Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I watched all the Rumbles in order when the Network came out. I would agree that there are some weak ones in the mid 90's before the attitude era kicked off and last years sucked bc of the whole DB thing.
There was one, pretty old, where the clock wasn't working through the first 10 entrants or so. It was bizarre and I didn't understand what was happening until they finally acknowledged technical issues. These days I'm less like "Jailhouse Rock" Elvis and more like "dying alone on the toilet" Elvis.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Is it the Bischoff interview where the old Raw stage is in the background? I'm so damn sick of seeing that interview.
Changing gears, I absolutely loved the doc on the Network about World Class Championship Wrestling. Such a fascinating and ultimately heartbreaking promotion.
I wanna watch the one about the AWA soon. I find that late territories era of wrestling so fascinating. I can't actually watch the product from then because it's so different, but I find the era really interesting.
I saw the History of the World Heavyweight Title doc and I've come away with two things on Harley Race:
1) He's awesome
2) He's bad ***.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Just finished the HHH/HBK and Hardy Boyz/Edge and Christian rivalries. Not bad, preferred the HHH/HBK one to the latter.
I never realized Michaels was going off the rails that bad, glad he was able to turn it around.Last edited by AshamanCarnage; 01-14-2015, 12:02 AM.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Watched 2 MNW episodes last night, and again...same stuff they're repeating, and using same reasons but for diff moments.
Saying how the divas were one of big reasons WWF beat WCW cause they attracted more people.
And in the following episode I saw. They're saying how Leno,Rodman were a big reason why WCW won back the ratings for a period of time over WWF. But then later state that Leno was one of the reasons WCW started losing again cause people didn't want to see him?
They really contradict themselves so much in this whole history retelling stuff.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I have to say now that it's over, the Monday Night War series was a big disappointment. Using recycled footage and there was no real insight provided, they just picked random events/wrestlers and did mini-docs on them.
I thought the first episode was how the entire series was going to go; look at say 1996 in both WCW and WWE and break down what was/wasn't working for both companies.
Instead they just re-hashed the same stories over and over again. Just like with today's current product, I kept tuning in hoping for a change and it never came.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Can't remember who said it here, but the Legends of Wrestling show that talks about the Monday Night War is vastly superior to this 20-part fluff series.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I often do. I can put that show on and just let it go for hours man. Even if I've seen them a few times before.
I'd kill for new ones. I know they did a Legends of Wrestlemania episode or two but it didn't feel the same. Cole or Josh Matthews or someone hosted it. Just gimme Mean Gene or JR in a room with the smoke rolling and no limits on what they can say or what stories they can tell.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

I honestly only watched maybe 15 minutes of each, but thought what I saw sucked. Seemed more like carefully timed out segments and less of a group of guys sitting around shooting the ****.Comment
