Sure- just create some minor shows and hook them into your roster.

For myself, I created two rosters-- main eventers on RAW and the mid-tier guys on Smackdown. RAW's major belt is the heavyweight championship with the Intercontinental belt as the minor. On Smackdown, the major belt is the US Championship. The IC belt is also Smackdown's minor belt. Both shows share the tag and diva belts.

I've found that I get good mixing between my stars and the middle guys without getting too much. By taking my elite guys out of the running for the IC belt, I can isolate them against each other without worrying about them getting matched up against mid-tier folks.

I've got several ways to subtly push (or bury) someone by both changing which roster they're on and which belt they compete for. It's working for me so far.

Whichever you prefer!

I create my own matches, because I like to build my own feuds and then adjust them and have them play out based on what Universe does with them. However, it seems to be the consensus that editing matches gets you less cutscenes and storylines. I have still gotten cutscenes, but no ongoing storylines like I had last year, where I could create my own matches, and as cutscenes played out, storylines would be created and take place.

It seems that if you play the CPU booked matches, you get more cutscenes and storylines, but then with that option, you have no control over the Universe mode. Since I like to have control, I edit my matches and play out my own feuds, and hope that the cutscenes and storylines come (like they did last year and in '11 - if they did this year too WWE '13 would be hands down the best game in every way)

As far as my Universe goes, something that I am thinking about doing (but haven't decided yet, because I'm not sure if I want to make drastic changes to the rosters or play it closer to "real life") is having 3 different rosters / Major shows.

Roster 1 would be my biggest roster, it would be a mix of Attitude Era and current guys, basically putting all of my favorite guys in the game on one roster. It'd be Raw / Smackdown (Smackdown being a minor show, and sharing the Raw roster), a newly created 2nd Major show for all the rest of the big names that I enjoy using, and a 3rd show for the minor league guys that I don't really want getting mixed up with the big boys.

Raw / Smackdown:

The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Miz, Alberto Del Rio, Undertaker, Chris Jericho, Edge*, Mankind, Road Dogg, Mr. ***, Christian, Faarooq*, Bradshaw*, JBL*, X-Pac, Vince McMahon*, Shane McMahon*, Mike Tyson

Belts:

WWE Championship ('98-'02)

I'm torn between Bradshaw and JBL, because I don't want 2 of the same guy, but I like both of these guys cuz I want the APA, but I also like JBL as a solo main eventer.

Obviously I don't have everyone unlocked yet, and as I unlock more I can fit them in where I see fit. This is what I'm thinking about doing, like I said, not 100% sure. Not sure if I want to make these drastic types of changes.

But since I am a sucker for "storyline" and things happening "organically", what I may do is when I get the McMahons unlocked, start a rivalry between The Corporation and Team Laurinaitis, resulting in John Laurinaitis getting a separate show with this new roster. The Corporation would be the authority figure on Raw / Smackdown, with John Laurinaitis being the authority figure on the new show.

On looking at it, outside of a few exceptions, I guess that is Attitude Era vs. Non-Attitude Era lol.

Also, guys like The Rock, Triple H, Edge, Chris Jericho, Undertaker, Kane, etc... would all be non-Attitude Era versions where the choice is possible.

Well I finally got my Universe to where I like it!

Everyone is on my Raw roster, duplicates and all.

I have 1 major show (Raw) & 3 minors (Nxt, Smackdown, Heat..it wont let me have 2 majors)

Only 4 belts are active WWE Champ - CM Punk, Hardcore Champ - Dude Love, Tag Champs R-Truth & Kofi (not for long! Extreme Rules, theyre run is over!) Diva Champ - Beth Phoenix

Ive gotten cutscenes for every match, but I only play when my CAWs are schedueled. The rest I simulate.

Can 1 roster only have 1 major, or am I missing something?

Can a female Tag Team challenge for the belts?

Im thinking about making a "Kat Williams-like" CAW to partner with Godfather, that would be funny! Im also going to make a roided up female and partner her with Kharma, then add them to The Bullies (original CAW stable I made).

I think that if you have two major shows, and split your roster between the two but keep the same titles on each show it's essentially the same as having 1 roster, I may be wrong though but that's what it seems to be for me so far. I'd love to know exactly how the cut scenes work though , for example if you skip the entrances can you still get the cut scene?

I thought about doing that too, but after I got everyone 1 roster I just wanted to play . I guess I could put everyone that annoys me on another roster like Primo, Epico, Otunga, Brodus Clay, uh pretty much all the new guys I know nothing about. To be honest that may be the better way to go except one of my major shows would be filled with bumbs and I would never play any of the matches.

haha what I meant was to say, split up all the wrestlers you wanna use in half, and have two major shows, then as long as you have at least 1 of the same title on each show you can have different titles on each show but they'll still be on both haha hard to word but basically it's the only way I've figured to have more than 3 legit titles per roster.

This is what I did. My two shows are RAW and Smackdown. RAW has my heavy hitters, the Heavyweight belt (major), the IC belt, tag belts, and diva. Smackdown has my mid-card guys, the US belt (major), the IC belt, tag belts, and diva.

Universe could have made things simpler by allowing one brand's minor belt to be another brand's major belt but they don't so I couldn't have the IC belt be the major belt on Smackdown.

You can also choose to have wrestlers compete (or not) for any minor belts that they qualify for but you can't choose to have them not compete for their brand's major belt.

So what I did is took my top tier RAW stars out of competition for the IC belt. This way, barring storylines and tag team action, they'll never be paired against wrestlers from Smackdown.

The main portion of my RAW roster competes for both belts so they might get matched up with a Smackdown wrestler. (In fact, Road Dogg, on the Smackdown roster of my Universe, is currently the #1 contender to the IC strap).

It occurs to me that I could relegate someone to the bottom tier by moving them to Smackdown and then only having them compete for the US belt as they will, at that point, only compete against Smackdown wrestlers.

I do have a Saturday show (Superstars) as a minor show that combines the rosters. I still think that, as far as I can tell, the booking 'rules' I've set up still apply (storylines, feuds aside) as I'm pretty sure, from what I've seen, the Universe books according to the ranking leaderboards, or at least weighs it heavily in its inscrutable thinking.

For example: in my Universe right now, Bret Hart and Stone Cold are #2 and #3 on the Heavyweight championship ranking. Universe has booked them into a program. Same thing happened before the last pay-per-view except it was Rock and Hart. Often, the #1 contender feuds with the champ leading up to a title match at the next pay-per-view.

With this setup, I do feel like I have some modicum of control about how wrestlers get used while still letting the CPU set all the matches on the card. I really haven't gotten many inexplicable match cards. I'll try to post some to illustrate when I have a chance.

Where do you go to set whether a wrestler is competing for a belt?

Good read! Can you have WWE title (major) and world heavyweight (minor) on Raw and then IC (major) and US (minor) on smackdown? If I did that, a lot of my complaints would be fixed.

Can you have more then 1 minor show? Or is it 1 minor for each major?
