I started getting more cutscenes, which was nice, but I wasn't seeing many new cutscenes or branching storylines. Well...
It was Monday Night Raw. Tonight's Highlight match: Kurt Angle (CAW) vs. Road Dogg. They hadn't been feuding so I thought the booking was a little random. Angle got attacked by Miz before the match (cutscene) and Road Dogg won. After the match, I notice that it's a cutscene. And...boom! Branching Storyline! Road Dogg extended his hand to Kurt after the match, and Kurt had the option to shake Dogg's hand, walk away, or attack. I couldn't decide, so I randomly scrolled between the 3, and landed on shake hands. Next week, Kurt Angle defeated by Miz. Miz got a chair to attack Angle, but Road Dogg chased Miz off. Finally! Branching storylines! Only took about 4 Universe months.

Also having a sick Brock Lesnar storyline. He's my WWE champion. He's defeated former champ Triple H multiple times when the title's on the line. So after Summerslam, number one contenders match, Dolph Ziggler vs. Chris Jericho. Brock attacks Jericho before the match and Dolph wins. I thought this meant that Brock and Ziggler were allies. Next week, Dolph vs. CM Punk. Lesnar comes down mid match, looks like he's going to attack Punk but attacks Dolph, and Punk wins. Lesnar's an uncontrollable beast! Finally, my Universe is complete. The CPU booking, I must say is much more logical than last year.
so do you or anyone else think the matches that have "Tonight's Highlighted Match" are the ones with the branching storylines that gives you a choice?

and if so u have to play those to get the choice right? u cant just watch it and still get the choice?
"on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd
I'm sure there's plenty of prostitutes you could pay if you really want vd.
yea but will they take psn cards
Depends on what area of a hooker you would use to redeem them.

So honestly you really don't have full control over things like they claim.

            RAW, May, week 3:

The Rock (me) def. The Miz - Nice 10 minute match here, good offense by both men before I hit a quick spinebuster and People's Elbow! Miz kicked out at 1, naturally, and we brawl outside for a bit with him hitting the Skull Crushing Finale on the outside. I got back in the ring at 8, and after a couple of counters, surprised Miz with a Rock Bottom for the victory.

State of Play: Rock was defeated by Lesnar at Extreme Rules so picked up some momentum here leading to the next PPV. Still undecided about where I want to fit him in on that card.

John Cena (me) def. Jinder Mahal: Regulation win for Cena with the STF. Not sure what to do with him PPV or title-wise yet.

David Otunga def. Rey Mysterio, Roman Reigns and Kofi Kingston (Simmed)

Wade Barrett def. Chris Jericho (me) - Really good match on Epic settings. After nearly 10 mins, I hit the Walls and a Codebreaker, but Barrett kicked out at 2. I later hit another Codebreaker and the Liontamer, but to no avail. Barrett landed the Winds of Change to pick up the win. Really nice match, I think Barrett could be in line for a title shot soon.

Road Dogg (me) def. R- Truth: Strange main event on such a strong card but it was a Highlight Match so I thought 'what the heck'. It was a good match and their history created some back story in my head. I might take this forward to PPV.

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

So I finally finished Attitude Era mode and I think I have my Universe all set. I'll wait until tomorrow's DLC to round out the titles but hopefully the setup is good for now. I may get rid of ECW since it only has 15 guys (enough to make it major) but I'll see how it goes for the first few months. Here is what I have:

              3 brands: ECW, WCW, WWF
Each brand has their own PPV each month.

              Weekly schedule:
              Monday-Raw Is War
              Tuesday-Monday Nitro
              Wednesday-ECW
              Thursday-Smackdown
              Friday-WCW Thunder

              Champs:
              WWF: Dude Love/Mankind
              WWF IC: Shamrock
              WWF Tag: New Age Outlaws
              Women's: Sable
              WCW: Hogan
              WCW US Title: Bret Hart
              ECW: Tazz

I've also assigned European, Cruiserweight, Light Heavyweight, and Hardcore champs but will just have to manage them manually.

It will end up being a fictional universe but is loosely based on rosters from early 1999. I've mixed in a few current roster guys but it's almost solely based on Attitude Era guys and CAWs.

              A few notes/questions though:
              - Once I have tomorrow's DLC, I'll assign some of the other champs for WCW/ECW.
              - Has anyone found a way to have a tag team that is also part of a stable? D-X and the Outlaws are the prime examples. I can have HHH & Michaels as D-X and Road Dogg & Gunn as the NAO but I can't do HHH, RD, Gunn, Stephanie, and X-Pac as the McMahon-Helmsley regime. I've run into the same issue with Nash & Hall being The Outsiders but I can't also have them & Hogan as the nWo.
              - Something weird happened after I had everything set up and was editing the rankings. I clicked on Stone Cold to change where he was...and everything got jacked up and reset with all of my CAWs at the top. I went through and re-ranked EVERYONE but want to know what I did and/or how to avoid that in the future. Thoughts?
              - If I have Cactus Jack/Mankind/Dude Love all active on the same roster, will they ever be booked in the same match? In previous years, if you used one version of a wrestler, the other one was disabled...I only have Dude Love active for now but might make them all active if I know it won't make any Foley-Foley matches.
              - Any suggestions for realistic ways to move guys between brands? I don't want to make it exactly like reality but I would like to throw in some movement. Ideally, it would be something fairly random so I can let the CPU run with things more.

