Attitude Era Raw at MSG, is there a better crowd?

The pop for Rock coming out to start Raw was huge. When he hit a rock bottom on steph, everyone lost their minds.

Seemed like the MSG crowd was actually hoping for a HHH face turn? Either that, or they really hated Steph, because they were hoping HHH would reject Steph.

And that crowd was so excited when for a second it looked like Goodfather was gonna "Save the Hos" but then instead puts Victoria through the table.

A line I found interesting during an old SD. Edge and Christian were bragging about winning their tag titles at WM 2000...."In a tables ladder match".

We know the WM2000 match was the triangle ladder match, though it did end up having tables, and TLC wouldn't happen until Summerslam (which is a few weeks from the show I'm on), but it's weird hearing them refer to that match as a "Tables Ladder match" when it was never billed as such, and even to this day we just refer to it as the triangle ladder match.

Maybe they were trying to make "Tables Ladder match" a thing? Or simply planting seeds for the TLC stipulation.

"Ok, so you're gonna want to bend over and grab my legs Trish......I MEAN STEPH!"

We get Rock/Lita vs HHH/Steph. That Raw ends like the DX football jersey says, "D-Generate 69"

Goldberg untold is up on the network. Not a whole lot of new stuff was unveiled but it was a good watch. Nash “Let’s skip ahead and talk about one of the greatest finishes of all time”

I never knew Goldberg’s original idea was to get shot with a real stun gun. I’m sure I’m in the minority but I didn’t think the finish to that match was that awful. What they did a week later on Nitro, not so much

Was it **** when Hogan dropped the title to Taker when Flair slid the chair in for the tombstone?

Or the countless times someone lost because someone had a handful of tights. It’s wrestling, there are tons of goofy finishes. The cattle prod is no worse than any of the others

Exactly. It might not have been great but it gets killed because it put Nash over Goldberg.

In a vacuum that finish was fine. But in the context it was trash. It was 100% not time to take the title off of Goldberg. And then how they followed it up just compounded it.

Feels like WCW basically invented that whole.. let's screw the fans to get heat, leave them disappointed because they'll come crawling back either way mentality in that era, which WWE eventually grew to embrace. When people start seeing the promotion/show as the heel, that's bad.
