I'm sure people remember the "Paul, I can't feel my legs" pretend "real" moment, but I never knew they did a similar thing with Angle.

Angle talking to the WWF agents/trainers, and having APA and Jericho coming out there to support him too.

I've never seen this match before but heard all about it.

Was it a good match? No.

But I don't think it was as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

Kronik did suck and looked like they were a step behind, but I've definitely seen worse.

          Re: WWE Network Discussion Thread

Watching Unforgiven 2001 and listened to JRs podcast after, an interesting fact I never knew was that WWE was "forced" to make Angle the champ.

The shows in Pittsburgh, and you have Angle in his hometown, with the obvious emphasis being on the American Olympic Hero just weeks after 9/11. There was never a plan to make Angle champ until after 9/11 happened.

I wonder what the reaction would've been if Angle lost that one. Would Angles moment have come later on that year and he'd suddenly be the one becoming the first Undisputed Champ in history by beating The Rock and Stone Cold in the same night?

This Stephanie/RVD "flirting" thing they briefly did was weird, but it led to some funny lines.

Stephanie: I know you already beat Jericho, but my philosophy is "once is never enough"

RVD: I heard that about you! Look, I don't need anyone doing me any favors.

Stephanie: I happen to be very good at doing people favors....

              Edge got XPac good

That's the kind of promo that would've hit harder today than it did back then, especially the "that's called character development" part.

Man, Edge and Christian are so young there lol. Edge in particular sounds nothing like he does today. Accent isn't really like that anymore.

                Reminds me of this classic:

                "We're from Century City, Coliforya."

Another fun moment from that same Raw...before he had to "call Roman Reigns", and before Michael Cole "recieved an email from the anonymous Raw general manager", Heyman was reading faxes from Stone Cold live on Raw.

And poor Spike Dudley. Obviously I know Molly became Mighty Molly, but the whole story just happened out of nowhere and then she just randomly ditches him one week which left him looking like Zack Ryder when he saw Cena and Eve.

To think, there was a time that Hurricanes "What's up with that?!" was more over with fans than Austin's "WHAT"

Christian as a heel is so fun to hate. It's funny the parallel to him in AEW and him going heel in WWE. Literally the only thing wrong with Christian is that Vince didn't like him. Other than that, he easily should've been a constant main eventer even before going to TNA.

In AEW he's claiming all of Luchasaurus success and claiming to be the TNT champ, while during this time in WWE he was hogging Edges KOTR trophy and acting almost like he won it.

It wasn't nearly as bad as Undertaker with "Sara" tattooed across his neck. What a horrible decision that was, lol.

I remember around the time he was getting divorced (and eventually getting rid of the tattoo) WWE was airbrushing that tattoo out of recent Undertaker photos on their site.

What timing to be watching this given NXT No Mercy just happened and one of the big feuds in this PPV is Edge vs Christian (which funny enough early on featured Christian holding on to something that wasn't his yet he paraded around the whole time as if he won it....sound familiar?)

Can't believe this is/was the only real Edge vs Christian feud and they also have barely had any sort of story with or against each other since this.

This is one of the crazier table spots I've seen that doesn't involve a ladder.

That camera angle doesn't even do it justice.

Never knew it took 4 years after Survivor Series before WWF had a televised show in Montreal again.

And oddly enough, that was the show that Mr.McMahon returned for the first time in 3 months (he ironically disappeared after that segment where The Rock returned and joined Team WWF). Smart of him to appear on a taped show (to edit reactions) and only backstage.

Montreal obviously one of the "smark crowds", interestingly enough, they loved the WHAT chants, but not in the way fans ever since have done it.

Instead of chanting WHAT after every pause, they were just chanting it nonstop (like "WHAAT?WHAAT?WHAAT?WHAAT?"). It took Austin the entire invasion to try getting WHAT over, I'm surprised he stuck with it for so long (it was funny when he used it as a heel in a diff context than we've become accustomed to), and I'm glad the "WHAAT?WHAAT?WHAAT?" didn't catch on with fans in that way compared to what it's still like to this day.

They were airing Halloween Havoc on the TV version of WWE Network here.

Just thought I'd channel flip over to see what part of it they were at.

Saw its 1995 featuring Hogan vs The Giant, Sting and Flair vs Arn Pillmam, guys like Savage and DDP and Luger also on the show.

So of course I tuned in expecting an interesting point in the show just to find out THIS is what's on?

                                Sounds like WCW

I also knew Hogan did have black and white before NWO, never realized it was this soon before the NWO days.

                                Then there's Halloween Havoc 1998.

Steiner and The Giant defending the tag titles. But Giant and Hall are the champs, but as they said on commentary "I know the Giant and Scott Hall are the tag champs, but NWO rules, so they can do whatever they want with it"

And then later in the night is Hall vs Nash where this feud revolved around Halls trouble with alcohol? Nash beats him down, mocks his drinking problems, then walks away and loses via count out on PPV? Lol WCW.

What looks weirder than Bret in WCW? Sting with a goatee.
