You can't really decide for yourself if something is good unless you actually watch it.

WWE is garbage right now and extremely uninteresting. But I still subscribe to WWE Network and watch archive footage when I have time because I have enjoyed WWE/WWF/WCW in the past. I want WWE to be interesting again and actually enjoy it. With the way the writing has been since 2014 though, it's been extremely difficult. Rollins was a boring champion, Sheamus was LOL, and Reigns is even worse. Midcard has no direction and hasn't mattered save for Cena's open challenge run. Divas are still boring. The scripted promos are still awful and holding the talent back. Etc etc, there's nothing new that hasn't been said 1000x already.
See that's just another thing, you say that and make it out to be a fact...all while that is totally your opinion because I personally am loving what's going on with everything.

It's one of the reasons I stopped doing the live reax in this Raw threads, because I felt like I was being nothing but bitchy and negative. I mean, I think 99% of the complaints were/are dead-on, but personally I've just given up and stopped watching Raw altogether lol.

Yep, I actually stopped reading live reviews from a certain website because of that lol. I used to follow along whenever I could not watch Raw like live. Its expected on forums but its unprofessional coming from a website.

Everything? I think that's a bit of a stretch. You can't love everything that's happening.

I love 99% of what's going on...besides the New Day and Charlotte's, read Ric Flair's, gimmick. God do I hate the New Day and it's embarrassing to Ric what they are doing to Charlotte.

New Day segments does get awkward more times than not. Not sure if its just the run time of their angles or not but whenever Big E or Kofi talk I start to cringe. Woods should be their primary mouth piece. The other two are hit or miss.

I laughed at this (not because of your opinion); New Day and Charlotte in my opinion are very very few reasons to watch Raw/Smackdown. Though, Smackdown is getting runs because of Mauro Ranallo commentating.

I like Charlotte as a wrestler. It's just her gimmick/character I hate. If she had a completely different gimmick it would be fine. As I have said before on here, she is Ric Flair 2.0, IMO. And I just hate New Day, they are just so annoying, which is a good thing.

Okay okay I haven't liked the divas in 4-5 years, so that's one thing I haven't been liking...my bad.

If you're comparing it to recent WWE then maybe. Everything about it is worse than the Monday Night Wars era though and that's the basis I use for comparison because that's when I loved wrestling the most. Match quality and wrestler technical ability is not high on my list nor the majority of people that watch. I'm a big and strong dude; my favorite wrestlers growing up were Hogan, Warrior, Austin, Goldberg, and Ahmed Johnson. I wanted to be like them. Like I stated in the network thread, go watch the Nitro from 98 with Goldberg vs The Giant. The excitement that Goldberg brings hasn't been seen in YEARS. Hell go watch the last 99 episode they put up where Goldberg returns. WCW was garbage then but the excitement Goldberg generated was unreal. Absolutely nobody in the WWE save for maybe Lesnar is capable of that now.

I completely understand where you're coming from, the mid 90' is where I started and when I fell in love with wrestling. Though I just don't feel like you can compare the two. It is a way different day and age, and they definitely can't get away with the stuff they used to. So yes, if you're comparing it to the mid to late 90's...heck even up to 2004 the product right now isn't the best. Without thinking about the past, and just watching it for it is makes it a lot better for me, and makes me enjoy it. Honestly this whole discussion is opinion based, and there is no true right or wrong answer was just something that finally got to me enough to post about.

It is kind of unfair to compare to what was probably at a time when the company was at its best. The era just before that was horrendous looking back but as a kid I enjoyed it.

Bret was my favorite wrestler at the time.

It's absolutely an opinion for sure. I just don't understand how people who enjoyed the 90s can even enjoy today's product. Even without comparing, as a standalone it's just blah. I kind of compare it to the TV show Heroes whereas the 90s reminds me of Season 1 and everything after is the other seasons that are just all over the place, no solid sense of direction, and poor character development.

I battle the same fight with rap music. Lol

90's was at its best and now its just all over the place and ironically you have to go underground or niche (Indies) to get that feel again. Thank goodness for guys like J Cole though.

See that's where I don't agree. I love Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, Stardust, NXT, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Brock Lesnar, Ryback, The Social Outcasts, Kevin Owens, Neville, Kalisto, Sheamus, Del Rio, Rusev and more I enjoy their characters and the way they wrestle. Totally opinion based, but that's mine I enjoy the product that is going on right now, not completely because of the writing but because of the superstars.

Why is it unfair to compare? It's the same guy in charge then as is now. He's the one that made all the decisions that have led WWE to where it is now. If he didn't have a monopoly on the business, he'd be forced to make changes, just like in 96-97.
