97 overall had ups and downs, but Austin,Bret,Foley were my fave parts of that year. Too bad politics ruled WWE during that time, Hart Foundation was so good during that. And their production back then sucked(or was it just planned that way), lol, some moments cut off of TV cause they ran out of time. HBK-Bret confrontation in the ring....Raw ends, despite things actually going down between them on the show.

Not just WWE, but TV in general, it's sad to think that what some shows did in the past, would be criticized like crazy if they even did that today, cause of how PC society is, and people are offended by everything, and have major public platforms like twitter to express those comments.
Huh? Politics ruled WWE during '97? You sure you aren't thinking about WCW?

Lol, watching WM7 and a Japanese wrestler named Kitao is introduced and Bobby Heenan is like, "Hand towel?" Then Monsoon is like, "do you know what it takes to be a sumo champion?", and Heenan says something about eating 4 bowls of rice in under 1 minute with one chopstick. Lmao.

I meant ruined the hart foundation feud. Ends in the screwjob and then forced anvill to stay for 1 show, embarrassed him, and of course, owen stayed out of fear of what might happen if he broke his contract.

I'm pretty sure Anvil wasn't forced to do anything and Owen stayed because he wanted to.

Well that's different than WWE being "ruled" by politics man. That's one scenario out of the entire company you're pointing to. Besides that obviousness, I wouldn't say it ruined the Hart Foundation feud. That feud went as far as it could and it was one of the most memorable in wrestling history as is. I'd be curious to know why you think the feud was ruined?

I'm pretty sure Owen definitely wanted to leave but Vince wouldn't let him out of his contract initially. Eventually he was alright with his situation because he wanted to make enough money to be able to retire soon after to be with his wife and kids.

Hey guys. What do you think are a couple of Shane McMahon's best matches? I only remember the spots and not the specific PPV's.

Has to start with Shane vs Kurt Angle at King of the Ring '01

Then there's his match with Steve Blackman, I think it was at Summerslam '00? Maybe one of the lesser PPVs of that year? There's some more but I can't think of them all right now.
