    Re: AEW Dynamite Thread

The one thing that disappointed me was the stage set up, and how they left so much space open on the floor. It's a very small stage for a big stadium show, seeing pictures on Twitter and it's like... damn that stage is small and hopefully they go for a bigger stage set up next year.

I know London has the 5 hour time difference so starting at 12 means it's 5 over there, but definitely needed a later start time closer to the night in London. Reminded me of Wrestlemania 31 where the show was mostly in the daylight and got dark only at the end.

      Now watching All In.

Did they really need JR on commentary? I don't mind if they want to keep JR as a "special reporter" like we see on the news where retired vets occasionally do big interviews or specials, but that's about it.

He just feels like "old man yells at clouds" at times.

Would've been fine with Tony,Nigel,Excalibur all show.

This definitely has a WM/Rumble/Summerslam feel to it. Major stadium show, the sights and sounds are just so cool. If AEW can continue doing this while WWE continues what they did for the first several months of 2023 in terms of locations/venues for PLEs, this will be an even more exciting time to be a fan.

Saraya winning the title in London is fitting. Her first world title win since the divas title?! I know she dealt with injuries, but just crazy thinking she never won anything since the divas title in 2014 even though she was there for the start of the main roster women's revolution in 2015/2016.

I didn't like that the isle was shortened. I remember Summer Slam 92 and while it was a few minutes for wrestlers to get to the ring, it was so damn cool because of Wembley and the atmosphere. I also didn't like the entire ring/ringside setup as it was way too small. I was expecting Summer Slam 92 or when New Japan is in the Tokyo Dome and there's all that extra space outside the ring to do spots and whatnot. It was way too cramped in my opinion.

I'd rather they set it up to fit in as many people as possible. I don't want the huge WWE style stage. The way they had it this time was perfect, but I wouldn't be surprised if they made it bigger overall in the future. I just think it has **** all to do with the actual in-ring show, which is the reason why people came and why they pop or boo. Having a huge Disney World ride of a stage is fun up to a point, but who really cares.

I liked the stage they had, especially the full LED screen tunnel they built too. I like that style of tunnel more than just the basic one with lights around it like we usually see from them. That looks cooler than the plain tunnel or just guys coming out from behind the stage/through curtains on to the stage.

The show as a whole was great. The "spectacle" of it all definitely delivered. The lighting, presentation, all of it had a major feel to this show. Probably their best PPV so far in the 4 years of AEW.

Sammy bringing up the steakhouse story.

Which is funny when you look back on it and remember when that was the biggest story/"controversy" in AEW, which is nothing compared to what we've seen/heard about since.

What a promo by the Acclaimed. Not a fan of their titles (minus the "scissor strap"), but "Welcome to the house of as$".

And Taz with the line of the night.

"We just experienced history! I don't know what that history is, but we experienced it!"

Dennis Rodman will be on Collision on Saturday. I mean, I get it it's Chicago. The question is who besides TK wanted this to happen?

People here like him as they do anyone from those Bulls teams, but it’s not like he’s a national hero here or anything. This is just Tony being weird.

Dennis Rodman in the United Center again, plus the WCW connection when he came out with the NWO in that building after winning the Finals. Rodman has a pretty good connection to wrestling, so why not.

All Out definitely doesn't have much hype from me going in, and its mainly because All In just happened, and most matches on this card didn't have much if any build.

We'll see in the end what the numbers are like, but I'm guessing it won't be as strong as they'd hope.

Sure, 12 PPVs a year could be a bit of an overkill, but 2 in a week span is also an overkill even if you don't have another for a few months

Every time I see Dalton Castle, it amazes me he isn't pushed more. He is easily one of the most charismatic/entertaining guys in AEW/ROH.

"Nigel, what is your win loss record in battle Royals?"

                          Nigel: Never been in one.

Didn't think Miro vs Hobbs would be one of the best crowd moments all night.

                            Those MEAT chants were funny.

Danielson coming out to the final countdown and fans going crazy and singing with it!
