It was indeed the Final Countdown.... Moxley chokes out Danielson and wins the AEW World Championship!

Edit: There it is, Wheeler turning on Danielson and apparently they are killing Danielson off lol.

I saw this on Reddit... Bryan's final matches were against all three members of The Shield. A real full circle moment given The Shield's first ever loss as a group was in a Tag Team Match where Bryan made Seth tap out.

Daniel Bryan's last match on RAW: Seth Rollins
Daniel Bryan's last match in WWE: Roman Reigns
Bryan Danielson's last match as a FULL TIME wrestler in AEW: Jon Moxley

If you're going to do a last match that isn't actually a last match, I guess that's the way to do it. Just destroy the guy. He'll get revenge down the road. Probably do a few PPV matches next year.

The ending of that PPV, that was true "main character dies in series finale" vibes.

He's getting revenge on MJF for MJF not getting revenge on him?

Hopefully Cole can stay healthy going forward.

And if not for a guy like Bryan (and slightly before that, Punk), the Shield wouldn't have even happened, Rollins and Ambrose probably never get given a shot in WWE.

What a weird ending that was.

Kip blew his run in, you could clearly hear Christian be like "NO, NOT YET" and Kip just backed down and went back in the crowd.

What's weirder is Hangman came out right after that. Not during, but after. So if someone realized Kip jumped the gun, they weren't able to stop Hangman? He runs to the ring and realizes its not the time yet so he just lays on the floor with the "uh oh.....what do I do now?" Look for a good 2 minutes.

I wonder what happened there. My guess is someone thought it was a 5 min overrun so Kip came out with "1 minute left" not realizing the show wasn't actually over at the 5 min overrun part.

I'm kind of sorry I missed that. I'm assuming they edited it for social media. Hangman laying on the ground with that crazy face felt like a botch in and of itself, but I guess it's his character lol. I miss alcoholic millennial Hangman, but really that's just me missing 2019-2021 AEW in general.

For sure that would've been edited on any future airing of that.

Turns out the second part of the run in was actually a nod to the last time Hangman and Christian were involved with each other (including Christian being the one hiding on the ground after)

What was up with the mics during this show? Crowd seemed in to it but mics didn't pick it up.

Adam Coles entrance had almost 0 reaction but you could see crowds of people chanting along.

Maybe it's the acoustics of the venue. Or AEW just has production problems.

Every time AEW goes to Salt Lake City it takes me back to that last Dynamite show in March 2020 before **** hit the fan.

Guess you can say, as JR put it, Business is about to pick up in AEW. Going to be curious how this goes, obviously we have heard from Triple H himself say he wasn't interested in a Hurt Business reunion.

With more creative freedom in AEW, how will the Hurt Business do under Tony Khan? Do you guys think Lashley will receive top booking, perhaps as TNT Champ while Moxley is World Champion?

Small aesthetic note, but I loved the orange ropes for Halloween.

WWE goes bland/white for all shows now and I hate it.

Coloured ropes make 0 difference to the show, but it just looks nicer, like if a basketball team has a cool court design. Doesn't impact the play in any way, but you like seeing it.

Orange Cassidy coming out and cutting a serious promo for the first time!

I hope that Adam Cole spot was a work (not the end of the match spot, but the one early on). If he gets injured again...maybe he should think about that infamous managerial role offer.

Hangman can literally go into every feud like "will I set your house on fire?" and everyone will believe he'll do it.

Glad to see Private Party finally win the tag titles.

Dynamite had 523K viewers on Wednesday. How far can the viewership fall?

Serious question. People wanted the Hurt Business back in WWE, they got mad when Triple H said he had no plans to bring it back. Now AEW is giving them the Hurt Business, and nobody is watching despite all this talk of how much they wanted to see the Hurt Business back.

Is this like a WWE only thing, like do fans only care about certain wrestlers if they are in WWE vs AEW? Like I'm aware the IWC is a small portion of fans but Moxley, Jericho, Danielson, Claudio, Mercedes, Edge and other big names have gone over there with no rating bump or attendance still low for tapings.

Then you got Cody where he was getting booed at the end of his run there, and now he's the biggest babyface in WWE. Would the same happen to Jericho where fans are saying they are tired of him, he needs to go away, etc but the second we hear "Break The Walls Down", fans will cheer him because he's back in WWE.

I think people just watch the shows now, it's not "I'm gonna watch ___ because ___ is on", it's "I'm gonna watch ___, I hope it's good."

It's like sports teams. You might have a fave player, but the second they go to another team, are you watching that other team? You might keep tabs or watch highlights, but you're probably not watching full on games.

And fans absolutely will cheer Jericho is he returned to WWE. Its a different company/bubble where good or bad you don't really carry the weight or momentum from elsewhere.

Perry chirping a fan in the crowd during collision.

Camera pans to the fan and its literally just Peter Griffin as the crowd starts chanting "PETER!PETER!PETER!"
