Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
I'm excited for the show tonight, first time ever seeing this match in person. Obviously, still need to go to War Games in WWE at some point but still excited. The entire card is just three matches, Hangman Adam Page vs Hobbs in a Falls Count Anywhere Match and then the two Blood & Guts matches. This needs to be a PPV next year, why it's still a TV special is beyond me.Comment

Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
Just got home from AEW Dynamite a bit ago. I really wasn't sure what to expect with the Blood & Guts matches, I didn't even know what section to get but settled for on the side so I have a view of both rings and all the action. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, and while having only three matches I definitely got my money's worth. They definitely need to look into this being a PPV or create a new PPV to replace something like Full Gear that is themed around Blood & Guts. Was reading that there were commercials during the Blood & Guts matches, whether some were full screen, split screen but this match type is more so for PPV where you have no interruption due to commercials. Just a few notes from the live crowd...........
- Tony Khan brought out Ric Flair before the show and Flair gave a speech to the crowd. I guess he's still employed by AEW which explains why we never got Flair at all during Cena's retirement tour and what not. Flair was supposed to be involved in the segment with FTR & Ricky The Dragon Steamboat but he was recovering from surgery so TK opted for the preshow speech instead.
- The Women of AEW did fine for their first ever Blood & Guts match, early on when there's not many people in the ring it's easier to keep track of things. The more people enter, the more chaotic it gets, and it does get harder to follow the action as there are things happening in both rings. I was really impressed with the fact the cage itself didn't obstruct the view as much as I thought, that was my main concern with this match. I had a great view of the action and really enjoyed the match.
- Hangman vs Hobbs as the "cool down" so to speak between the two cage matches was great. I had a really great view of the spot at the end with Hangman knocking him off the rail through the table. It was a nice touch with the lights blinking on and off as I think they were near the electric cables or something, so sold that spot really well.
- Speaking of that segment with FTR...... Stokley Hathaway has Dirty Dom heat lol. We booed him out of the building and would not let him speak lol. It reminded me of going to RAW a couple years ago and Dom would get booed tremendously anytime he attempted to talk.
- As for the Men's Blood & Guts match, I mean what do you expect here? Moxley's going to bleed, Darby is going to die, your typical Men's match in AEW. Some insane spots during that match, kind of wish they let the Women do some crazy spots as well. I thought they were setting up a major return or Danielson would have got up from the announce table last second when they showed Briscoe was attacked backstage. Overall a great match, a great ending with Moxley tapping which makes me wonder if they might kick him out of the Death Riders next week on Dynamite.Last edited by UFCMPunk; 11-13-2025, 01:13 AM.Comment

Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
I know AEW loves treating every random match as some dream match, but Young Bucks vs "Oke****a" will be a good match if/when it happens (though if it happens, it'll probably be the "can they coexist" story with Okada/Take****a).

Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
One of the reasons I find these star ratings funny....Fletcher vs Speedball got 5.25 stars.
Sure, they're good wrestlers and all, but I'd hardly say a Fletcher vs Speedball match on Dynamite is better or bigger than many of the big AEW and WWE PPV/PLE matches even this year alone.
Fans were on their feet for the match and all, so maybe it's just a case of it not appealing to me?Comment

Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
AEW is really doing a live show on new years eve?
I looked it up, this might be the first live show a major US company has ever done on new years eve!?
Can't find any record of WCW, ECW, WWE, TNA ever doing that.
Also, MJF with his annual WWE name drop. Had to get it in before the year was over. As much as people rip on Swerves time in WWE, let's not act like he wasn't popular/good in NXT. And let's also not act like he was always good in AEW. Remember the Mogul Embassy? Or when he was just a guy who hung out with those random tattooed jobbers. It wasn't until it was mainly just Swerve and Nana and then eventually his feud with Hangman 2 years ago that propelled him.
Prior to that, he still wasn't anything special in AEW.
His entrance/Nana dancing was the only thing he had going for a while.

Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
Renee: Jetspeed happened to be attacked after you placed a bounty on them.
Ricochet: I didn't put a bounty on them. All I said is that if someone were to take them out that I would pay them some money.
Renee: THAT'S LITERALLY A BOUNTY!
Andrade was in WWE, then went to AEW, then went back to WWE, then went back to AEW, but then WWEs legal team said he wasn't allowed to go to AEW so soon after leaving WWE, now he's back in AEW.Last edited by Majingir; 01-07-2026, 10:03 PM.😂 1Comment

Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
No mentioning of Hobbs at all. Not even acknowledging he's not part of the group anymore. Figured they could've just done the "he was weak and lost the trios titles so he's gone" excuse from Joe. I guess he really has signed a WWE contract already if AEW doesn't even want to mention him.Comment

Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
So.....Allen "Styles" Jones to Dynamite? Taz would love that name. This all just seems so suddenly random for this to actually be the end of AJs entire career. It's like wwe rushed every match they could think of for him just to get it over with as if his contract expired on February 1st or something. He didn't take off his gloves and leave them in the ring, maybe hinting he's not fully done?
Maybe he goes to TNA instead? But AEW would be an obvious guess too. If Tony has a chance to make an offer, he's going all out (no pun intended) to get AJ, even if it's just for a few months/matches. AJ vs Omega, AJ vs Okada, AJ vs Ospreay, this is the very reason they're not letting Nakamura go.Comment

I’m pretty sure AJ retained the rights to his name and trademarks when he signed with WWE. I just need the payoff match from when Kenny kicked AJ out of Bullet Club at New Years Dash 2016.

Re: AEW Dynamite/Collision Thread
AEW Collision feels almost like old NXT Kayden Carter (still so funny how her name is Lacey Lane and WWE literally named someone else Jacy Jayne), Wes Les & the Rascalz, Tomasso Ciampa, GYV. Ciampa found a new goldie!Comment
