Just put it on to watch Lesnar murder Kofi and the Balor/Owens match. Now that Balor is NXT champion, does this open the door for Owens as US champion?

Possibly, but he had to drop the NXT title soon since he's full-time on the main roster.Currently Playing:

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
With so many guys trying to get over by being cool heels, I love that Owens is trying to be absolutely despised. Throwing the flowers before the match was awesome, I loved the running chinlock spot tooComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
As for the event this morning, I thought it was well done. The intimacy of the building and the not so perfect camera work reminded me a lot of WCW in the early to mid '90s in terms of aesthetics. The matches were all pretty well done as well. Hopefully this opens up the gates for WWE to televise some of their overseas shows more often.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

I'm just now watching it. Jericho/Neville was awesome. Loved that Cole called it the Liontamer.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Pretty good event, even the diva's match was good even though the finish of the match kinda feel flat. Also Cole and Saxton did a excellent job of calling the show.Mets/Giants/Knicks/Rangers/Manchester United/Notre Dame Football

After watching that special, I take back every bad thing I've ever said about Cole. He was really, really good. Amazing what happens when they don't get stuff screamed in their ear.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I still think there was way too much trending on social media BS from Cole, but I'm pretty sure that's just him being instructed to do that. That stuff really kills the broadcast for me and it just makes it seem like they're trying way too hard to be trendy. You would never tune in to an NFL broadcast and hear Jim Nantz say that Brady vs Manning is the #1 trend in social media.
Other than that commentary was pretty good, I was surprised to hear them mention Jericho going by the name Lionheart and that Balor used to compete as Prince Devitt. They usually pretend anything anyone did before WWE didn't existComment

At least his commentary during the event toned down the twitter nonsense for the most part.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I agree with that, i'm just waiting for 5-10 years from now when all the twitter/trending stuff is exposed for just how "in the moment" it was because you damn well know that if the Network is around and people who never saw today's product hear Cole spewing that nonsense it'll be grating to them and to us as well in hindsight.
