    Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

    It isn't messed up - that's working as intended. The game continues to set the same match until you play it b/c something is supposed to happen in that match, some little cut scene (even a small, meaningless one like celebrating with an ally), and until that moment in the universe happens - the computer will continue to book it.

    It's silly, and I wish the computer would take a hint, but that seems to be the way the game works. If you don't like a match-up - play it and get it over with. Or, let it run without you controlling either guy and take a bathroom break. Another way to deal with it is to move one of the involved wrestlers to inactive or another brand, or mess with the ratings.

    The real solution, though, to bookings you don't like is to get rid of wrestlers you don't like. Smaller rosters with wrestlers you actually want to see is more fun and less frustrating.

        Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

        Hello and welcome to Monday Night RAW coming to you live from Adelaide, South Australia. Tonight we have Charlie Macgregor taking on Rey Mysterio in a rematch from last week. Then we start off the first round of the WWE Championship tournament for a match against Daniel Bryan at Extreme Rules: The Miz takes on Brock Lesnar. Chris Jericho vs Big Show, Tensai vs Ryback, AND OUR MAIN EVENT FOR THIS EVENING: CM PUNK TAKES ON JOHN LAURINAITIS WITH GUEST REFEREE Charlie Macgregor after Punk challenged Laurinaitis on RAW last week in an Extreme Rules match. Lets get this Underway.

        The Miz def. Brock Lesnar to advance in the WWE Championship tournament.
        It took 3 Skull Crushing Finale's to put away Brock Lesnar and his hopes of a WWE Championship reign in the near future.

        Chris Jericho def. Big Show to advance in the WWE Championship tournament.
        Jericho dominated most of this match, hitting 2 Codebreakers, then targeting the legs of The Big Show. After a while Jericho locked in the walls of Jericho, which took its toll on The World's Largest Athlete's legs, Big Show got to the ropes, forcing the break. Big Show made a comeback, hitting a chokeslam, with Jericho kicking out at 2 and a half. Jericho then hit a 3rd Codebreaker and picking up the win over Big Show.

        Tensai def. Ryback to advance in the WWE Championship Tournament.
        This match was short. With Tensai hitting the "Green Mist" finisher twice and then pinning Ryback.

        Rey Mysterio def. Charlie Macgregor.
        Macgregor started the match with a jumpstart, bombarding Mysterio with a series of punches and kicks, until one stray punch hit the referee. With the referee down Randy Orton came to the ring and gave Macgregor an RKO, then with Mysterio going for the pin, Randy woke the ref up, and Mysterio got the 3 count.

        Before Macgregor donned the black and white, he grabbed a microphone and stated that he had no idea why Randy targeted him but he didn't like it. Charlie Macgregor challenges Randy Orton to a falls Count Anywhere match at WWE Backlash this Sunday on PPV. But Randy does not come out. Instead the titantron spurs to life, with Randy backstage, Randy states that he didn't target him for a particular reason, and he accepts the Challenge!

        John Laurinaitis def. CM Punk to advance in the WWE Championship tournament.
        This match had a lot of hype, after last week CM Punk challenged John Laurinaitis to a match this week on RAW, with Charlie Macgregor being the special guest referee, in his hometown of Adelaide, South Australia. The match started off with Laurinaitis running at Punk and hitting a Lou Thesz press. The match went to the outside, with Laurinaitis hitting Punk with a replica WHC belt. After 5 minutes of going at it outside the ring, Laurinaitis entered the ring, with Punk following. As soon as Punk got in the ring Macgregor whips him around and hits him with a Codebreaker. Punk has been layed out as Laurinaitis covers him. Macgregor gives a fast count as Laurinaitis Wins.After the match Natalya comes out and links her arm in Laurinaitis' as they walk backstage together. Macgregor is standing over a fallen CM Punk as RAW goes off the air.

          Week 3, May 2012

          As we approach Capitol Punishment, all the WWE superstars are jockeying for position, and new Head Booker woody2goody has just dropped a bombshell on the WWE Universe - the successful NXT developmental promotion will be expanded and elevated to the main roster, and all NXT superstars will have the chance to compete for the main titles in WWE.

          Starting the week off with Monday Night Raw, and here are the results:

          CM Punk def. R-Truth by pinfall after a GTS.

          Brock Lesnar def. Kane by pinfall after an F5.

          Drew McIntyre and Tensai def. Ryback and WWE Champion The Rock when McIntyre pinned The Rock after a Future Shock DDT.

