Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

On tap for my first RAW after Extreme Rules:

Mr. Anderson loses against Zack Ryder in his RAW return.
3MB (McIntyre/Mahal) defeats International Airstrike in the first round of the WWE Tag Title tourney.
Matt Hardy beats Hunico in Hardy's RAW return.
10-man battle royal for an opportunity at the IC title: Kofi defeated A-Ry, Roode, Bully Ray, Tensai, Bourne, Swagger, Storm, Miz, and Flair to advance to face the winner of a second battle royal.
Steen defeated John Cena (w/ special guest ref Dolph Ziggler) in the first round of the WWE Title tourney.

For his actions as special guest referee, costing rival John Cena his match (and title shot) the RAW GM has plans for Dolph this coming week. Perhaps karma will come back on the Show-Off.

    That's all for Raw.

      RAW REPORT

Match 1 - Primo and Epico defeated Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara
Match 2 - Tensai defeated Jey Uso
Match 3 - Chris Jericho defeats Ryback

Ryback seemed to have everything in control until the referee was knocked out. Antonio Cesaro came down to Jericho's aid and hit Ryback with a neutralizer to give Jericho the win.

Match 4 - Wade Barrett defeated Kofi Kingston
      Match 5 - No Contest

The main event was scheduled to be between Dolph Ziggler and Daniel bryan but the match never got started as CM Punk attacked ziggler from behind while making his entrance. This is sure to keep the rivalry lit and Mr McMahon upset

      NXT REPORT

Match 1 - The Usos vs Primo and Epico

After a rough couple weeks in singles competition, The Usos continue to roll in the tag division picking up a big win over Epico and Primo.

Match 2 - El Generico (debut) vs Hunico

We have a debut here on NXT that saw an impressive performance turned in by El Generico. Generico was everything he was billed to be as he picked up his first win the WWE after an insane brainbuster.

Match 3 - Sin Cara defeated Justin Gabriel
Match 4 - Kofi Kingston defeated Cody Rhodes
Match 5 - Alberto Del Rio vs Tensai

In a match with potential WWE Title implications, Alberto Del Rio was able pull out an impressive win over Tensai.

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

        Main Event

HHH beat Jericho, Sledgehammer Submission 2/3 Falls Match: Triple H rechallenged Chris Jericho after losing to him at Extreme Rules. He upped the ante so Y2J would accept by giving him a match that would favor "The Man of 1,004 Holds" - 2/3 falls, submissions only. Since The Game isn't known for his technical ability, he added in a stipulation of his own, all sledgehammers under the ring. The two men destroyed one another, each wearing a crimson mask in the process. To most fans' surprise, HHH pulled out the win via a Camel Clutch to pick up the decisive fall. The score is 1-1 in this rivalry and it would seem this isn't over, by a long shot.

Big E Langston (w/AJ Lee) knocked out Kevin Nash after multiple Big Endings.

US Title #1C 10-man Battle Royal - Drew McIntyre defeated Booker T, Haas, Rhodes, Slater, Ohno, Henry, Shelton, DiBiase, Kidd to move on and face the other battle royal winner for an opportunity at the U.S. Title.

MITB Match - Dolph Ziggler beat Kane, ADR, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, and Edge to retain his MITB briefcase.

Ryback defeated Seth Rollins in 2/3 Falls to advance on to the second round of the WWE Title tourney: Even with Dean Ambrose at ringside, Ryback was able to get some revenge against the Shield by pinning Seth Rollins twice. Their battle probably continues, but for now, Ryback moves closer to the WWE Championship.

It's tough to swallow i am sure with all you can do in this game to be limited at all. I suggest being happy with what you have and book that triple threat tables match for a Raw main event :-)
No I discovered the problem. Apparantley there is an issue with the game where it doesn't let you edit matches if a show is taking place in a custom arena. Once I switched arenas to one already on the game it worked fine and allowed me to edit as I please.

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

ONCE AGAIN ive started my universe again, its been a while since i played but this new universe seems pretty good. Ive simulated ahead one year so i can do the draft first and kept the roster. Then so no feuds started I changed the cheduel and roster how I wanted it to be so I can have a fresh start on the draft.

Scheduel- Monday night Raw is War
              Tuesday night Heat
              Wednesday night Velocity
              Thursday night Smackdown!

