Yeah so that was lame. Only positive I took was that Del Rio is no longer a champion. I dont really care about Bryan anymore. They did that, and it was probably by design. If we're to buy everything we've seen then Im not sure why Bryan would still be in the title picture at this point.

What's next? Survivor Series? We may not even get a WWE title match then. Might get Team D-Bry VS The Corporation.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
To save this storyline they at least need to put DB and Big Show together to fight the system.
Add in HBK apologizing to DB, saying he was justified in doing what he did because he was helping his friend. DB is torn between believing Shawn or thinking he is just trying to bait him.
I'd also like to see CM Punk sprinkled in soon.
I wouldn't mind a Punk/Orton title match...Comment

Slow burn, people. This angle is barely two months old. Some of the best and most important angles in wrestling history went on for much, much longer.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
They should keep putting him through hell and the only way he gets a title **** is by winning RR.
I don't think it's that bad. HBK adds a new dynamic while still being neutral.
My only complaint, can someone make Orton wear a damn suit, please?!

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
I agree, though, Bryan had to win one. Rock and Mankind wouldn't have been as interesting if The Rock won every single time and well, that I Quit match helped as well.
I didn't see what happened, but depending on how it played out, maybe Shawn tries to get Bryan another shot. But people are forgetting. Stone Cold Steve Austin didn't have a title match from Breakdown (September 98) all the way to Wrestlemania, but he was still involved with the main storyline. Bryan may be out of the title picture until Royal Rumble (because really, if Cena wins it again, I give up), but doesn't mean he's out of the picture completely.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
I can't believe no one has mentioned the extreme similarities between Stone Cold late 98/early 99 and DB late 2013/early 2014... Its the exact same storyline, with some minor changes. Corporation keeping the fan favorite away from the title for months (including a vacated part) then fan fave "wins" RR and goes on to win title back at WM. Totally where this is going.KB's All-CAW Universe

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
I think my main problem is the storyline has been oversaturated by the amount of pay per views and lack of minor storylines.
At least attitude era main storylines were supplemented by minor stories to let the storyline breathe a little. I feel like now its Corp 2.0 but with less heavy hitters. It'd be different if they actually had a stable with more players getting the spotlight and mic time, but it's steph and trips 24/7.Comment

While SCSA was feuding with McMahon, you had:
Nation/DX. Within this you have Street fights, parodies, and feuds over two titles (IC/European)
You had Undertaker/Kane/Mankind that would eventually leak into SCSA and the McMahon.
Plenty of tag teams to keep that division interesting.
Ken Shamrock snapping on everybody.
Dude Love then being thrown at Austin.
And I'm sure other things I'm forgetting. You had enough stuff going on the be entertained by other things while not having the main feud being forced down your throat.

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
I get that some great storylines have moved slow in the past, but most of us are at least in our mid 20's and we've seen it all by now.
You can't keep asking people to dish out $50 on PPVs and spend 3 hours on a Monday watching your product, when the story isn't progressing at all and everything in between isn't entertaining. Even Punk looked bored of the Heyman angle last night. I think they need to get him involved in the WHC picture with Cena.
I know I sound like a broken record, but I just think you have to let Bryan get one over on HHH and then let the Corporation retaliate and go from there.
If you're going to drag out a story, the filler product has to be good as well.. it's not and that's another reason ratings look bad.
Different strokes.. we all see things differently.Last edited by AUChase; 10-28-2013, 10:20 AM.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
Its like they have accepted that Bryan is mega over and have done everything to get everybody else over/heat on Bryan's back. Randy was a robot so they had him cash in a become hated, Triple H joined in, then they had Big Show join in and for some reason is chanting Bryan's chants and closing shows on top. All the while everyone is telling the viewers point blank that Bryan is not a top face of the company guy. That he doesnt have the look, that he is a pip squeak B player. Then guess what, they prove it with Bryan failing to keep that belt. Now Cena is back, Bryan's star will have to deal with Cena's mega star. I just don't know what they are really trying to do. If this is suppose to last to Mania, I think it will fail miserably. Bryan had his moment when he beat Cena. They could have at least given him a full week with the belt, both times he won it. But nope. Slow burn until April right? April...Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
I also think we're seeing how wrestling is today. For me, someone who absolutely loves wrestling, it's sad to think it'll never be what it once was. Originally I said these things go in cycles, but I don't believe this is the case.
WWE seems, more than ever, I be focused on (social) media attention and money. There's also no competition. Hulk doesn't go Hollywood if there's no competition. Bret doesn't screw Bret if there were no competition.
I feel WWE is content keeping it just good enough to do such things mentioned. We've seen these buildups before and the payoff just piss poor, or worse, no payoff at all.
I go all the way back to 80's and outside of production, can't find anything that's better with wrestling now, maybe with the exception of talent. Maybe. Including commentators, storylines, different divisions, etc.
Wrestling just kind of sucks right now.
I've enjoyed the product more since I lowered expectations.
