    Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

So never really watched Thunder but am needing to see something from a 98 episode.

    Yokozuna faced Duggan.

I had no clue Yoko was in WCW and no clue Duggan was still there in 98.

    Y'all ever see that?

I do remember Duggan being the last WCW TV champion around that time, but I honestly had no idea Yoko went to WCW. Around about when Thunder debuted is when I stopped watching WCW altogether.

Yoko wasn't in WCW ever, so you must be a bit confused.

Did you mean Haku? He had a couple matches with Haku (Meng) on Thunder in 1998.

That's a fantasy booking thread, quite possibly in EWR/TEW or something.

Apparently that was some damn fantasy booking site I found.

Yeah, I just watched WM11 for the first in probably 8 years, and man it was pretty bad. Just was lacking any big WM moments, or anything resembling a WM atmosphere. And empty seats scattered everywhere, even in a smallish WM venue, and in spite of the rather large mainstream celebrity involvement.
The HBK/Nash match was worse than I remembered, but LT was actually better in the ring than I recalled. Granted, that's not saying much. Funny seeing LT completely gassed after the match, while Bam Bam walked to the back like he had barely broken a sweat.
Bret and Taker were completely wasted in stupid matches. While Razor and Jarrett, two of the best workers on the show, inexplicably worked the 2nd match of the night with a stupid ending. Dumb booking and wasted talent.

WrestleManias were actually terrible for a long time, but the spectacle (and celebrity) of it all carried it.

Yup. When the Network was launched, I was incredibly excited to rewatch every Mania and relive the experience. Once I started, I began to appreciate the modern Manias even more. Some of them are flat out terrible.

Sure, there have been some "meh" Manias in the last ten or fifteen years, but they are all worth a watch.

Man, 11 has always been a thorn in my side.

I mean Luger and Bulldog jerked the curtain against the Blu Brothers from crying out loud.

I had completely forgotten they were a tag team. Yeah the Lex Express was pretty much in the ditch by then lol.

                              I dont know.

Never seen WM 1 or WM 2 (Seen the battle royal and Hogan vs. Bundy). I can't comment on those.

WM 3 was good. WM 4 was good. WM 5 was okay. WM 6 was good. WM 7 was bad. WM 8 is severely underrated and good. WM 9 was bad. WM 10 was okay. WM 11 was bad. WM 12 was good. WM 13 was okay.

                              So in those first 13 i only have 3 bad ones (7, 9, 11).

14 was good. 15 was bad. 16-21 were good.

IDK. 4 or 5 out of the first 21 being bad I can deal with.

You can add WM 1 to the bad list and WM 2 to the utterly awful list. WM 1 is worth watching only for historical purposes. There's no reason to ever subject anyone to watching WrestleMania 2 though.
