Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
So...
I started playing last night, and it took me 2 hours to create myself, then I realized ring wear, entrance wear, and cinema wear were different
.
So..
I figured I'd start all over in the morning, I havent played a match yet, but I love the depth of the customization

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
So I'm in week 4, last Raw before Extreme Rules...I've been trying to follow what you guys have said about not editing in order for storylines & cutscenes to occur.
I have Rey vs Zack Ryder in the 1st match on Raw, it's been the same opening match since week 1.
Miz vs Otunga in an IRONMAN match is in match #2...hahaha.
Kofi-Truth vs Primo-Epico is in match #4, this has been the same match 4 since week 1.
Main event on Raw is Cena vs Kane rematch from last week. It is the last Raw before the ppv and Punk has not been on Raw EVER. Lol never been in a match.
I GIVE UP!
I'm a diehard wrestling nerd and I hate that I'm playing these foolish matches in hopes of storylines progressing. Screw this, I'm resetting it and booking all my own matches & own feuds.Comment

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
PREVIEW
The card for Extreme Rules is set! After weeks of feuding, rivalries are about to come to a head, as championships are put on the line!
WWE United States Championship
David Otunga v. Santino Marella (C)
David Otunga was the benefactor of the bitter rivalry between The Miz and Mike Tyson, as Otunga took advantage of interference by The Miz to pick up a victory over Iron Mike. This victory put Otunga in the driver's seat for a title shot against Santino Marella, and Otunga will get that title shot at the United States Championship at Extreme Rules.
Bret Hart v. British Bulldog
The reunion of the Hart Foundation was short lived. The Hard Foundation quickly shot their way up to the top of the tag team division, solidifying a title shot against new champions Team Hell No. However, before they had their shot at the titles, Bret Hart turned on his partner, leaving him to fend for himself. Instead of working together for the WWE Tag Team Championship, Hart and the Bulldog will face off against each other to settle their differences.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Stone Cold Steve Austin v. Sheamus (C)
Sheamus set his sights on the Texas Rattlesnake early, getting in his face during a match when the Celtic Warrior made his presence at the commentary table. Ever since then, Austin and Sheamus have been going at each other back and forth. Finally, these 2 will face off at Extreme Rules with the title on the line. But are the odds in Austin's favor? Last week on Smackdown saw the WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon himself, come to Austin's aid, low blowing Sheamus who was getting himself involved in a match between Austin and Alberto Del Rio. Is McMahon in Austin's corner? And if so, will that give Austin an edge in his chase for the title?
WWE Intercontinental Championship
Mike Tyson v. The Miz (C)
For weeks, The Miz has been feuding with Iron Mike Tyson, enraged by being unable to beat the former heavyweight champion. In a match that likely favors Tyson, The Miz will defend his Intercontinental Championship in a K.O. match.
WWE Divas Championship
Beth Phoenix (C) v. Nikki Bella
Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger v. Kofi Kingston & R-Truth
WWE Championship
Chris Jericho v. The Rock v. CM Punk
The Rock and CM Punk seemed to have a mutual respect for each other, seemingly aligned when Chris Jericho got himself involved in their business. The feud between The Rock and CM Punk intensified after The People's Champion felt like Punk screwed him over as the special guest referee between he and Y2J. After Jericho weaseled himself into the title picture with a questionable steel cage match victory over The Rock, The Rock made sure the match became a triple threat, Rock Bottoming both men during a match on Raw.
-----
Christian v. Cody Rhodes
The rivalry between Christian and Cody Rhodes came to a head on Smackdown. In honor of the upcoming PPV, the 2 men battled in a Falls Count Anywhere Extreme Rules Match. Christian defeated Cody Rhodes in a match that will surely have heavy implications in the Intercontinental Championship picture.
Ted DiBiase v. Hunico
These two men shared a brief rivalry that ended when DiBiase defeated Hunico in a Falls Count Anywhere Match on Smackdown 2 weeks ago.Comment

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
Still working on getting the hang of the Universe Mode but there were a few things I took matters into my own hands as I entered myself in the Royal Rumble and won. Then I fought against Cena for the championship and I was on the top rope going for a neckbreaker...forgetting that he had a finisher...caught me and gave me the AA. I literally was likeand
at the exact same time. I watched him celebrate and was like "really?!". That was indeed fun but I'm wondering how to better get cutscenes because my CAW sometimes doesn't get any.
I also am curious on how others are playing Universe Mode. I like playing GM on one brand but then also just doing the "story" on the other brand where my CAW is but I just can't seem to get cutscenes and so forth. Any advice as I'm getting back into WWE 13 since HCTP?"If you ain't first, you're last" ~Ricky BobbyComment

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
So over the past few weeks Bossman has been hurt and my Universe is kinda making his return awesome. First he came out for commentary for a Bryan vs. Punk match, then the next week he came out after a Punk vs. Bryan match attacking both of them, now about two weeks after the last sighting his music hits right in the middle of a Brock vs. Punk match as Punk is stomping the hell out of Brock scaring Punk and Brock gets up and nails Punk with a german suplex. Now in the end Punk just beat Brock, but that last cutscene was very cool and one i have not seen yet.

