I have a theory. It's probably way off, and WWE probably couldn't write it anyway.

So last night Alexa appears in the ring out of nowhere. Bray is looking at her like she means something to him. She stops him from doing the mandible claw and he just lets her stop him and looks at her with a slight head tilt. A classic move done in horror movies where they antagonist shares a moment of understanding or, confusion, with the protagonist.

Braun says he doesn't give a damn about her, which I don't believe is true. The Braun promo wasn't real. All of this, the whole segment was in Bray Wyatt's mind. My evidence is Alexa magically appearing and disappearing. We know that Braun imagined her as Sister Abigail because apparently The Fiend can do that. So he has a connection to her in his mind, and is able to manifest her.

I'm probably way off. But it would be fun to do that. At least I think so.

Doubt this is part of long term planning.

Probably just playing off the **** happening in the Pacific Northwest every night.

That kendo stick attack by Rollins & Murphy on Dominik Mysterio was brutal. Those welts on his chest & back, ****!

Well, they are trying to be "edgier" with the PG rating, but having a guy take countless shots like that felt almost unnecessary.

          That was brutal for sure.

Although I liked it, not the welts, that was gross, but the beatdown. And Rollins shouting out Rey in the middle of it all was funny.

I want WWE to follow Kurt's 3 I's when it comes to their products. They got intensity down for sure in this segment, something which I've felt has generally been lacking from matches and segments, not just in a move, but just the whole delivery like the way guys speak.

I think we need a new law that says if anyone calls wrestling fake, they must take 30 shots to the stomach and back area with a Kendo Stick.

This whole Retribution thing feels like a reason for WWE from a storyline standpoint to say they needed to move their shows away from the PC.Basically a way for them to film elsewhere but I just don't know where and who would allow them to do so.

Not trying to be political but they are starting to remind me of the WWE version of a certain anarchist group. They wear all black, destroy public property & guys like Vince McMahon tend to really, really dislike them.

And they gotta bring back some of the released talent to make the "Retribution" name really make sense & have some poignancy. Right now, it feels a little goofy & forced yet if they play it right it could pay off.

Damn, I am not a fan of Ric Flair but this is a brutal promo by Randy Orton. That was vicious....

Could retribution be tied to the hacker?

I noticed that the light flickering and mic issues seemed to happen with teams. Hacker videos were seemingly targeting teams in their promo videos.

That's what I said last week because of the fact that they destroyed SD, cut the ropes, ruined the glass and all that.

And with SS rumors of a different location, perhaps that's what it leads to.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown August Thread

This is why I'm so torn on whether Randy or Seth should take the title off Drew. Both men are doing such great heel work, but I don't think it's time to take the title off Drew yet either nor does Randy need the title. Randy's heel work right now is in the same vein of Piper or a Jake Roberts where they don't need the title because they are so good. His whole thing has been going after guys who return for one more shot at glory so it makes sense to attack Flair, Christian, Big Show, Edge, etc. You could have Orton and Seth flip feuds and have Seth be the next one to challenge Drew after Summerslam and have Orton go after Mysterio for the same thing plus getting Domink involved. There's stuff Randy can do outside of the title picture.

I just think the whole direction should end with Randy facing a young established talent at Mania who calls out Orton for being the Legend looking for one last shot at glory and needs to be put down.

I thought the same thing about the hacker thing. It would have been perfect. But I doubt they are doing that.

Also doubt that any of the guys/girls under the hoods are actually the people who will be reveled. I also thought it might be released wrestlers but who's left? Curt Hawkins? Everyone else has pretty much landed somewhere.

I think it's gonna be Dijakovic and or Ciampa as the leader.

That was a really good show again. Still not quite sure why I'm supposed to care about Rey Mysterio's kid but he's doing a decent job I guess. Would love to see Samoa Joe feuding with a Rollins at this level. Is he still injured?

It's so sad that this isn't happening in front of live crowds.

Main highlights of this week's RAW were the ones that have big storyline implications. Like the opening segment with Seth Rollins and his beatdown on Dominik Misterio. It made me forget about the Rollins/Carrillo match. Dominik has taken so much punishment on RAW from Lesnar beating him down earlier this year now to this. He's a soldier. The Asuka/Bayley match was good too as Bayley continues to make her opponents look good. Asuka wins predictably here as she gets her rematch against Sasha Banks at Summerslam. Randy Orton/Kevin Owens main event match was good too. Orton is on fire so he needed the win more. The promo between him and Flair was really good here. This is stuff that makes you wonder if it was scripted because that felt like it came from the heart. Especially Flair's promo. He wants Orton to become a 17 time World Champion. Not Cena. Strong points here and loved how the show ended.

All the other stuff was hit or miss. Bianca Belair is furious at Zelina Vega. Some 24/7 Title shenigans, Apollo Crews continues his feud with the Hurt Business. I didnt feel too strong about RAW Underground this week although seeing Shayna Bazler out there looked pretty cool and realistic. Liv Morgan, although in defeat, still looked cheeky. Average show this week.

That moment when Charlotte returns next week and inserts herself into the WWE Championship match to get revenge for her father.

More I see it, more I think Raw Underground isn't supposed to be a long term thing, but could do lots to build stars.

Dabbo and Ruas and even Shayna are doing more in these segments than any jobbers match could accomplish. I'm actually wanting to see them more because of Underground than what we usually see.

                                Unintentionally funny.

That was a great promo between those 2. And nice way to get Orton to punt Flair without actually punting him.
