So when they said it was going to be a one match show, it was legit a one match show. AEW had taped the first hour of the show weeks ago, the fans in attendance watched the first hour of the show on a screen. Tony Khan came out and even said that fans could get refunds if they weren't happy about the first hour being pre-taped. Only five people took the offer for the refunds.

They set up the two rings in order to make it seem live on TV. The fans in attendance were told to cheer and boo like they usually would as their noise would be heard on TV during the first hour. The cage itself would take longer to set up so that's why they filmed the first hour.

Given the venue, you could tell why it took so long to set up.

If it was in a regular arena, they could've just raided the cages like WWE does for Wargames.

But small things like camera angles and lighting made the cages look so cool.

Same with Wargames, having lights and the siren go off when the structure lowers gets people excited.

I dont watch NJPW, but hearing the rules of their title matches, I like the 20 second count out rule.

Maybe that's a rule that could work here too?

Instead of the typical 10 second count out win and the champ retains, 20 seconds could make it more interesting. Theres still a champions advantage, but could lead to more out of the ring moments.

Not sure how I feel about Mox using Wild Thing by The Troggs as his theme music.

Tony Khan spending the money for licensed music lately.

Great opener between Mox and Nagata. At 53, Nagata can still go.

AEW needs to learn not to overhype things.

Sure, Cody being the American Dream for 1 night only will be cool, but the way they hyped up his announcement, just like Christian's debut, they make it seem so much bigger, where if they didnt hype it up as something major beforehand and still did it, it would've seemed way better.

AEW needs to learn not to overhype things.

Sure, Cody being the American Dream for 1 night only will be cool, but the way they hyped up his announcement, just like Christian's debut, they make it seem so much bigger, where if they didnt hype it up as something major beforehand and still did it, it would've seemed way better.

That segment fell flat as hell.

SCU and the Bucks would’ve been perfect if the cameras had stuck on Kazarian and Daniels and soak in the emotion post match. Then show Mox and Eddie destroying the Elite’s locker room.

Triple threat match for the title at Double or Nothing. Kenny Omega vs Pac vs Orange Cassidy.

They really just took the WWE way of getting to a Triple Threat Match for DON? I thought AEW was better than that. Also for all the hype of a career ending fall, just like WWE they bring someone back the very next week despite selling it like Jericho died or his career was over.

So in one night... we've had The Inner Circle recreate Austin spraying the Corporation with beer and Matt Jackson doing a "I'm sorry, I love you" to Christopher Daniels before hitting the Super Kick.

I don’t have too much issue with that. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe this is the first triple threat title match for AEW.

That Pinnacle segment....I get that 90-95% of wrestling is a ripoff of other stories...but that was cheap.

And Jericho is back one week later?

And who cares about Inner Circle potentially breaking up when SCU broke up and they were just pushed aside?

And a Stadium Stampede match? Eh...they should’ve just done Blood and Guts at Double or Nothing.

Lots of creative question marks tonight.

Watching some past clip from Dynamite, it's still so crazy seeing how only about a quarter of AEWs history has been during normal times!

Doesn't even feel the same seeing those past clips, you almost forgot they had thousands of fans in an arena on a weekly basis.

WWE, once they go back to that, I feel like I'll just transition back so seamlessly like nothing happened.

AEW, it'll feel weird, but in a good way.
