I don't think anyone would have problems with patience if we had been given any sort of confidence that there's a real long-term plan here. If we're comparing to tv shows, I'd equate current WWE booking with something more like Heroes, which built a fanbase with an incredible beginning and then spent the next few years seemingly not knowing from one week to the next where they were going with anything until most of those fans got fed up and left.

Bryan jobs in 18 seconds and the crowd proceeded to **** on the rest of Mania and Raw the next night. That gave him support. Sheamus is stale as a face anyway. Also, you're misquoting me. I said "if this is a redemption storyline" which all signs seem to point to. The fall and rise of Daniel Bryan since he lost at Mania 28 has been subtle. From losing in 18 seconds to the weak link to beating Cena then getting screwed by Orton. What people seem to be forgetting is WWE has built Bryan up as the underdog. Remember that Cena promo before Summerslam? The Solid B+ promo from Stephanie? Wrestling like actual sports is 85% psychology 15% physical. People seem to forget the psychological part of wrestling or maybe I listen to Nash and Jake The Snake too much.Comment

So....... Daniel Bryan’s payoff isn't sticking it to the man (HHH) or winning the strap...... It's beating Sheamus. Yeah, that makes sense.

Im confident that they are going to give Bryan his shot.
They have to be going somewhere with Cena getting involved with the Wyatts. Bryan cant be done with them after losing clean last night.
And if Cena is involved, that could only mean good things for Bryan right?Comment

If this Authority angle is a conspiracy to keep who they want on top and they're blurring kayfabe and reality, Sheamus makes tons of sense. He's a Triple H guy who won a major title within his first year. He beat Bryan in 18 seconds and after 2 years, he's in Bryan's way again. We complain about continuity in wrestling but when it's staring you in the face, no one wants it. "What's best for business" in my opinion is Triple H saying "I'm gonna put my guys in the top spots." It's happened in wrestling since I started watching in the late 80s/early 90s. The New Age Outlaws are the tag champions in 2014. They subtly threw out there that the only reason they got a shot was because they are boys of Triple H. Batista won the rumble and he's a known Triple H guy.Comment

Re: Raw 1/27/14: If you quit watching for awhile, I wouldn't blame you.
I just don't see the need to rush the process of Daniel Bryan. I wanna see Bryan be able to cut some promos by himself.
The YES chant is one thing that makes Bryan a huge fan favorite. It would help if Big Show and others did it. The fans would not have done the whole YES thing as well. Grant its not as loud but it still loud enough.
As for not having Bryan in the rumble the more I think about it the more I like that he wasn't in the rumble. Bray's and his match was great and stole the show early no reason to have him show up in it and lose again and have him lose twice in one night.
So I'd say to fans of Bryan just be patient. HBK hinted in the preshow that when its Bryan's turn its going to be epic. Rather have it done in a epic way than just any old way!

Also, I truly believe Danielson won't ever get a run with the title.Last edited by BDKiiing; 01-27-2014, 01:55 PM.St. Louis Cardinals | Milwaukee Bucks | Los Angeles Rams

*facepalm* I never said that it had to be the payoff! I'm gonna direct this post to the last 3 people who misread/misquoted me because like y'all, I'm trying to make sense out of what happened last night.

Sheamus's only connection to the story is that he is somewhat a Triple H guy, even then, there is no on-scene connection. You are putting backstage and kayfabe together, when that doesn't happen to much. NAO and Batista are there for "Triple H guys" because they have been on-screen with Triple H before(DX / Evolution), so it makes sense for them.
It would be delaying the inevitable Bryan title win, which will hurt Sheamus in the long run, because fans won't care for the match, because Bryan should be at the title, not dealing with two feuds that are "beneath" him (not disrespect to Bray or Sheamus, but they aren't top story guys at the moment.) It would a "swerve" when it's not even necessary. Authority / Bryan has been going on since August, Mania would be the perfect place for Bryan to win the title with the blowoff match at the next PPV.NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers

It could be seen as just a heel being a heel. I think he still might feud with Taker(was totally waiting for GONG to save Big Show, or at least Rey to save Show(remove him from Rumble and put in Bryan).) Yeah, Lesnar is kinda just floating around as a piece that will put in to give him and someone else a feud. Cena / Punk / Bryan(more than likely) are taken up. They could put him against Sheamus, but it would be like the Big Show match, who really cares?NFL: Houston Texans / Carolina Panthers

Maybe we've finally reached our breaking point on this and we're sick of WWE jerking us and him around like they have been forever now.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn
