It was apparently the only live segment that Rock-Eddie ever had. Forget where I heard it, but I heard it was real popular too.

WWE RAW hit a milestone on this date in 2012 with RAW 1000. RAW 1000 featured guest spots from legends, Lita returning to face Heath Slater who proceeded to get beat up by every legend he had faced weeks prior. John Cena cashed in his MITB opportunity in a one on one match against WWE Champion CM Punk which culminated in Punk's long awaited heel turn.

Tonight's RAW will be episode 1,313 meaning we are 687 Episodes away from RAW 2000.

Surprising thing about July 29th. Raw was filmed on this day just 1 time in history! It was 2002 that it happened.

-Rock vs Flair (first (of 2) meetings between these 2, and only singles match they would ever have)

-Jericho jumps from SD to Raw

            And THIS happened!

I feel like Rock had a ton of those passing the torch type moments. Then he was gone like the next year lol.

lol forget next year, a month after that Flair match Rock lost to Lesnar and that was it for his career as a full time guy.

Imo, that's part of the reason why the following era struggled. You had the 80s era turn into HBK/Bret which turned into Austin/Rock, but because of how Austins career ended and Rock bolting for Hollywood, we didn't get a proper transition to the following era. The most we saw was Lesnar get the torch, but he left too. Orton did get the torch passed to him eventually as well, but then we saw them have to create stars out of Batista/Cena in a different way.

That’s not all that accurate. They had a chance to transition just fine, they allowed Triple H to bury everybody though and they put too much behind pushing Brock Lesnar. Booker T, Kane, RVD, Jericho were all poised to be huge stars for them but they allowed Triple H to bury all of them that killed their credibility once Rock left and Austin was done. Austin kind of screwed them over because he walked out so they lost part of his last little bit of run. Benoit was out with his neck injury, Edge eventually went out with a neck injury so that didn’t help. They had a chance to transition, they just didn’t do it. Austin and Rock leaving wasn’t something that caught them by surprise.

It’s been a while since we had some good ol’ Triple H slander. Seeing him give Shawn the Pedigree after forming DX just made my blood boil again.

                    **** Triple H.

Remember, it’s not slander if it’s true. Also this isn’t spoken, so no slander. Libel, but again, if it’s true it’s not sooooo.....yeah, **** Triple H lol

                        Summerslam 1997:
Owen vs Austin for IC title (Owen 3:16 says I just broke your neck)
Bret vs Undertaker for WWF title

                        August 3, 1998:
                        WWF Tag titles- Undertaker/Austin (c) vs Rock/Owen

That was the main event, but THIS is how that Raw ended: (NSFW)

That moment is easily in my personal top 5 most memorable Raw moments. Putting aside whether it was good or bad. I just flat out remember where I was, and how funny I thought that was, like it was yesterday.

Up there with the Pillman gun scene, Cactus/Funk rolled off the stage in a dumpster, HBK fainting in the ring, and a few others.

There's too many big Raw moments in history that I partially don't want to rank them because I'm sure I'll forget stuff.

Could spend forever naming moments like Austin with zamboni and beer truck, Rock with 'This is your life',his concerts and for me, both his big returns(the 2001 Invasion one, and the 2011 return), Kane ones like him unmasking, and the time he set JR on fire and so many more.

What I realized from that paragraph alone is that none of these were matches(Kane unmasking was a result of a match if you want to get technical). Which is probably why I don't enjoy watching things as much anymore. They have too many matches that go on so long and have commercial breaks during them. Too many forgettable things nowadays. Even the Kane unmasking one, while it was the result of a match, that meant the match itself had meaning behind it and a big reason to care about it.
