well worth the read, love eddie so much, and glad he found a home.
I remember watching Eddie’s debut live. After reading that story, I had to go rewatch his debut.
It hits different after knowing how much he had to grind to get there.

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Bryan Danielson confirms WWE's new contract offer would have allowed him to wrestle in Japan and other places. So if both allowed him too, I wonder if he thought WWE would still restrict him as where AEW would have more freedom in his matches outside of the company.

Re: AEW Off-Topic
Now we just need Japan to open their borders more. NJPW feels like it's been stuck in a weird limbo with their shows not being what they could be. And fans in attendance reacting only via applause for everything. I think we could see some pretty epic matchups and talent trades next year.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
I'm hoping Kenny Omega drops the AAA Mega championship next month and then takes time off to get himself healthy, because oh boy he is a mess.
A new video of Omega working with his pain management doctor sheds light on what the Best Bout Machine has been dealing with while delivering those bouts.
On top of scuttlebutt that Omega has been working with extreme shoulder problems, it was recently revealed that he suffers bouts of vertigo while wrestling. Omega discussed this medical issue during a chiropractic session with Dr. Beau Hightower. That’s the man that uses mallets and spikes to hammer his clients.
On the topic of Omega’s C1 vertebra, the Best Bout Machine shared:
It’s been an issue since 2018. I just get real bad vertigo. I get dizzy in the ring. The room spins. It’s been a new skill I’ve had to inherit, which is wrestling in a spinning ring. So, to make sure I get that straightened out as much as I can as often as I can is really paramount for my performances.
He had openly stated in late 2020 that he had been dealing with a torn labrum, and on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio Dave Meltzer discussed just how badly damaged his shoulder is.
"I don't know if he doesn't have any strength (in his shoulders), but he can't lift heavy weights with them," Meltzer said. "The last time we were talking about it, he said he was able to lift the bar... he's told me 'I can work a match without my shoulders.'"Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
I would just let Kenny heal until Double or Nothing, or All Out 2022. He had all those injuries while being a champion in multiple companies, holding multiple world titles, traveling across the world, putting on fantastic matches, I'd say it's a well deserved break.
I only say All Out 2022 which means August/September but AEW is so stacked at the moment, you don't need him right now. Plus with all the issues he has, rushing him back would be the worst thing they could do. Hangman has enough challengers to get him through the next year as Champion and none of them involve the need to have Omega.Comment

Re: AEW Off-Topic
According to Uncle Dave, Kenny is getting evaluated Wednesday and they will determine then what to do. Dave said he was wrestling hurt all year, but was determined to finish the program with Hangman.
Personally, I hope they write him off by having Cole and the Bucks turn on him. Get healthy Kenny so we can enjoy you a few more years.

AEW Off-Topic
According to Uncle Dave, AEW has informed AAA that Kenny Omega will be unable to defend the AAA Mega Championship next month at Triplemania.
Kenny is having multiple surgeries to repair his shoulder, knee, sports hernia, and nasal septum.

Plus, like someone else said they have plenty of talent to hold the fort down until he returns. Adam Cole can take a more prominent role in the Elite and maybe they can cut back on all the goofy heel ****.

Re: AEW Off-Topic
AEW announced Battle Of The Belts to take place Sat Jan 8th in Charlotte, NC at the Bojangles Coliseum. This is s TBS special event that will see all AEW Titles defended on the show.
WWE must have a strangle hold on the Spectrum Center, I thought for sure AEW would have run Spectrum Center by now.Comment
