I hope your talking about the late 80s early 90s. Because the tag team era of the the early 00's nobody really gave a **** about tag team wrestling unless the teams were falling off ladders, getting hit with chairs and being put though tables. Can anyone actually remember a "good" match with E&C, Hardyz or Dudleys that didn't involve TLC elements?

The Rhodes Scholars or the PTPs (with Abraham Washington) could have been great champions but they were blocked by Hell No. I enjoyed Hell No, but at some point they were beyond the belts and were blocking the way for the titles to be booked properly. Hopefully now that the titles are off the SHIELD (with the SHIELD being in their own feud), you can have a real tag division.
Personally, if I was running it, I'd have the Rhodes' stripped of the belts by HHH. Then have a tag tournament with the 8 teams, with the Real Americans winning it against the Uso's at the PPV. Then have them feud with the Wyatts (who aren't in the tournament). From there, just book it like it means something. In the past, the Tag belts were as important as the WWE title. However, when "two stars slapped together" keep popping up, it devalues the belt. Finally, there has to be feuds between with the other tag teams. If the other tag teams aren't getting proper exposure, they look weak, which devalues the division as a whole. This isn't rocket science but the guys in creative seemingly have no idea what they are doing.Comment

And I can remember when the IC title was almost as relevant as the heavyweight championship title...Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
Please no to another title being stripped. Shenanigans like that is what has people refusing to buy PPVs lately. Cant keep giving people what they want and continuously ripping it from them the next day. People lose any interest in the story.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
Prediction time...
Big E wins the IC title. Axel hasn't done anything with it.
GoldenRhodes win. They just won.
AJ wins. As someone said on monday,Brie can't win 3 in a row.
ADR retains through DQ/countout. Cena is none too happy about it,ADR tries to attack him but gets an AA/STF combo. Sandow cashes-in and wins. Also possible Cena wins,ADR attacks the injured arm and Sandow wins there. Either way I'm predicting Sandow leaves as champ.
Punk wins.
Bryan wins. Here's why. If Orton were to win he wouldn't win clean. There were shenanigans at Summerslam and the ratings dropped. There were shenangians after NoC,ratings dropped and refunds were handed out. There were shenaigans at Battleground, ratings dropped, refunds handed out and poor reviews. Everytime there's been shenanigans things have gone downhill. The only way there won't be is if Bryan wins. Though sure there's the obvious HBK/Big Show turn looming. But they already did the Big Show thing with Cena so can probably cut that out.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
WWE Championship
Hell in a Cell
Special guest referee: Shawn Michaels
Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton
Hell in a Cell
Handicap match
CM Punk vs. Ryback & Paul Heyman
World Heavyweight Championship
Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena
Diva Championship
AJ Lee vs. Brie Bella
Tag Team Championship
Goldust & Cody Rhodes vs. The Shield vs. The Usos
*Pre-show*
Intercontinental Championship
Curtis Axel vs. Big E Langston
Uso's win the tag belts. Rhodes were there just to take the belts off the SHIELD.
AJ retains.
Del Rio retains by DQ or something. They then have a somewhat of a feud and Cena wins at Survivor Series. Del Rio loses the rematch at the following PPV.
Punk wins, but Heyman manages to escape.
Bryan wins.
Poor Ziggler hasn't even gotten on the card yet. Neither has Sandow.Comment

- I also expect the Rhodes to retain since their reign is fresh but wouldn't be surprised if there were some sort of shenanigans or Usos win.
- With them trying to get Brie over as a face she could probably win but I'll say AJ retains.
- A Sandow cash-in would be cool in my opinion, I see it happening. Cena comes back too early and receives a painful cross armbreaker, probably. Maybe Cena just beats him easily or he's making a comeback and Del Rio DQs himself, leaving Sandow open to cash it in.
- Hoping this Punk feud is over at this point, I say he wins and moves on.
- Can't really screw the fans with another non-finish, I'll go Bryan clean win and HBK vs HHH. HBK didn't count Orton, his reffing was not "best for business" and they feud. Either HBK superkicks Orton or Bryan accidentally is my guess.Comment

Re: Hell in a Cell 10/27/13
Finally after the last two filler PPVS, we got a nice really solid card.
I'm really pumped for the triple threat tag match and the main event.
I'm expecting something screwy in the finish, but a well-done kind of screwy this time. I'm not even sure Dbry or Orton walk out with the belt...someone will.Comment
