That's where your imagination comes in. Austin/McMahon for example, each week he'd try to get him to conform. It'd fail so often, and they had how many Ppv matches?

You just have to, for lack of a better word, make up a story. Involve other people if you want. (Heyman, Vinny Mac,) put another belt in there somehow, etc.

The weekly shows (in my case Raw/Smackdown) are almost starting to ruin the universe for me. I've got a few feuds going which I'm looking forward to playing out at the next PPV but each week on the shows the Universe is putting my rivals in one-on-ones against each other.

Example: I'm aiming for The Rock v JBL at TLC and each of the 3 Raws has been Rock v JBL... it's a bit of an overkill and I wish they would mix it up. It's been the same for my other feuds I have going as well.

I had Y2J, Eddie and Brodus in a triple threat match. Brodus came out and sat at the announce table. Jericho climbed out of the ring toward the table and out of nowhere Eddie does a flying seated senton over the top rope, misses Y2J but destroyed the announce table. I laughed so hard. They brawled for about 5 minutes outside the ring before all 3 made it in and it became a triple threat match. Pretty awesome.

The key to a successful universe in in the allies and rivals you set up for each superstar. Time consuming for sure but totally worth the work.

Have all your main event players rival each other. Do the same for your mid card and tag team division.

Want to move someone up to main event status? Change their rivals. Want to avoid Cena versus Yoshi Tatsu? emove Cena from your minor title rankings.

These ae the keys to a fluid universe IMO...best of luck!

I just had something interesting happen on Raw. Rey and Swagger have a minor rivalry and were matched up this Monday [ first week of December, year 1}. Ziggler was in Swagger's corner.

There was a mid match cut scene in which Ziggler caught Swagger's attenton from the floor. This distracted him and allowed Rey to get the upper hand. Swagger recovered and hit the power bomb finisher for the victory.

after the match Ziggler entered the ring with a chair and handed it to Swagger. before he could use it R-truth hit the ring for the save. The scene ends with Truth's music.

for those of you worried about storyline these four have been in and out of each others stories all year culminating in this. Sit tight, it gets good!

My Capitol Punishment card is shaping up - guys, let me know if you have any suggestions.

Intercontinental Championship: Tensai (c) vs winner of battle royal on Raw (Ryback, Swagger, Jericho, Otunga, Billy Gunn, Brodus Clay)

WWE Tag Team Championship: Kofi Kingston and R-Truth (c) vs. Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin

United States Championship: Booker T (c) vs. The Miz

WWE Championship: The Rock (c) vs Drew McIntyre vs CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar

World Heavyweight Championship: Edge (c) vs Christian

I was thinking of Kane vs Dolph Ziggler and possibly Randy Orton vs Sheamus as the other two, however I would love to involve Sandow and Cesaro somehow.

Rhodes attacked Christian after the latter won the Number One Contendership, so maybe Sandow can interfere in the main event, get Edge disqualified and then maybe we could have a month of E&C vs Rhodes Scholars with a Fatal 4-Way for the World Heavyweight Championship at the next PPV.

              What does everyone think?

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

just had some crazy things happen in my universe..... in my last 3 ppv's im up threw hell in cell now.... the first ppv had a championship scramble that had punk as a cmp player and for some reason he just stayed outside most match which in the end cost him the match and cena winning the WWE Title.

next night on raw it was a triple threat between cena, punk, ryback in which ended in a crazy finish as punk introduced a chair into the match but the tides turn as ryback grabbed the chair knocking punk down with a wicked chair shot... cena charged at ryback from behind only to be met with another wicked shot with chair on cena stopping the champ dead in his tracks and busting him wide open resulting in ryback hitting the shell shock and picking up the victory.

the next ppv was yet another championship scramble with ryback vs cena vs punk vs lesnar vs kane this turned into a bloody match as all were busted open and came right down to last secs punk regained the WWE title but cena almost regain it but was 3 secs to late as he hit the FU on punk with 3 secs left in match but only got to count of 2 as time expired.

now up to hell in cell it was a double header featuring punk and ryback for the US belt..... and a triple threat for the WWE title between ryback, punk, cena. the us title ended as punk got busted open as the match went outside ryback threw punk back into the ring hitting the shell shock picking up the victory.

now its time for the WWE title in the cell again another brutal match resulting in ryback and cena being busted open and bleeding bad the ending came as ryback hit the shell shock on cena thinking he had the WWE title in his hands punk out of no where jumped off the turnbuckle hitting the neck breaker then picks cena up with ryback rolling around hitting the GTS and retaining his title. should be interesting see how far this triple threat action goes with both cena and ryback looking for revenge on punk.

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

Hey guys. Reading through here inspired me to share a bit of my Universe, which I just restarted. I'm doing a mix of cpu and my own booking, and creating my own storylines. Here's my first PPV, Extreme Rules, and the stories behind the matches.

