LMAO @ Bobby Heenan's introduction of Lex Luger at the 93 Rumble. There is just nobody else like him in the business man.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I was just getting in to wrestling during the middle of his IC title reign, but I think his whole gimmick besides being an Elvis impersonator was that he basically had no business being a champ but he somehow managed to keep his hands on the title for over a year by getting DQ'd, counted out, or winning with outside interference. Him declaring himself the greatest of all time just added to the ridiculousness of his character. He could draw heat though.
I think Studd may have actually had the music first, not that it really matters. I can remember Studd having the music at WM V and I'm pretty sure that was before Duggan had music. Kind of amazing that I can remember something like that from 25 years ago, yet I have trouble remembering something from last week at work
yeah i know it was Studd's song first and Duggan got the remixed version but i heard it first with Duggan so i always associate the song with him lol.
That was part of Honky's gimmick was that he wasn't very good in the ring, yet would find ways to hang on to the title. Gorilla and Jesse would mention Honky's questionable in-ring skills frequently. He did draw pretty good heat, though.
Greg Valentine was a tag team partner of Flair's back in the late-70's, and he certainly borrowed a lot of Ric's material, including the delayed bumps after taking some punches or chops. Still, he was a pretty solid hand.
That's funny about Bad News doing the same thing two straight years at Survivor Series. He was another guy that while limited, drew good heat.
DiBiase would've been a multiple-time champion in a later era. One of the all-time great characters and heels.
i like that idea"on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
Man there are no flashers... now what are we going to do for vd

Finally made it to the RAW era and my lord Rob Bartlett is terrible. He was the Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football disaster before the Dennis Miller on Monday Night Football disaster.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I think Heenan might be on most of the shows starting after Superbrawl 98 or so when Dusty joined the nWo.
Starrcade 97 is good from that time period. The build up on the Nitros to the PPV are even better.
'98 and '99 are spotty at best. But I think both Spring Stampede shows are good (99 was better for the fatal 4 way main event).

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I watched what I believe was the Smoking Gunns Raw debut. They had a pretty neat finisher, Billy did a back drop and Bart caught the opponent upside down in mid air and did a piledriver. I always remembered them using the sidewalk slam/leg drop finisherComment

I'm watching the top ten blunders countdown, I don't think I've ever laughed so hard as during the 5 minute segment on Scott Steiner. The Chris Jericho King Arthur story is hilariousComment
