Exactly. He’s a pro. If he sucked he absolutely wouldn’t have lasted 25 years working for VKM.

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
Yup. If you watch a video of every Raw intro you can actually see the moment it all changed because they recut it to make it less risqué. They had to change the product (I guess), but man it was sad.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
A few days late but this little gem from the Summer of 2018 gave us the dream match of The New Day vs The Elite.. Street Fighter Edition! Not sure how true it is but I read that New Japan agreed to have the actual 6 Man Tag Match take place between The New Day & The Elite but ROH & WWE said no.
June 14th, 2018:
With Forbidden Door coming up, Omega's promo after the contest really stands out considering this was before AEW and that he had a desire to bring wrestling together.. and to open the door to create something fun for the fans.
"You know, it's true. Years and years and years ago, two men set out on a path. A path to change not only the wrestling world but the world of video games as well. We felt that, yes, these two worlds should come together. They should unite. We shouldn't be against each other, we should all work together towards one common goal."
"Guess what, everyone? We don't hate each other. In fact, what we want to do is work together to give you guys the best entertainment package you've ever seen. As far as I'm concerned, step 1 was a giant success. This feud, as of today, is over. However, at some point in time, Creed, I hope I run into you again.Last edited by UFCMPunk; 06-17-2022, 11:24 PM.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
I only saw a few clips, but it's weird seeing some of this stuff in WCW, especially 1992.
JR and Jesse Ventura commentating together. I never even knew Ventura was ever in WCW.
Paul E Dangerously bringing out Cactus Jack to attack Steamboat, and Cactus faced Sting in a falls count anywhere match.
Johnny B Badd was just weirdComment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
15 years ago, one of the most horrific moments in wrestling history happened.
Vengeance 2007, Punk vs Benoit for the ECW title. But Benoit was unable to attend due to a "family emergency".
All of it is just so crazy to think about.
Everything that happened was over the course of a weekend. It's not like he snapped and just one night everything went down. This was a full on weekend which even involved texting and calling others and giving fake stories and updates.
It will always be something that's just so tragic to think about and how everything went down.Comment

Re: On this day in professional wrestling history...
Becky's transformation in NXT was one of the reasons why early NXT was so good. You had actual character development. That debuting Becky on the main roster would've flopped big time (no pun intended).
Such a small thing, but the Takeover when Becky and I think Sasha as well both debuted their new hair colours made them both drastically stand out in a good way.Comment

Still one of my favorite NXT matches from that period. It's a shame it doesn't get talked about more.Comment