Champions- WWF champion (Raw) Triple H
Hardcore Champ (Raw) Big Boss Man
Tag Champs (Raw &Smackdown) Bulldog and Bret Hart
              Womens (both) Trish

World Heavyweight Champ (SD) The Rock
Eurocontenental (european & IC, SD) Kurt Angle

Match 1- Eddie Guerrero (S) Def. Billy Gunn (R)
                X-PAC DRAFTED TO SMACKDOWN! (interesting)

                Match 2- Road Dogg(R) def Rey Mysterio(S)
                Bradshaw drafted to Raw

Match 3-Val Venis Def. Shane McMahon

                Match 4- British Bulldog(R) Def. Booker T(S)
THE UNDERTAKER DRAFTED TO RAW! (interesting)

Main Event- Triple H(R) def The Rock(S)
This match deserved to be in the main event, both men put up a show with close falls, comebacks series of finishers and signatures. The highlights of the match was when The Rock ROCKBOTTOMED triple H through a table, but it wasnt enough to keep the WWF Champ down and trips came back, hit 2 pedigrees and the match was over. And the draft pick was..................... MAnkind really, undertaker would have been better but cant complain.

                  Match 1- X-Pac Def. Bradshaw(R)
It was a good match, both of these guys were there rosters new roster from mondays raw so they needed to impress and X-Pac was the man to do it, I wanna push him maybe for the eurocontenental title. But wait a minute, RAWS HARDCORE CHAMP BIG BOSS MAN WAS DRAFTED TO SMACKDOWN, what does this mean for Raw.

                  Match 2- Farooq(S) def Bulldog(R)
Farooq and bradshaw are the #1 contenders for The Hart foundations titles so I had to spice things up by giving Farooq the win over Bulldog. Bulldog put up a fight though but just couldnt do it. OMG, This MAN HAS BEEN DRAFTED Twice THIS WEEK. THE UNDERTAKER IS BACK ON THURSDAY NIGHTS!!!!!

Match 3- Godfather Def. Mark Henry
                  (simmed)

                  Match 4- Bret Hart(R) def Eddie Guerrero(S)
One half of the tag team champions made an impressive debut to my universe. Both men put on a show with submissions high flying and close calls, but bret harts training at the hart foundation was enough to make eddie tap out. WOW AGAIN, THE BIG BOSS MAN IS COMING BACK TO RAW. (this is pretty funny to watch guys get traded back and fourth)

Main Event- Rock(S) def. Triple H(R) II
The Rock got Triple H's win over him on monday, held it against the light, shined it a little, TURNED THAT SON OF A B!@#$ SIDEWAYs AND STICKED IT UP TRIPLE H'S CANDY ***. Rock got revenge on Trips tonight on His show, the peoples show... SMACKDOWN. The rock dominated the whole way and didnt even let Trips get his finisher. But the best bit was the draft................ STONE COLD STONE COLD STONE COLD IS COMING TO THURSDAY NIGHTSSS. WE FIGHT ON THURSDAY NIGHTS JOSH, AND AUSTINS GONNA BRING THE FIGHT IN SMACKDOWN GOD I LOVE IT (as JBL would say..... love that guy on commentary)

Re: WWE '13 Universe Mode Thread - How's Your's Going?

                    First Smackdown since Extreme Rules.

Bret Hart vs Antonio Cesaro 2/3 Falls - First round of WHC #1C tourney: Antonio Cesaro was able to overcome the Hitman in a grueling bout and is closer to possibly becoming a multi-champion at No Way Out.

Mark Henry vs Hulk Hogan - First round of WHC #1C tourney: Hulkamania is running wild again. The Hulkster and The World's Strongest Man battled in and out of the ring - the highlight being a bodyslam by Hogan through the announce table. Ultimately, Hogan finished off Mark Henry for his first win since his return, with none other than the Hogan Leg Drop.

Undertaker vs Big Show - It's been rumored there's already a three-way in place for the World Title at Over the Limit, so it would seem this match was just about gaining momentum towards that. Also, a second stipulation was added that the loser will "have their poison picked" next week, similar to Randy Orton's match tonight. This match was back and forth, with Undertaker and Show both dishing out their finishers (Chokeslam/WMD) and the Undertaker was bloodied. Big Show began to dominate but a Tombstone Piledriver put the former World Champ away. Undertaker is coming after the Legend Killer hard, and this was a message sent.

Edge & Christian vs Prime Time Players - First round of WWE Tag Title tourney: E&C's Smackdown reunion was a rather brief one, as they quickly disposed of Darren and Titus. They face either Rhodes Scholars or Team Mucha Lucha next.