Match 1: United States Championship 4 Way Elimination Match: Antonio Cesaro (c) vs Zack Ryder vs David Otunnga vs Santino Marella. Ryder, Otunga and Santino were the top dogs in the US Championship rankings, and in the weeks leading up to Extreme Rules, they competed in a variety of triple threat and singles matches against one another. They all traded wins, with nobody ever really pulling away from the others, so I decided to book this four way. The match was solid, with everyone getting in a fair share of offense. Cesaro was the star of the match. He scored the first elimination of the match when he hit the Neutralizer (kind of, actually it's more of a Dominator, but whatever) on Santino. Cesaro and Otunga then teamed up to beat on Ryder. He had a few hope spots, but ultimately fell to Otunga's spinebuster finisher and was eliminated. With the match down to just Cesaro and Otunga, Cesaro made short work of his final challenger, finishing him off with the Neutralizer to retain the title.
                    Match Rating: **1/2

Match Two: Intercontinental Championship: The Miz(c) vs MVP
On the first Smackdown of the month, MVP teamed with Christian against the Primetime Players in a losing effort. After the match Christian and MVP had a falling out. The following week, MVP would win a triple threat match against Christian and Miz. On the next week, MVP would defeat Christian in a number 1 contender's match, leading us here. The match was very back and forth, with nobody really getting a real advantage. MVP took control momentarily and hit the Playmaker, but The Miz was able to kick out. Not too long after however, a second Playmaker put an end to Miz's reign, and MVP was the new IC Champ.
                    Match Rating: **1/2

Match 3: Alberto Del Rip vs The Big Show
On the first Smackdown of the month, the Big Show lost a World Championship number one contender match to Randy Orton. However, in the following weeks, he would Pin the champion Sheamus in a tag match, as well as a singles match (thanks to interference from Randy Orton). Because of this, he felt he should be next in line for a title match. Alberto Del Rio disagreed, believing that spot belonged to him. On the final Smackdown before Extreme Rules, the two faced off, with Big Show gaining the victory. This was a rematch. This match was really good. It started out all Big Show, aside from a few short stretches of offense for Del Rio. He managed to lock on the cross armbreaker twice, but Show easily reached the ropes both times. In the second half of the match, Del Rio took control, working both the arms and legs of Show. Show was limping badly and seemed to be in deep trouble, when suddenly be brought the match to a halt, catching a Del Rio kick attempt and drilling the WMD for the win. Whoever would leave Extreme Rules as World Champ has a rough challenge ahead of them.
                    Match Rating ***1/4

Match 4: WWE Tag Team Championships Tables Match: Team Hell No (c) vs AJ Styles and Samoa Joe
After Team Hell No successfully defended their titles against the New Age Outlaws, the wrestling world was shocked when Samoa Joe and AJ Styles ambushed and assaulted them. The former TNA stars claimed they were sick of being overshadowed by the stars of WWE and arrived here to right that wrong, starting with Hell No. Hell No didn't back down, and a tables match for the titles was immediately made. On the final RAW before Extreme Rules, Styles and Joe gained huge momentum when AJ Styles not only beat Daniel Bryan, but decimated him, leaving him a bloody mess. This was the match of the night. So many near table spots. Bryan, Joe and Styles all went through tables by their own hands. Kane was busted open somehow, despite his mask. In the end, Styles laid out Bryan with a Style's Clash, allowing Joe to grab Kane from behind, and execute a Russian leg sweep through a table for the win, and new Tag Champs were crowned.
                    Match Rating: ****1/2

Match 5: World Heavyweight Championship Last Man Standing Match: Sheamus (c) vs Randy Orton:
This match was set up when Randy Orton defeated The Big Show in a number 1 contender's match. In the weeks leading up to the match, Sheamus and Orton were at each other's throats, costing each other matches against Big Show and Wade Barrett respecitvely. On the final Smackdown before Extreme Rules, Sheamus gained a but of momentum, pinning Orton in a tag match. However, it was Orton who had the last laugh. Seemingly resorting to his old ways, Orton attacked Sheamus to end the show. The last match was match of the night, and this was the disappointment of the night. I thought I set the match to epic, but I must have set it to quick, because after literally about two minutes of back and forth action, Sheamus hit the Celtic Cross on Orton, and that was all she wrote. Sheamus retains the title.
                    Match Rating: 1/2*

Match 6: Ryback vs Primo and Epico: In the weeks leading up to Extreme Rules, Ryback defeated both Primo and Epico in singles competition. Although, with the tag partners in each other's corners, it was more like a handicap amtch. So, Ryback figured it would save time taking them both out at once. Despite the disadvantage, this one was all Ryback. Despite the one sidedness, this was fun to watch. The end so Ryback boot Primo off the apron, the hit a big Meat Hook clothesline on Epico to end things.
                    Match Rating: **1/4

Main Event: WWE Championship Extreme Rules Match: CM Punk (c) vs John Cena
On the first RAW of the month, John Cena defeated Chris Jericho in a number 1 contender's match. In the coming weeks, Cena and Punk would do battle in a variety of ways, but Jericho, seemingly not able to let go of his loss to Cena, continuily stuck his nose in their business. Would the two find out who the better man is, or would Jericho make his presence known once more? This was another very good match. A steel chair, a kendo stick a crutch, the steel steps and the WWE Title belt were all used as weapons. Cena DDTd Punk through the announce table. In return, Punk speared Cena through the barricade. By matches end, despite being an absolutle bloody mess, Cena seemed to be in control, when Jericho reared his ugly head, nailing the Codebreaker, allowing Punk to pick up the scraps and retaining the WWE Title.
                    Match Rating: ****

Next month we have King of the Ring. I'll be setting up my own brackets for an interbrand KOTR tournament, with the finals taking place at the PPV, in which the winner will receive a main event title match for their respective brands championship at the following month's PPV, Judgment Day.

BTW, I apologize for the length.

I've been following this thread for a while now. I just finally started my universe now that all of the DLC was released. I currently have my shows as Raw, ECW, Smackdown & Nitro. Each PPV has 2 of the 4 shows represented on it and they were chosen at random. My question is how do all of you go about doing your universe? Do you have CPU vs CPU or do you sim matches that have the "interfere" option available or what exactly do you do in your universe. I'm looking for a quick/fun way to go through the universe without missing out on some of the fun things that go on during it. Any ideas/advice would be great! Thanks in advance!