          Chris Jericho def. Dean Ambrose by pinfall with a Codebreaker.

          Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett def. John Cena and World Heavyweight Champion Edge by pinfall.

          *McIntyre is set to face The Rock for the WWE Championship, but former champions CM Punk and John Cena may yet be added to the equation. However Ziggler pinning Cena in Tag Team action adds another scenario to the situation.

          Tensai needs a challenger for his IC title, and Ryback could well be the man. Seeing a revitalised Tensai taking on Ryback is a great prospect.

          The Tag Title picture is now densely populated. Tag Champs Kofi Kingston and R-Truth have to watch their backs, as the newly re-signed Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas look to challenge them on the next edition of SmackDown!

          The first show of the newly re-branded NXT sees a smaller, more intimate arena and the hottest rising stars in WWE battling for supremacy.

          In the opening contest, we saw the deranged, diabolical South African Leo Kruger in action, and he made short work of Aiden English with a Snapmare Driver he calls 'Kruger's End'.

          In the second contest, NXT veterans Percy Watson and Yoshi Tatsu teamed up to face the odd couple of Johnny Curtis and the big Bulgarian Alexander Rusev.

          Tatsu, who recently picked up a big win over Alberto Del Rio, started very strongly, but it was the imposing Rusev who picked up the win following a DDT which left Tatsu laid out in the middle of the ring.

          More to come as NXT continues very soon...

            Episode 3 of TNA Impact in my WWE Universe. My favorite brand at the moment, with possibly the best 5-part episode so far.

              Does anyone have any advice on how to keep the CPU from taking tag teams and keep placing them in one on one matches in Universe mode? The best is that I am also seeing my tag teams with different partners in tag matches in Universe instead of with their tag team partners. Some of this stuff is annoying having to fix each and every time.

                its going alright but im hating seeing and having to play same matches over and over its either ryback vs great khali, or justin gabreil, or big show, or ted jr and funny thing is i put ryback on raw before starting my universe and only shows he appears on is superstars or smackdown. and far as punk its same matches as well cena,mysterio,kane... etc and if u try change matches it dosent stay a title match. and the rankings are insane i've played threw 1 universe season already and rybacks only ranked 14th and he hasent lost a match yet and hes beaten higher ranked guys i heard u can change there ranking but how u do that?

                  I think it's pressing X (or square on PS3) at the rankings screen depending on the title you want to change the contenders for.

                  I think it may have something to do with allies and rivals, I'm not exactly sure.

                    Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

                    My first PPV in Universe mode has come around, Extreme Rules 2013.

                    Rules were meant to be broken.

                    Here's the card:

                    U.S. Championship - Tables Match
                    Antonio Cesaro (c) def. Booker T to retain

                    This match came to be after Booker T beat Kassius Ohno and moved onto a #1 contender's fatal four-way match, which he won and defeated R-Truth, Christian, and Wade Barrett. Title contenders Mankind and Booker T lost to champions Cesaro and Kofi Kingston on an episode of Main Event, though on the go-home Smackdown, Booker T bloodied the champ and pinned him in a non-title contest, finishing him with a Scissor Kick.

                    In the title match, Cesaro climbed to the top turnbuckle and an elbow drop sent Booker T through a table to keep the gold.

                    WWE Tag Team Championship - Tornado Tag TLC Match
                    World's Greatest Tag Team (Haas & Benjamin) def. Team Hell No (c) to win the titles

                    Team Hell No's #1 contenders had to win an 8-team tournament to earn a shot at the champions. Along the way they eliminated International Airstrike (Kidd & Gabriel), The Prime Time Players, and finally, the Colons. The teams have not met to this point and were pitted to face off in a TLC match that was sure to entertain.

                    And it did. We saw these two teams battle it out, using anything and everything at their disposal to destroy one another. In the climax of the bout, Charlie Haas suplexed the Big Red Monster off a ladder onto a table on the outside; plus there was both a Chokeslam from Kane and a Rock Bottom-type move hit by Shelton Benjamin off of a ladder down to the mat. By the end, World's Greatest Tag Team snagged the gold.

                    It would seem Team Hell No may be going their separate ways after losing the titles, but that remains to be seen.

                    IC Championship - Extreme Rules Match
                    Mankind def. Kofi Kingston (c) to win the title

                    Mankind is back. On his quest to get a singles gold around his waist, he beat the Miz, and then RVD, Bobby Roode, and the Shield's Dean Ambrose in a fatal four-way which determined a #1 contender. Kofi had the upper hand when he and fellow champ Antonio Cesaro defeated contenders Booker T and Mankind. But as we all know, Mankind's specialty is these hardcore kind of matches.

