On This day..... April 1st, 2012 was John Cena vs The Rock.

I think the April Fools Joke here was that it wasn't going to be once in a life time.

It was so dumb. You have the most over talent of the 90s-00s, in his home state, and they thought turning him heel at that moment was a good idea. Crowd didn't give a damn.

The night that really made "Raw after WM crowds" a thing. Probably one of my fave crowds ever on Raw. Though despite that, just hope if/when we have crowds like this in the future, the chants are more related to what's going on in the ring rather than chanting for commentators.

When their music hit, I marked like little kid. I don't read 'dirt sheets' or anything, so I truly wasn't expecting them to show up, let alone win.

The day Wrestlemania became.... YEStlemania. Daniel Bryan's return to the ring this Sunday at Mania comes at the same city and stadium where he reached the pinnacle in WWE. By beating Triple H in the opening match, he earned a spot in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match later that night and became the Champion we all wanted him to be.

I was telling my friends, I still can't believe we were there in person to see that happen. When that happened, the feeling that came over the Super Dome that night was just incredible. It's as if the Saints were in the Super Bowl in New Orleans, and they had just lost on a last second Touchdown or Field Goal.

I felt bad for the Women who had to follow that and nobody gave a hoot about it and the crowd didn't come back to life until the main event a match later.

Remember watching this live. That was a hell of a match.

So many years later, still think of that as one of the underrated moments in Raw history(from a match/move standpoint).

One of those reasons I liked WWE so much back then. People can say all they want about stuff they hated during that time, but I felt WWE during those years is the exact model that they should be using long-term in terms of how they put on a show(match and storyline wise and production wise too)

May 19th........... The night 4 guys broke kayfabe in the world's most famous arena. Shawn was untouchable as the Champ, Hall and Nash were leaving for WCW leaving Triple H to take the punishment for this sin. Hunter was scheduled to win the King Of The Ring Tournament in 1996 before this happened and it then went to Austin and the rest is history.

Makes you wonder...if he wins the king of the ring does he end up on a different career path and not get put in the angle with Stephanie that led to them getting married in real life and him being in his current position. That whole angle came about because of the McMahon/Austin feud