If anyone is curious about what my rosters look like, let me know. Otherwise, I tried to get an entire spectrum of CAWs from main eventers down to jobbers and divas.

This is what I would like to do also. I haven't bought the game yet, (waiting on it as my "Christmas Present"). I was wondering if this was possible, last year I had Raw, Nitro, and ECW and manually booked the ECW matches. Since I don't have the game yet, and have been reading to plot out my Universe, Did you make WWE Raw and WCW Nitro Major shows and Smackdown and Thunder minor shows using their respective rosters and ECW a minor show manually using its own roster?

I'd like this... but you had Miz drop the belt, so I can't like it.

                        Matter of principal.

Since I don't have the game yet, and have been reading to plot out my Universe, Did you make WWE Raw and WCW Nitro Major shows and Smackdown and Thunder minor shows using their respective rosters and ECW a minor show manually using its own roster?
Almost exactly what I did except ECW is also a major show so I can use the ECW belts. I haven't actually done anything with the universe yet but I'm kinda excited for where it can go. I think once I develop a method for moving people between shows and for tracking the non-recognized belts (Hardcore, Cruiserweight, etc.) I'll be golden. My only problem will be actually going through everything.

Cool, thanks for the info. My plan is to start out with the Monday Night Wars between WCW and WWE with ECW also in the Mix having two shows per brand per week and a PPV per month for WCW and WWE and one every two months for ECW. Eventually, having an "invasion" later down the line with all three brands. But I want to start out with the three seperate.

Nice...I got back into wrestling around that time but figure this can be my "what-if" universe when I want to do the booking. Otherwise, I kinda want to see what develops on its own. My biggest problem in setting things up was figuring out WCW and ECW tag teams/stables. What must-haves are you planning on there? So far, I just have the Dudleys and nWo...I think I made a Raven/Dreamer team and RVD/Sabu team too. WCW is decidedly lacking though...surprising considering I have a lot more WCW people. I know I need to bump a CAW for Stevie Ray already though.

                                Chris Jericho vs Ken Shamrock
Jericho took care of Shamrock pretty handily. Shamrock couldn't amount any offense against the aggressive nature of Jericho, who slapped on the Walls of Jericho after his triple powerbomb signature.

Pizz vs Eddie Guerrero (Ladder Match)
Best match of the night. Guerrero started the match off with a bang. He was all over the rookie wrestler and Pizz couldn't amount any type of offense. Guerrero hit a fisherman suplex on Pizz and while the young guy was trying to recover, Guerrero hopped out of the ring to grab a ladder. Pizz slid out of the ring and hit Guerrero, who dropped the ladder.

While on the floor, Pizz picked up the ring bell and used it on Guerrero, knocking him out in the process. While Guerrero was out, Pizz grabbed the ladder and slid it into the ring. Guerrero stumbled to his feet, slid into the ring and pulled Pizz off of the ladder.

Guerrero then climbed the ladder himself and his opponent met him at the top. They exchanged a few blows until Pizz grabbed Guerrero and powerbombed him off of the ladder. Guerrero was able to collect himself and the two battled again at the top of the ladder, this time Guerrero hitting a suplex off of the ladder.

With both men battered and beaten, they stumbled to their feet. Guerrero went to throw a haymaker at Pizz, who blocked it and hit his finisher. He grabbed the suitcase for the win.

                                Kelly Kelly vs Brie Bella
I didn't really want to play this match, so I grabbed a hammer and Kelly Kelly was DQ'd

Sting vs. Ric Flair vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan
Another good match. The match started with Hogan and Sting teaming up to take on Flair. They pulled off a couple of double team moves before the champion (Hogan) made his move on Sting. Sting got the upperhand, throwing Flair out of the ring. Hogan allowed them to fight on the outside.

Sting hit his finisher through the Nitro announce table on Flair. Hogan came out and tried to take advantage of the situation, but Sting fought the champion off.

Hogan and Sting enter the ring. Hogan hits his leg drop and goes for the cover. Flair breaks it up at two. Flair and Hogan go at it. Sting recovers, throws Hogan out of the ring. Sting hits his finisher on Flair. Hogan gets up and doesn't make an attempt to break up the pin. Sting wins.

nWo (Nash/Hall) vs The Luchadors (Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio): #1 tag team contenders match

Cara/Mysterio are the #1 contenders to the tag titles. Nash and Mysetrio start the match. Immediately, Sin Cara leaves the ring. Nash and Hall destroy Mysterio with Hall hitting a Razor's Edge.