                    This match was a brutal one, as expected. Kofi got to show off his high-flying style but in the end fell to the Hardcore Icon. A new champion was crowned as a bloodied Kofi was victim to a Mandible Claw that put him down for the 3 count.

                    Grudge Match - Hell in A Cell
                    Chris Jericho def. HHH

                    The feud began between the Game and Y2J during a first round match of the WWE Championship #1 contender's tourney. Jericho was fighting against Brock Lesnar when the Game made his return. He made his way into the ring and it seemed he was going after rival Lesnar, but instead the two attacked Jericho. That made it easy pickings for Brock, who went onto pin the beaten-down Jericho. Having lost his chance at the title, Jericho made sure there would be hell to pay for The King of Kings. He challenged Triple H to several matches on the road to the PPV, most of which taking place on Main Event. There were different stipulations - a submission match, Extreme Rules, and even "Pick Your Poison", where Jericho selected Tensai to face The Game, who picked "The Rabid Wolverine" Chris Benoit to fight Jericho. Both men shared wins and losses, but their feud was to be settled at the pay-per-view, in the structure named Hell in A Cell.

                    This match didn't involve much of the cell, to the surprise of some. Moreover it was focused on just working each other over and using their technical ability. It got good when Jericho pulled off a Codebreaker early on, then later a bloodied Y2J locked in the Walls of Jericho, which Triple H did not tap to. Jericho finished off the worn-down HHH with a dropkick for the 1..2..3.

                    I have a feeling this one isn't over. HHH likely won't be satisfied until he has beaten the man who proclaims himself to be "The Best In The World" at "everything {I} do".

                    World Heavyweight Championship - Triple Threat Steel Cage Match
                    Randy Orton def. The Undertaker and Big Show (c)

                    A reinvigorated Orton returned to action as not the Viper, but The Legend Killer. He claimed that while Big Show is a legend of the business, it was time for him to shine in the next Age of Orton. He wasn't too fortunate in the World Title #1 contender's tournament, losing in the first round to Kurt Angle. All matches were 2 out of 3 Falls, and while Orton fell short, another legend stepped up to the challenge. Another match in the first round saw returning Undertaker easily take down Hulk Hogan, who had also made a comeback to the WWE. He moved on to the second and final round along with Alberto Del Rio, Bret Hart, Angle, Mark Henry, and Eddie Guerrero. Those winners fought in an Elimination Chamber to earn the right to face Big Show, and The Deadman came out on top in a great matchup.

                    Before that though, the losers in the first round were granted a possible future title shot since they've all been established as main guys on the roster, whether it be in the past or current time - those men being Orton, The Rock, Edge, Sheamus, Hogan, and J.B.L., also making his return, from the broadcast table to the ring. Orton got the win after the others were all eliminated from this battle royal-type bout. Since it was such a good battle, the Smackdown GM allowed Orton to enter the Taker vs Big Show match, making it a triple threat. He added one final stipulation, putting the three men inside a hellacious steel cage where only escape rewarded victory.

                    The cage didn't play a huge factor, but this was still a good fight put on by the three competitors. They brawled all over the ring, set up double teams (as expected in a triple threat), and more than once tried to make their escape. In the end, the Legend Killer found his way up the steel structure, and did it at the perfect time - as Big Show chokeslammed Undertaker, he scurried up and out, regaining the prized World Heavyweight championship.

                    Even though he lost, Big Show still has a rematch clause since he was the champion, and it would seem a rematch is in order, since technically he didn't get pinned to lose his title, nor was it a one-on-one match. And there's also a case to be made that maybe Orton shouldn't have been in the match in the first place. The Legend Killer once again reigns supreme, but there's a large target on his back set forth by the giant named the Big Show.

                    Gauntlet Match
                    The Shield def. Ryback

                    The Shield made Ryback pay for his injustices earlier, but he claimed that he wasn't done with them yet. And so The Shield made a preemptive strike on Ryback, sending Roman Reigns to attack him during a WWE title #1 contender's tourney match against HHH, allowing The Game to pick up the pinfall. The Ryback was pissed, and he wanted not just Reigns, but all of them. With Dean Ambrose out of IC title contention, The Shield's focus was set on preparing for Ryback. They would come at him one by one rather than all at once - in a gauntlet match fashion.

