    AEW Rampage Thread

New AEW show starting next Friday August 13th on TNT 10PM ET (moves to TBS in 2022).

But all the hype is for the August 20th show...because it's a one hour show...in Chicago...and it sold out in 4 minutes...and they're hyping it for some reason....hmmmmm.

Good news is that it looks like Rampage will be airing here as well. Bad news is that it sounds like it will only be available online.

I always watch shows on my DVR, main reason being that I love skipping commercials, replays, and matches I don't care to see. It's easy to do with a remote.

Doing so through an app, even if its streaming on TV, is more of a chore.

Can't believe they're missing out on TV viewers for shows as big as the ones in August sound like they'll be.

Really hate the timeslot for watching this live, will most likely be watching it Saturday or Sunday Morning instead.

Otherwise, excited for more AEW Television.

I want to watch it another time too, but given what might happen, it's too tempting to just watch live because I know I'll definitely get it spoiled before actually watching.

This and one other place are the only places I have wrestling content. I visit r/SC infrequently, so it'll be easy to simply... not while waiting to watch.

That said, the 20th is definitely just appointment viewing so that I'll watch live.

Omega and Christian to open Rampage for the Impact title.

And Jericho immediately tells a story from his WWE days lol

Great opening match and I'm really happy for Captain Charisma.

I'm hoping he isn't just a transitional champion and can defend the belt a few times.

Kind of hilarious how Christian just won the Impact(!), yet was only raising up the AEW title. [emoji38][emoji38][emoji38]

Makes a lot of sense to give him the belt considering his history with that promotion. And, just like with Sting getting the pin at Double or Nothing, these old school guys are gonna get big pops when they win like that. Fans want these guys to get their respect.

So Moose and Sami Callihan cant beat Omega for the IMPACT belt but Christian can? Lol k.

Well...Sami Callihan sucks, so that logic checks out.

This show was really nice. One hour just flies by.

Was my first time watching Christian wrestle since...the attitude era? I'm surprised how well he can still move.

Next week is gonna be insane. Appointment TV for sure, can't remember the last time I HAD to watch wrestling live other than a big PPV or the RAW after WM.

Meh, ain't my fault both belts have a similar design. [emoji28]

                              Re: AEW Rampage Thread

                              A nice debut for Rampage.

Christian as Impact champ might be better for them since he will probably appear more often. I could see that being part of the deal with him in AEW, specifically getting his theme back too.

I thought Miro lost the title because I had Fuego being signed to AEW spoiled earlier today, and when I heard the extra stipulation, I thought that for sure meant he won.

And the main event, a good match for the womens title. The ending was confusing. Nobody knew who that was. Fans get their hometown hero moment this week, could we see one next week too....

I liked Taz and Mark Henry on commentary.

Good and bad news for Rampage in Canada, we get the full commentary version of the match breaks (so no PIP, but no ads during matches, so we get bonus commentary).

Bad news though, its only available through streaming, and the streaming service sucks. If you tune in late to the live broadcast, you cant go back. And if you're watching on demand, your stick with 2 mins of ads during every non match break in the show.
