since he had to overhaul all the ratings, he just used those as templates for what range to give certain types of wrestlers. This helped him refine ratings, and also helps come up with new ratings for CAWs or characters not on his spreadsheet.
example: We know Rey Mysterio and AJ Styles are high flyers, so they should have high ratings in some similar categories, however, they perform slightly differently, so they shouldn't have each rating exactly the same. They each have their own style, so maybe AJ's strikes are harder and Rey's Adrenaline is higher...whatever, so you make that slight adjustment. If we were trying to come up w/ Aj's ratings from scratch, we could use Rey's ratings as a base for a few of them - maybe the 'high flyer' or 'lucha' settings. Hope that makes sense...AJ, RVD and Rey may all be 'high flyers', but they have aspects that make them different...and they may not all fly as 'high', per se (due to age, ability, whatever).Comment

Re: WWE 13 Slider Thread
I usually see the AI use their finishers on me directly after a reversal, which is pretty cool. I have come to terms that the AI is not going to be perfect, and for more experienced gamers we will have to play with some house rules. This is not a problem for me, because when I play a match I don't have to be all over the CPU and be overly aggressive from start to finish; real WWE programming is not like that and I play to mimic real programming as best as possible. I made the attribute edits and slider edits to challenge myself, which has worked for me because my win/loss ratio is about 60/40 now, and with the house rules I use I am having a ton of fun with the game.
Basically, if you expect the AI to behave like a human 100% of the time you will be disappointed - it's just not gonna happen. If you can learn to live with the shortcomings of the AI and implement some house rules then you will start to enjoy the game over time.
For what its worth, my house rules:
1. When AI hits finishers, close eyes until the 1 1/2 or 2 count by the ref, then try to kick out.
2. One attempt at a reversal per grapple. Ex: theres 2+ windows to reverse a move by the CPU (I say 2+ because sometimes they go from say a headlock to a waist lock, then perform the move). The window that you will see reversals more is the window AFTER the initial "grab" (between the first grab and the move itself), so I try to reverse the INITIAL grab more so than the one in between.
3. If you go on a big run with the CPU not getting any moves in, don't reverse for a few moves.
4. DO NOT "spam" any one move, use a variety. Don't go for running grapple after running grapple.
4a. Play to your characters strengths. If you are Punk, strike a lot. If you are Mark Henry, use your grapple moves. If you are a high flyer, use those moves to your advantage.
Thats basically it. If you are playing this game just to beat the **** out of the CPU and expect a great challenge, you will only get that by them doing reversals. If you learn to play differently then you will learn to love the game for what it is.Comment

Re: WWE 13 Slider Thread
But since adjusting 13 to your sliders and wrestler stats ive been losing matches which sounds dumb but its good to know I can loose a match and not just win 100% of the time.Comment

Re: WWE 13 Slider Thread
So, I'm new to this thread, but have recently gotten back into playing WWE 13 after taking a few months off due to boredom. I am looking forward to trying out these sliders and attributes, as I like what I read about the discrepancies between characters, etc. The excel spreadsheet near the start of the thread is still the most updated version I assume? If not, can someone repost the link, so as to save me 27 pages of looking?
Also, I actually had my first ever CPU 2 count kickout last night. I read in this thread that supposedly there was a patch coming, but this is still the ONLY time I've ever seen this happen. Did they ever address the issue or not? I did a full-on double take at the screen when the guy kicked out.Comment
