Sign me up for Omega vs Danielson. If it can't be in NJPW, this'll do.
It could be an epic match, but I think it'll have a ****/Dusty finish to protect both men.
Plus, what happened to the power ranking and wins/losses mattering? Seems like Kahn is hotshotting this thing instead of building to it at the next PPV (or the one after that).

I think it’s a non-title match. Bryan said “one day it’ll be about the title”.
Seemed like a weird choice to air a sit down interview with Pillman & JR literally seconds after Pillman attacks MJF in the ring.

Malakai Black's entrance is legit, man.
They should keep the lights they have for his entrance during his promos too. That would be cool having the arena dark like that when he's talking. Especially if he's doing it like a cult leader in the House of Black.

It's clearly a hot shot match for ratings, and what you run into is the same problem WWE books themselves in. They take two guys who shouldn't lose, put them together in order to make one of them lose for no reason. I get this has The Elite interfering all over it with the potential return of Hangman saving the day, etc. This reminds me of Seth vs Kofi after Mania where you knew it was going to end in a no finish.
I know they need a big match for the New York show but Bryan winning then going straight into a title match, that's so WWE like and go against their rankings, wins and losses actually matter, etc.
Of all the weeks of Lamberts promos, this is the one week I actually agree with.
It was pretty awesome, and a 100% valid opinion. The thing about AEW, to me, is that there are plenty of talent in top positions who get the opinion against their style, and aren't particularly defensive about it. So you can have a character on the show criticize it like that.
Does everything happening in AEW with Omega currently having no title contenders, and Dark Order imploding all connect by way of Adam Page returning? Or do they have another surprise up their sleeve in say a month+ from now?
AEW is easily the hottest thing in wrestling right now and their flagship show was just main-evented by two guys that were recently fired from NXT.
And holy hell the Grand Slam show next week in New York is stacked.
– Cody Rhodes vs. Malakai Black
– CM Punk live interview
– MJF vs. Brian Pillman, Jr.
– Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley vs. Lance Archer and Minoru Suzuki
– Dr. Britt Baker, DMD vs. Ruby Soho (AEW Women’s World Championship)
– FTR vs Darby Allin and Sting
– Kenny Omega vs. Bryan Danielson
