Now I know MITB was announced last year way before we entertained the idea of Cody Rhodes returning to WWE. Yet WWE would have pulled off perfect timing of Cody winning MITB tonight if he didn't get injured.

15 Years Ago Today, Dusty Rhodes Introduces Cody Rhodes to the WWE Universe. Randy Orton however had other plans and slapped Dusty Rhodes leading to a match between Randy and a young Cody Rhodes.

It's crazy how it's been a whole year, and that she hasn't even been in front of fans in 2.5 years as of now.

When was the last time a major star stepped away for over a year due to injury when the original timeline seemed like maybe several months? Even the ones who were out long like Bryan, Edge and so on we knew that was the end (until it wasnt)

It's probably best that Ding Dong Hello never happened in front of a live crowd lol. But that is a long time off, and WWE could for sure use her back.

She's likely being saved for either women's champion post - SummerSlam at this point.

They could definitely use her with how thin the main roster women's division is. She was doing the best work of her career prior to the injury, IMO, and her plus Sasha were really, really great.

Still mad we didn't get a Bash At The Beach PPV on a beach during the pandemic era with no fans.

RA era has had it's bad moments like all eras, but this is one of the reasons I loved that era.

Look how many big things happened in a single show.

It didnt need to be edgy (even if this era did have edgy stuff) and it managed to have such great shows.

Ruthless aggression era during the sumners were especially so good. Seemed like every year they'd have at least one or two big stories for the summer which were so fun to watch.

Crowd was so hot for that match, the guys just had to do simple stuff to get a reaction. Basic psychology because The Rock was so damn over.