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
Now going on from my last post, Bossman has made his return to the ring against Kofi Kingston. Before the match started though, CM Punk came out and is in Kofi's corner, during the match Kofi and Bossman are doing a walk around but Bossman takes notice to Punk and Punk distracts him which leads to Kofi attacking Bossman from behind.Come hang with me on YouTube! Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
The key to having cutscenes/storylines seems to be not having shared titles on your brands (Universe wont create stories between inter-brand wrestlers, so these matches wont have them) and simulating the first month because the first month is just messed up for some reason.
Doing this I've had 3-4 feuds per card with continuing cutscenes each week. Nothing really great, but they have been continuous.Comment

I'm also done with the preset booking. The Raw before a big ppv I had Miz vs Otunga in an ironman match in the 2nd match! Lol. And so Smackdown has to bring it after the huge Raw match so they book Dibiase vs Sin Cara in a TLC match in the 2nd match! hahaha wtf.
I'll be the bookie going forward. No more ******** match cards... if I can't get story progression well then that sucks but I'll live with it.Comment

RESULTS
The results of Extreme Rules are in, and the WWE landscape has been drastically altered!
WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
David Otunga def. Santino Marella (C)
Special Referee: John Laurinaitis
David Otunga's path to the United States Championship was a questionable one, being given the #1 Contender's spot after a controversial victory over Mike Tyson that came from interference by The Miz. Questions were answered as John Laurinaitis made his way to the ring, announcing himself as the special referee for the United States Championship Match. Santino Marella couldn't overcome the blatantly bias officiating as Mr. Excitement obviously protected his investment in Otunga. Marella couldn't survive Laurinaitis' refusal to count the champion's pinfalls, and finally dropped the belt to Otunga following a quick 3 count. Team Laurinaitis is back in full force.
Bret Hart def. British Bulldog
The Hart Foundation never even had a full match together before Bret Hart broke all ties with British Bulldog, leaving him to fend for himself against the WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No. It's still unknown why Hart gave up a Tag Team Championship opportunity at Extreme Rules, but after his defeat of British Bulldog, it seems that tag team glory isn't in the Hitman's immediate future.
WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - EXTREME RULES
Stone Cold Steve Austin def. Sheamus (C)
An epic match that saw the champion hold a long advantage finally came to an end with a Stunner and the Rattlesnake taking the World Heavyweight Championship. Austin had been struggling with Sheamus the past few weeks, but came through when it counted the most.
WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP - K.O. ONLY MATCH
The Miz (C) def. Mike Tyson
It is very rare that a champion can be looked upon as the underdog, but that was the case at Extreme Rules when The Miz defended his Intercontinental Championship in a match heavily favored towards the challenger. However, with the odds stacked against him, The Miz would prevail in a match that many said he had no business winning. Things looked grim for the champion early as Tyson superplexed Miz from the top rope to the floor outside the ring. The Miz struggled to get up, but was able to get to his feet. As the fight continued outside the ring, The Miz hit Iron Mike with a Skull Crushing Finale. It wasn't enough, and Tyson was able to get back to his feet, but inside the ring, Tyson fell to a 2nd Skull Crushing Finale that was too much for the challenger to get back up from.
WWE DIVAS CHAMPIONSHIP
Nikki Bella def. Beth Phoenix (C)
Extreme Rules Tornado Tag Match
Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger def. Kofi Kingston & R-Truth
WWE CHAMPIONSHIP - EXTREME RULES MATCH
The Rock def. CM Punk (C) and Chris Jericho
Bloody and battered are the 2 best words to describe the competitors after this match, that saw bodies go through tables, ladders, chairs, and anything else these men could get their hands on. CM Punk seemed to have the match won, catching Jericho as he flew off the top rope, and hitting him with the GTS. The pin was broken up, and the match would continue. The Rock would hit CM Punk with a Rock Bottom as Jericho slid into the ring with a cup. The Rock took the cup from Jericho and splashed the contents in his eyes, distracting Jericho long enough for The Rock to pick up the pin on CM PunkComment

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?
Once again..complete noob
Im having a ball with this universe mode! But I do have a couple questions.
Why are there so many championship belts, and can I just put EVERYONE on one roster? I bought the DLC to unlock everyone and I dont care about duplicate players (I had Dude Love vs Mankind vs Cactus Jack for the Hardcore title). Or is it a bad idea to do this?..
Is there a way to get the old Nation of Domination music & attire? They were my favorite coming up.Rather than complain about life, take responsibility and do something about it..Comment
