A story that came out yesterday or the day before basically said Punk was looking forward to returning to AEW, so then Meltzer put out something on his forum that cast Punk in a negative light, which caused Punk to respond.

Either he's coming back or he's not. If he's not coming back...that's a huge missed money-making opportunity for AEW.

If he wants to come back, I'm bringing him back.

AEW is a business. You have a chance to do something which will boost your business which doesnt invovle doing something unethical, so why not? Because a few guys might have feelings hurt? Not like Punk is gonna go around picking fights in the lockerroom. Regardless whose fault it was, clearly it took something huge to cause the fight in the locker room, not like someone just walked up to someone and punched them and left.

I could easily see him still coming back. Khan definitely isn't above doing worked shoot angles. He would want the lines blurred.

The problem is when you start talking about "he refused to lose to me," it's kind of exposing things to a ridiculous degree. That can't be part of a storyline lol

            Re: AEW Off-Topic

The fact that all this Punk vs. AEW drama won't die is both funny and sad. If Khan intends on bringing Punk back, I think he does, then he needs to somehow smooth things over.

I think he needs to rethink how he uses and features Punk. He needs to treat and use Punk similarly to how Brock was used in his return to WWE.

A special attraction that has limited interaction with the overall locker room. [emoji38]

Otherwise, they need to end this relationship before Punk really starts slinging mud (which he isn't beneath doing).

And Dave Meltzer is as "unbiased" a journalist as they come. Why pick sides and continue to drag this **** out when it was finally dying down (and Punk might return either way)?

Renee Paquettes latest guest on her podcast is Jon Moxley.

He talks about why he bleeds every match, and talks about CM Punks latest posts online.

It was definitely a major risk by Tony doing that.

If WWE got wind of that, I wonder if they'd even make him an offer that same time. Not because of the AEW title, but because they could try bringing back in Ambrose. Especially since it would be HHH and not Vince in charge.

Could you imagine after Reigns beats Lesnar, we suddenly see Ambrose show up.

It's awesome because Renee is the only person that can get him to open up.

My favorite part was her saying he needs to wrestle in tights again because of his legs and his reasoning for not is because he has been wrestling for so long in Under Armour combat boots that he can't get comfortable in wrestling boots anymore and he doesn't like wrestling in wrestling shoes.

Enjoyed his breakdown of the Texas Death Match with Hangman.

Really hope CM Punk just stays away from AEW. Had his shot, it didn't go good at all outside of his feud with MJF, was injured twice and caused the backstage fight at All Out.

I like Punk but his time is done and money/ratings wise, he wasn't as big of a boost that would be worth the trouble especially if it comes at the cost of losing Omega, Young Bucks and potentially MJF. Just no way would I sacrifice four talents for one.

One of the most ignorant mark post I've seen here.

There are numbers to back up what Punk brought to the company. Also numbers that show the company didn't miss a beat when Kenny was hurt.

I agree Punk didn't look like prime Punk, but that other stuff you said is legit BS.

The numbers were minimal at best. Punk isn't what he once was obviously, is way too much money, injury prone and no one wants him in AEW. What's the point in bringing him back only for everyone else to leave? Who's he gonna fight? Jericho? lol

Punk was awesome over a decade ago and had a decent run in AEW with the main highlight being with MJF. I simply wouldn't sacrifice several top wrestlers including arguably the true best in the world Kenny Omega and for what? An aging injury prone troublemaker? Nah.

Sometimes, you just need to move on.

It seems inarguable that Punk elevated AEW, and the viewership/ratings speaks for itself. The drop-off since he left has been noticeable, both in show quality and general relevance.

Between Cody and Punk leaving it's been a lot.
