    AEW Dynamite Thread

The Elite in Chicago…yeah, the crowd is definitely split on them.

Heard both “F*** the Elite” chants and “F*** CM Punk” chants. This crowd is wild

Omega getting the boos with the GTS lol

As heavy handed as the Punk references have been in this match…I fully expect him to return.

Thunder Rosa has finally been stripped of the women’s title, which means Jamie Hayter is now the Women’s World Champion.

Yeah seems everyone online is convinced he’s coming back.

It makes sense given all the mentions

Tony Khan probably worried about him going to WWE and doesn't want that. All the mentions remind me of them indirectly mentioning Punk before his debut.

When I heard a small group initially saying this was all a work, I thought there wasn't a chance, but seeing this now and then looking back at how everything was or has been, and is still being handled, this could really turn out to be one elaborate, well-played work.

There is still a part of me that questions it, though. If this wasn't a work, I wouldn't imagine the EVPs would be out-right mocking someone soon after coming back, someone who more or less has a gag-order in effect currently and has done so-so on being quiet about it all, save for his mentioning it slyly while commentating an MMA event recently.

I think the incident was real but they're capitalizing on it and making a work out of it.
If you ever attended a WWE live event (house shows and PPVs) which wrestler(s) did you buy a ticket to see? https://forms.gle/d5uh8iifDbfDBdDd8

There are some convenient things that happened that could point in the direction of it being a work. If that turns out to be the case, I'm going to like Tony Khan and AEW way way less. That's some BS.

That's a fair take, and more logical.

If this entire fiasco ends up being a work, I'll have tremendous more respect for TK than I do currently. It'll really be a fine work of art if they've gone to these lengths to fool not only the fans, but sports media and more mainstream media as well. I've seen the "Post-PPV Pipe Bomb" referred to not less than three different times on mainstream networks by talking heads that neither care for the industry nor are willing to give it talking time unless they're told to, if for no other reason than they just don't want to associate with the industry when compared to other, non-scripted sporting options. This whole scenario drew all kinds of eyes and ears that otherwise just don't care about wrestling but were drawn to the event and its consequences for the amount of drama it brought... wide-spread drama just not seen by most wrestling angles or storylines.

For context, I can't think of a storyline since D-Generation X in its earlier, more rebellious days that ever drew this amount of attention.

So, Toni's Storm's interim title reign will now go down as an actual title run. This whole thing is so odd lol.

                    Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

The interim thing is so dumb in wrestling. Just strip the champ of the title and give them an automatic title shot when they come back.

                      Good to see Hangman back.

That could’ve been ugly…Mox slipped off the stage.

Haha…MJF has his own version of the AEW title.

If it's true about William Regal being done with AEW, I understood the angle last night. What I don't get is if AEW knew his deal was up and he was leaving, why go through with the angle at Full Gear to begin with?

Like wouldn't it have been better if Regal tried throwing the brass knuckles to Mox with MJF intercepting it and using it himself that way?

Triple H taking over WWE is definitely having negative consequences for AEW. But, even though I'm not a WWE fan, having that guy in charge is good for that promotion and for wrestling overall, so it's hard to be mad or bitter about it. Regal leaving really sucks, but AEW is still not the big time like WWE, and his role there would definitely more substantial.

                              That's the thing too.

Regal in AEW is better than Regal not in wrestling at all.

But Regal in WWE running NXT and having a backstage role was probably the best role he's had in his career.

It sucks Regal might be back in WWE literally weeks after Wargames. Everyone joked about AEW letting Regal appear for one segment and that was it. And then freaking out when HHH posted Regals Wargames clips. Little did we know Regal was heading back to WWE in actuality.

Would this make Regal the first notable name to go back to WWE from AEW after leaving WWE (obviously Cody doesn't count, he wasn't in WWE when AEW was around).

That MJF/Starks promo segment is why you let guys do their thing and you don't script everything. That **** was amazing.
