I dont doubt that a bunch of Rocks and Austins would outdraw Benoits and Jerichos. No doubt about that. Most Americans are friggin stupid like that. They fall for the catch phrases and good looks. Hell, Vin Deisel is an A-List actor and don't forget that a show called Desperate Housewives is the #1 show in America. Pathetic.

And I'm not Canadian, I'm from NY.
What does the title of a show have to do with it being rated #1 in America? And when did Vin Diesel become an A-List actor?

I watch wrestling intermittently, and I despise Stone Cold, but the Rock is entertaining, in small doses. I do agree that both acts have become extremely repetitive. There's a difference between character consistency and rote repetition, and both characters lean toward the latter. I actually think Rock is most effective when he speaks off the cuff, not when he's spouting some pre-prepared catch phrase. I think his mic skills are renowned for his ability to respond quickly and sound natural and at ease, as opposed to the forced, unintentionally comical stammering of most wrestlers(see:Chris Benoit). Again, I am excepting catch phrases, which I hate almost universally.
I drive a 2005 Toyota Prius Gas/Electric Hybrid. My last tank was 53.6 miles/gallon. Gas prices fear me!

Oversimplification is the escape of men who want to avoid the duty demanded by true understanding.

I think Canadian fans are great.

I've always hated Stone Cold. I never found him entertaining in or out of the ring. The Rock is funny, and he's great out of the ring, but he's a bad wrestler, and it's really pointless to have him come back a couple times a year and talk for a half hour.

Wrestling is more important than charisma too me. Charisma helps, but if you don't have a lot of it there's ways to get around it, like managers. Can't get around not being able to wrestle.
