Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I've been a day one subscriber and have never considered cancelling until recently. I mean it's only $10 so I don't even notice it but I haven't used it in probably over a month and still haven't been watching the current product. I don't care for any of the original programming they have on there and the stall on 97 RAW/Nitro is disappointing. I get that Prime Time is retro content but I'm just not really into that era and the show itself is hard to sit through. Anyone else thought of cancelling?Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I'm officially retracting this statement. The Network absolutely blew away my expectations this past week! I just can't help but feel that we're going to get 2000 soon as well. Even if we don't though, this content dump will hold me over for awhile. What's GREAT about the 1999 RAW uploads is that Smackdown 1999 is already uploaded so Smackdown is finally watchable since the RAWs are there to go with it! Woohoo!Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Yeah, I'm glad they finally got around to finishing the first few months of Smackdown. For a while Smackdown was just sitting there with a ton of missing episodes. Hopefully they go ahead and knock out at least all of 2000 for Smackdown and try to consistently upload RAW along with it. '98 and '99 RAW will keep me busy for a bit, but once I get through it, I don't want to have to sit for months again waiting to move along.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
Agreed but that's why I'm hoping Nitro is uploaded as well. For like two weeks or so earlier this year I was watching Nitro/RAW simultaneously starting with Hall's debut in WCW and then the PPVs as well. I only made it to August 96 before life got crazy and I stopped. I want to pick up again but at the same time, part of me wants to jump to 97 but there's no Nitro to go a long with RAW yet so IDK what I'll end up doing.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I feel like Hogan ****ed us from getting the rest of Nitro for a while. At least until the heat dies down a little bit from this whole thing. I started with RAW from the beginning and then picked up Nitro at it's starting point along the way. Was going good for a while until I ran into the the giant gaps in programming. Finally got to the end of '96 and couldn't decide what to do for a bit before just pushing on with RAW. Quickly blew through that though and got left waiting around for this moment. If they're quick about putting in '97 Nitro, I'll catch back up to RAW. Now that we have all of '97, '98 and almost '99 I've started '97 from the beginning and going through.Spoilerif the rumors of Sting resurfacing soon are true, I'm sure they'd want to promote that year (or at least being in marketing myself, that's what I would do).
Hart debuted at the end of 97 and Goldberg was primarily 1998 so who knows what's going to happen at this point. At least we know we are getting some kind of Nitro fixings though.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I guess I'm in the minority that feels this whole Hogan thing isn't going to prevent Nitro from being uploaded. I mean I know he's the focal point of 97 a long with Sting but they can still continue to promote it without mentioning him. They only took down Rock N Wrestling, you can still search for him and his two documentaries are still on there. Plus (potential spoilers about current product)Spoilerif the rumors of Sting resurfacing soon are true, I'm sure they'd want to promote that year (or at least being in marketing myself, that's what I would do).

I'm still surprised they haven't put this Thursday Raw Thursday up on the Network yet. There's some historical significance to that show. Not even thinking about Shawn and his smile, The Rock won his first title in WWE on that show. It can also be marked as the beginning of one of the all-time great feuds in the history of WWE between The Rock and Triple H.Comment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
There was a lot of interesting stuff on that survey including AWA stuff that I think would be really awesome to watch. I think the next few months is going to be interesting in terms of the back catalog of the Attitude/MNW Era stuff and we should start to see the older territory stuff early next year.
I wonder when we'll get some WCW Thunder as well.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
King, how did you watch RAW from the beginning? Some of those shows are just brutal.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I just can't watch those old Raws it just feels like a whole lot of nothing, heck I skip through a lot of PPV matches for the same reason.

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I've watched Every Raw until about the '94 Rumble via er other means before I realized the Network's OD stuff was available here. It's a bit of a grind sometimes but it adds context to the PPVs. I will be jumping back onto that once I (finally) get done watching Prime Time Wrestling.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I used to watch them just to hear certain entrances I haven't heard in a while and once they were done, I'd FF real quick depending on what the rest of the card looked like.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread
I started with Wrestlemania I when the network first came out, and have watched everything (WWE, WCW, AND ECW) in chronological order ever since. Call me crazy, but I'm enjoying some of the Raws from the early 90s. I'm in February 1994 right now, just before WM 10.
Once you've sat through the early 90s WCW PPVs, these Raws are a whole lot more entertaining lol.