Randy Orton vs The Rock - Pick Your Poison: Contenders Undertaker and Big Show watched intently as they saw new champ Randy Orton take on the opponent they chose for him - the Brahma Bull. The Rock accepted the chance to layeth the smacketh down, claiming that if he beat Orton, he should be next in line for a World Title Shot. And so, Orton went one-on-one with the Great One. The Legend Killer lived up to his name, delivering an RKO to beat the Rock and keep his hot streak going. The two shook hands in respect and Smackdown ended with Orton celebrating yet another victory.

So reading all of the threads inspired me to try something different. I prefer the the Raw and Smackdown only usually, no custom superstars, titles etc...

I decided to add ECW to Thursday nights. I downloaded everything and i mean everything. All of my superstars and arenras are from community creations.

When i edit any match it goes to load screen and doesn't proceed. Is this a condition of having everything downloaded?

I remember hearing complaints about issues like these just after release. I thought thee was a patch that fixed it. Was there? If not does anyone know of a work around?

                      Thanks

I'm not much for downloading things but I think it may be caused from using a custom arena and created superstars? Too much customization might cause the freezing. I could be wrong but that's what I get from reading things throughout the release of WWE 13.

Match 1: The Rhodes Scholars (c) def 3MB (Mahal and Slater)
In our opening contest, The Rhodes Scholars defeated 3MB in a non title contest after Cody Rhodes hit the Cross Rhodes on Jinder Mahal

Match 2: Ryback vs Antonio Cesaro (c)
Last week we saw Chris Jericho defeat Ryback with the help of Antonio Cesaro. This week we saw Ryback get back into the ring to try and get revenge on Cesaro, whom he beat 2 weeks prior. In a strange turn of events, Chris Jericho accompanied the United States Champion Cesaro to the ring. Was this a plot to stop Ryback all along? Who's idea was it to join forces?

During the match, Chris Jericho interfered and hit the code breaker on Ryback to give Cesaro the victory.

Match 3: Dolph Ziggler w/ Mr. McMahon vs Christian
One has to wonder about Brock Lesnar whenever Dolph Ziggler or Mr. McMahon is around. We haven't seen Brock since he helped Ziggler defeat CM Punk a few weeks back. In this contest, it didn't seen like Christian had a fair chance to win. Whenever he had a pinfall on Ziggler, Mr. McMahon climbed on the apron and distracted the ref. The match eventually saw Ziggler hit Christian with the Zig Zag to pick up the victory.

Match 4: Wade Barrett def R-Truth
Before the match R-Truth attacked Wade Barrett from behind but that wasn't enough as the Barrett Barrage continues. Wade Barrett was named #1 contender now for CM Punk's WWE title. Let's see if this holds up with Mr. McMahon and his plans for Ziggler

Match 5: Alberto Del Rio vs Daniel Bryan
Our main event saw another pre-match attack as WWE Champion CM Punk ambushed Alberto Del Rio on his way to the ring. This had a big outcome on the match as Daniel Bryan was able to put away Del Rio with a counter to the small package. This alliance however did not seem to last long as after the match CM Punk once again headed to the ring and hit Daniel Bryan from behind with his Championship belt. Our show closes with CM Punk standing tall in the ring, belt held high in hand

Match 1: Seth Rollins (debut) def Hunico

For the second straight week, Hunico had to face a debuting superstar. This week it was Seth Rollins who picked up the victory in his WWE debut. Rollins electrified the crowd on several high flying occasions. The race for the cruiserweight title is improving every week. Primo better be on his top game if he wants to hold on to his belt.

Match 2: Epico and Primo def The Usos

Match 3: El Generico def Heath Slater

For the second straight week El Generico has made an appearance on NXT and for the second straight week, picked up an impressive victory. Generico is bringing much needed excitement to the WWE Cruiserweight division.

Match 4: Chris Jericho def CM Punk

In what some may consider an upset, Chris Jericho made the WWE Champion CM Punk tap out to the Walls of Jericho in a non-title match up. Jericho will definitely get another shot at the champion, and potentially a title shot with this big victory on NXT. After the match, Jericho extended his hand as a sign of respect to Punk but Punk wanted nothing to do with it and rejected Jericho's offering.

Match 5: The New Age Outlaws def 3MB (Jinder Mahal & Drew McIntyre)

Well this is a night sure to be forgotten by all members of the 3MB as they lost everything they were involved in. However, if you are a fan of the WWE and its Attitude Era, this night will not be forgotten as The New Age Outlaws returned for a surprise cameo and certainly looked like they still had it as they picked up the victory to close out the show

I'm going to start a second show comprised almost entirely of tag teams. Because the AI is stupid I'm curious to see how often the game will make tag teams face each other. I'm also going to make most of the ppv's saturday nights main event, I'm tired of the stupid gimmick ppv's.
