    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

I don't know when they did this, but I noticed last night they added a lot of mid-late 80s NWA programming in the vault. Looks like the have all the weekly editions of World Championship Wrestling from November 1985 through July 1989. I'm looking forward to picking up where I left off back when I had the old on demand channel and used to watch these

If anyone hasn't seen it yet, there is a fairly new Table for 3 up featuring Big Show, Mark Henry and Kane. One of the best ones I think. Very funny stories.

Got a question for some of you guys about the whole 1997 Shawn Michaels thing.

Watch the opening Austin/HBK promo on the May 19 episode of Raw. Is Shawn completely intoxicated or under the influence of something here? We all know about his drug problems during this time, but I did not recall ever watching a show and thinking it was apparent.

He definitively isn't right. I just watched it.

I'm watching the new Macho Man Collection that they just added and it's pretty good. Good matches and so many awesome promos. When I was younger I didn't care much for Savage. Now, he's one of my favorites. Very well could be the best pro wrestler ever when it comes to the whole package.

Didn't know this thread existed (haven't been to the wrestling section in a couple years maybe).

I work the night shift two times a week and I literally just sit here on my laptop bored. Any recommendations on what to watch and a start period? That's the trouble I always have is finding exactly when to start and I eventually give up watching it.

Thoughts on 2007, which I just finished:

-Du-rag Vince(after he had to shave his head) and King Bookah were just awesome during this year, man.

-Triple H-Carlito feud was a waste of time.

-The way they booked Umaga was just great.

Just started up 2008 right before the Rumble starts. I wish they uploaded the Smackdown episodes from these years. Just based on the PPVs, there were some good feuds going on during 07 and it sucks I didn't get to see the buildup for those, compared to Raw.

For new stuff I would start with the Shield Debut at Survivor Series 2012. You won't need to watch SD as nothing major happened on SD for like 6-7 years before the recent brand split which started in July of this year. And you get to see the end of the great Punk stuff. And the Shield stuff itself was great. And watch that up until like BattleGround or Payback this year. Old stuff go through and watch the Monday Night War between WCW Nitro and Raw. If you do that just watch all of Nitro.

I'd suggest doing the same thing I am doing. Start at 1997 and just go from there. It is one of the biggest years in wrestling history because of everything that happened, yet still recent enough that some of those guys are still around in some capacity

Edit: For example, I just watched Kane's RAW debut where he double choked slam the still unknown Hardy Boys.

I can't get enough of this 1987 NWA programming, I don't think Flair has ever been better on the mic

lol, That is true enough I suppose, especially when you remember he had multiple gimmicks before that. But it is still cool going back to see the beginning of guys that would become legends

Edit: Completely random thing but it made me lol, Hitman vs HHH and a giant paper airplane lands in the ring right in the middle of them. An absolutely beautiful moment

After months of spamming my email inbox (they are relentless) WWE Network finally sent a message worth opening. Free service through the end of January. Should come in handy for Takeover and Royal Rumble.
