Their women's division by far is their weakest part of the roster. Nobody stands out and nobody that could be a Becky/Charlotte/Sasha-type star IMO.

Yeah. I would argue the in-ring is no worse then WWE, but people don't know or care as much about the AEW women's roster yet. They're trying to push Britt Baker as the big star, but I am already so damn tired of hearing about how she's a dentist. That doesn't make me care about her.

I only recently found out Britt Baker D.M.D. was actually on Raw. She was one of Nia Jaxs first squashes.

And she's dating....ADAM COLE BAY BAY.

She's been one of only women on roster to stand out to me so far. If Kong is on roster, I wouldn't be opposed to some lengthy reign from her while they build rest of division.

Part of me looks at AEW roster and just feels like we'll be seeing some AEW people on their roster one day. Same can be said the other way too.

As if I need to say it again, but Adam Pages theme is stuck in my head. Best one in AEW.

AEW's Women's division is meh. A few solid women wrestlers but no true standouts. Would love to see them somehow snag Tessa Blanchard from Impact especially since Tully is in AEW but probably not going to happen.

Otherwise, I have enjoyed both AEW Dynamite shows. Jericho's promo was great. And that is a good card for this coming Wednesday.

Britt has worked 3 different matches for WWE. She also worked a squash against Shayna and then a dark match during the 2 second MYC, in which she was an alternate. When she signed with AEW earlier many were surprised because they figured she was WWE bound due to being an alternate in the MYC and then her relationship with Cole.

Also even more fun fact she was in the front row sitting one seat away form Steph at Takeover 25 earlier this year. And was shown on camera.

I've cut out nearly all modern WWE.

Smackdown was fun for one week, but other than that, I don't miss much. AEW I haven't missed an episode yet

No, not a good idea. TNA tried to do this very thing, and then Vince brought back Bret to make up with Shawn on live TV and destroyed Impact in the process. They never truly recovered.

Let AEW build something. This should be long term, not a short burst.

                Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

Next 2 months especially will be interesting to see what AEW is like given how this is the duller time in wwe booking.

They're just coasting to the SA show, and SS will be the SD vs Raw stories. So there's no actual brand specific feuds until December (which as we know, is usually just the letdown month as people await the RTWM).

Looking forward to the show tonight. Televised PPV in philly!

                  Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

Meltzer said he talked with Jake Hager, and Hager focused on how the fact that AEW does one show a week, with zero house shows, is an advantage over WWE because WWE guys are tired and beat up on the road.

Right or wrong, I actually feel like it's a negative. One of the reasons NJPW wrestling is so great is because they tour a ton and their in-ring is so finely honed due to repetition.

Lowkey I always felt like one of the (many) reasons TNA in-ring suffered was because a lot of those guys were glorified part timers who didn't work the road, and would show up for those shows without fine tuning those matches in front of audiences (or anyone, for that matter). So when something would break down they would be less comfortable knowing what to do next on the fly.

But then again NXT for so long taped a bunch of shows all at once and were fine. Granted in NXT they are practicing constantly, which was not happening in TNA lol.

I think the perfect balance would be running shows 2-3 times per week. That's what guys are used to on the indies.

Either way, WWE's product being better or worse then AEW has zero to do with guys being on the road constantly. The wrestlera can only do what they are told to do in WWE.

                    Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

If AEW had a place like the performance center, we could have guys basically practicing their matches beforehand.

0 house shows would suck from a familiarity standpoint in terms of guys seeing what works and what doesn't. But too many shows like we all know, can burn guys out mentally and physically.

Even 3 a week I think might be too many. Maybe 1 TV and 1 house show a week would be the most they should go with for now. 2 if they get bigger, but 3 would start bordering on too much.

                      Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

NXT has show houses too though. Not as many as Raw or SD. But they still work over the weekend in Florida and then in the last year or two they started to do a national tour with a group of talent in conjunction with the FL loop.

                        Another injury in AEW.

Luchasaurus is out of the match tonight with an injury.

No house shows yet and we've seen injuries to multiple guys on the roster who have been pulled from matches.

Love the pacing of the match, not a lot of waiting around for the opponent to do a move. Just very exciting in general.

How do you give fake fighting a real sports feel?

Try having a draft but having 1 person generically announcing picks round by round on stage?

Having "execs" giving over the top reactions to draft picks they "made"?
