I came across on reddit a cool post. Someone is remixing audio of original sources with the network video sources of all old ECW events so the events have their original feel. If you've checked out ECW on the network then you know how heavily edited it is.

I of course immediately checked out 2005 ONS to see The Sandman's entrance and it was awesome.

WWE answers AEW's announcement with an announcement of their own: updated version of WWE Network coming this week. https://www.cagesideseats.com/wwe/20...etwork-details

The trailer doesn't show clips for very long but it does look A LOT better. May be enough to get me to resubscribe. Dedicated superstars pages, better search function...looks promising.

Final-****ing-ly. This interface was slow and outdated when it launched.

Per the AskWWENetwork Twitter account's replies to people, the migration to the new update begins at 10pm EST tonight and runs until 6am Friday.

Got the new app on my iPad but can't use it because I don't have an active subscription and apparently you can't sign up until tomorrow.

It looks better for sure but the functionality is ultimately what matters.

                                Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

The update for the Network is pretty good (judging off an Android tablet). It's more visually appealing, it's easy to bounce around different sections, and the search is a big step up from what it was. I know that isn't saying much, but it's functional now and returns relevant results so I'm happy.

                                Random thoughts:
                                - Sometimes it'll return an error while I'm watching something and I'll have to reload the app. Hasn't happened often but more than the once or twice I've ever had it in the first five years. I've also had instances of the loading wheel just endlessly spinning during a search. Both of these seem like 'ironing out the bugs' issues so I'm not worried too much about them, but worth noting in case anyone else experiences them.

                                - Milestones for the end of matches are gone. I don't know that I ever just skipped to the end of a match, but again I'm just throwing things out for anyone that might use things to be aware of.

                                - Watchlists are gone for now. Supposedly coming back after the update is done.

                                - Collections and a dedicated Hidden Gems section are nowhere to be found.

They haven't updated Collections since March so they might be phasing those out, but they were nice to have as a general 'best of' type of section for a wrestler or specific theme. Upgraded search helps here somewhat, since the results are actually relevant if you're looking for a specific match.

Hidden Gems missing seems like an oversight or some unfinished update weirdness because it just doesn't make sense to ditch the specific section for them. This week's shows up on the home screen's list of newly added content, some (but definitely not all) of the older additions show up under search. It just feels like it's unintentionally missing or wasn't flagged correctly when they set up the new sections.