                    Ryback was game for his opponents, first beating down Seth Rollins and laying him out with Shell Shock. He was down but Roman Reigns once again brought the pain down on Ryback. Reigns gave the big man all he could handle, and pinned him on his own.

                    The Shield was victorious this time, but the war likely will continue. And I have a feeling Ryback will bring more firepower next time out.

                    WWE Championship - Ironman Match
                    CM Punk (c) fought Stone Cold Steve Austin to a draw

                    It's a match everyone wanted to see. It came to life after Stone Cold beat ROH import Kevin Steen, then won a second round ladder match over Triple H, John Cena, Goldberg, TNA import Austin Aries, and Brock Lesnar.

                    A Wrestlemania atmosphere was in the air when the Second-City Saint, the Straight-Edge Superstar, and the year-long reigning WWE Champion C.M. Punk would meet his match - the beer-drinking, ***-kicking, rule-breaking antihero known as Stone Cold. Except it was at Extreme Rules, the main event which would be given a 30-minute time limit in which the man with the most falls (pins or submissions) would win the WWE Championship.

                    It was a treat for the fans, seeing arguably the best of two generations of wrestling battle it out for a good half-hour of action. The champ and challenger brutalized each other with anything they could find, doing anything they could to keep the other down for a 3 count. It wasn't long before both men were busted open, with Punk taking a 3-2 lead via a Go To Sleep - a minute to go. It was then that Stone Cold pulled out the unthinkable, a desperation manuever - stealing the Anaconda Vice right out of C.M. Punk's playbook and using it on him to try and make him tap. The last 20 seconds or so of the match ticked down as Punk remained locked in the hold, not willing to give in. He couldn't go any longer and gave in, tapping out just in time to make the score a 3-3 tie. That would be the last fall, however, as time quickly expired. A draw meant that Punk retained the championship.

                    The WWE Championship remains in C.M. Punk and Paul Heyman's grasp, but since Austin didn't lose, he is certainly still considered first in line to fight the champ next. Who else is going after the top star in the WWE is up in the air, but the idea of a second match between Punk and Austin is certainly an interesting thought.

