Wait, booking 101 has you end a massive streak like that with a DQ or count out loss? That would be horrible haha.

I think you’re right, at that point in time there were two people that could have/should have been the one to end it. DDP (Id have done it with a heel turn) or Hogan with insane nWo help which could have set up some epic rubber match with some kind of crazy stipulation to keep the nWo out.

Dave is going to kick these boys out of the club if he hears they wanted to end a PPV match with a non-finish.

Yes. It would be the correct move. You could drop him gradually from Goldberg not being the champ, to Goldberg taking his first loss but has never submitted nor been pinned, to Goldberg being submitted or pinned.

However, it needs to be said that I would have never let Goldbergs streak get as far as it did. That's the problem.

Imagine Russo booking the end of the streak. Probably Jeff Jarrett with a guitar in his Bob Vila landscaping goggles.

They wouldn’t even have a match. Goldberg would just lay down and let Jarrett pin him, then Russo cuts a worked shoot promo on Goldberg

                        WWE Icons looks cool!

I didnt catch the date of the airings. They mentioned Yokozuna on January 31st (after the rumble) but anything airing beforehand? I hope we can get some new content up between now and the Rumble. They know the subscription numbers will go up on January 31st, so maybe they put other things up before then to get people subscribing earlier. Hopefully some Rumble documentaries or something similar.

Before the Yokozuna preview, they showed a preview for episodes featuring Lex Luger, RVD, Beth Phoenix & The British Bulldog. The Lex one really surprised me, makes me wonder if he is going into the HOF next year. Now it really sucks Sting is in AEW because he's the best person to induct Lex into the HOF.

I saw those ones too, I was most surprised by RVD. Isn't he with Impact right now? But I dont think they showed a date for any of those. Maybe each week leading up to Yokozuna we see those other ones? But I feel the opposite, like the Yokozuna one is the one which kicks off the series.

But could that be a hint to the 2021 HOF class right there? Beth and Yokozuna already in, but I'd imagine 2021 has a smaller class since the 2020 class probably happens the same time.

Luger, RVD and Bulldog as the 2021 class? Lugers probably isn't long, RVD gets time limit, and Bulldogs family speaks on his behalf. Then they have the 2020 class with NWO,Batista and the others.

If WCW had any logical booking and no politics at the time, absolutley that should have been the end point. Hogan and NWO pull their antics, Goldberg spends months going through the NWO until Starrcade 1999 when we get the rematch and Goldberg goes into 2000 as the WCW Champion again.

The network was showing an old episode of Raw today. Even though AE didnt start until 97 (pick when you want to consider the start of it), it's interesting to see in an interview in 96 how McMahon was mentioning that "Shawn's got attitude, Brets got attitude, Austin's got attitude, even the undertakers got attitude".

Also, this was on the show

They could learn a thing or two from this based on their 2020 video.