                    Hope you enjoyed Extreme Rules 2013. We'll see you next time for Over The Limit (2013).
                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
                    Let me know what you guys thought about my summary here. I enjoyed watching these matches and writing this stuff for anyone who feels like reading.
                    I'm unsure where to go next to get to Over the Limit, but I'm liking Universe a lot so far.
Some of this stuff is annoying having to fix each and every time.
                      Something worth trying, when you finish your next PPV, before you hit advance, go and make any changes to the rankings, rivals,allies, movesets, rosters, etc that you will want for the next month. Once you advance to the next month don't edit anything. It may just be a coincidence, but I did this and my next show I got cutscenes in 4 of 5 matches, I have an actual storyline going with two actual tagteams, and i didnt get any random tag matches. Before that I was always editing things and my PPVs always ended up being a complete mess, the last 2 months the World title didnt even get defended at the PPV
                          Sorry I haven't had any updates for awhile. Holidays and all. Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
                          SEPTEMBER | Week 1
                          Dolph Ziggler def. Mr. ***
                          This match was spawned from the New Age Outlaws v. Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger match from a few weeks back where Mr. *** was DQ'd for hitting Swagger with a chair. Ziggler came away with the victory, after finishing off Billy Gunn with a signature move very reminiscent of the Fame-Asser. Billy Gunn was none too happy after the match.
                          David Otunga and JBL def. Faarooq and Ryback
                          The feud between Otunga and Ryback also caused the breakup of the APA, as Bradshaw decided to leave Faarooq and go his own way, and align himself with Mr. Money In The Bank David Otunga. While these men were in individual matches at Summerslam, the rivalry continued in this tag match won by Otunga and Bradshaw.
                          Unhappy with The Rock retaining at Summerslam, Paul Heyman arrived to the ring to voice his opinion that Lesnar and Punk being forced to compete against each other in the Fatal 4 Way match was unfair. He also announced a series of matches later in the evening, where each member of Team Heyman would be in matches to restore their championship ranking. The Rock interrupted Heyman, coming down to the ring and laying him out with a Rock Bottom before taking his belt and walking off.
                          CM Punk def. John Cena
                          In the first match of the night set up by Paul Heyman, CM Punk would defeat John Cena.
                          Brock Lesnar def. Chris Jericho
                          Brock Lesnar defeated Chris Jericho after reversing a Codebreaker and laying Y2J out with a powerbomb. As Lesnar celebrated in the ring, Kane arrived on the stage, staring Lesnar down.
                            SEPTEMBER | Week 1
                            Shane McMahon came to the ring to celebrate his successful United States Championship defense against Cody Rhodes at Summerslam. The party was cut short, however, as Dolph Ziggler showed up from Raw, attacking McMahon, laying the champ out with a Zig Zag.
                            Team Laurinaitis def. Team Hell No
                            In a match for Tag Team Championship rankings, Team Laurinaitis defeated Team Hell No in tag action.
                            WWE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP
                            Championship Scramble
                            The Miz (C) def. Wade Barrett, Eddie Guerrero, Sin Cara, and Rikishi
                            The Miz' Intercontinental Championship was on the line in a Championship Scramble match. The Miz was in control for most of the match, but with just under a minute remaining, Wade Barrett scored a pinfallto become the champion. The Miz fought back, pinning Sin Cara with only a few seconds remaining. The clock would expire, and The Miz would retain the Intercontinental Championship.
                            Edge def. Cody Rhodes
                            Bret Hart def. Stone Cold Steve Austin
                            This rivalry was renewed, and another one born. With the referee knocked out of the match, JBL ran to the ring and laid out Stone Cold with a Clothesline From Hell, allowing Bret Hart to get the pin and the win. Has JBL targeted the World Heavyweight Champion?
                              SEPTEMBER | Week 2
                              Dolph Ziggler def. Road Dogg
                              Continuing this small rivalry with the New Age Outlaws, Dolph Ziggler picked up a 2nd straight victory over the tag team champions, this time against Road Dogg.
                              Team Laurinaitis def. Too Cool
                              In another match for tag team championship rankings, Team Laurinaitis continued their hot streak, defeating Too Cool.
                              Paul Heyman came to the ring for the 2nd week in a row to discuss the influence of Team Heyman on Monday Night Raw, and to gloat about the team's 2 victories last week. The Rock had enough, once again coming to the ring to confront Heyman. Instead of a Rock Bottom, Chris Jericho joined the action, coming to the ring giving a Codebreaker first to Paul Heyman, and then a second one to the WWE Champion, leaving both men laying in the ring as he walked off.
                              CM Punk def. John Cena
                              For the 2nd week in a row, CM Punk defeated John Cena. This time, Punk attacked Cena from behind as he made his way to the ring. During the match, Punk decided to walk out, threatening to get counted out. But at the last second, he returned to the ring, using the mind games to get an upper hand over Cena. Punk would finish the match with a GTS, picking up his 2nd consecutive victory over John Cena.
                              Brock Lesnar def. Kane
                              The Rock came to the commentary table to watch this match, but would not find himself involved. He'd leave ringside after Lesnar suplexed Kane through the announce table. Lesnar never lost the upper hand, dominating an otherwise resilient Kane, picking up the victory.
                                SEPTEMBER | Week 2
                                This week's Smackdown sees a shift in format, returning to a classic stage and set design that first launched the Smackdown brand! To celebrate this new change, Shane McMahon decided what better way than to have a title match! A United States Championship match, defended in a TLC match!
                                WWE UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP
                                TLC Match
                                Dolph Ziggler def. Shane McMahon (C)
                                A new champion was crowned after Shane McMahon defended his United States Championship against the man who attacked him and called him out last week. The brutal match saw both men flying off ladders and going through tables, but in the end, it was Ziggler who grabbed the belt hanging above the ring, bringing the United States Championship back to Raw.
                                The Miz def. Rey Mysterio
                                Rey Mysterio looked strong throughout the match, but Miz regained momentum after a DDT on Mysterio through the announce table. Back in the ring, Miz finished the match off with a Skull Crushing Finale.
                                D-Generation X def. Team Laurinaitus
                                Team Laurinaitis' hot streak came to an end against D-Generation X, as Triple H finished off Big Show with a Pedigree for the victory.
                                Inferno Match
                                Undertaker v. Bret Hart
                                Undertaker came out and challenged anyone in the locker room to an Inferno Match. Bret Hart answered the challenge. Unfortunately for the Hitman, it wasn't his night, and he'd be lit on fire following a Tombstone Piledriver.
                                WWE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
                                Stone Cold (C) def. JBL
                                Austin put his title on the line against John Bradshaw Layfield who he's had issues with starting last week. Austin won the match, but afterwards, Otunga would cash in his Money In The Bank contract, pinning Austin to become the new World Heavyweight Champion!
