Or if he HAS other vacate it because they know for sure he'll miss WM, do they just make the Rumble for the vacated title? The character was fine, it's the fact that they made it just Butch is what sucked.

Pete "Butch" Dunne or "Butch Dunne" would've been better than just Butch.
Should've done something similar to what they did with Jordan Devlin.

How they used the 'JD' initials and added McDonagh to it.

Pete 'Butch' ______ (some other British last name, maybe his mom's maiden name).

Or Pete or Dunne, whatever. I just hope they give him and Tyler Bate some good character work (to chew on), cause being two bland, British guys won't work long-term, IMO.

I did notice that they stayed away from referring to him as the 'Bruiserweight.' I wonder if Pete owns that trademark and not WWE, themselves. I'm pretty sure he's been using it prior to signing to WWE oh so long ago.

Pete B. Dunne feels like some 90s WCW name.

              Episode 1600 tonight!

I still remember Raw 1000 like it was a few years ago!

Raw 2000 coming up in just over 7 years, September 2031.

So, Seth isn't dropping the WHC. They are basically doing what they did when he got injured prior to his match against Triple H at WrestleMania 33.

I get rewarding Seth for all his hard work and dedication, but it's gonna be weird not having the main (male) champion not defending their belt regularly on both shows.

The fact WWE were quiet about Rollins' injury told me he was going to be alright. He doesn't have to wrestle until Mania, so he has time to recover. The way they always built Rollins as a fighting champion, and question how much more can his body take, etc.

It was always did seem Gunther was the perfect guy to be the one to finally break Rollins. Such a good promo there, I know it seems the only winner of the Men's Rumble is Cody or Punk, but damn now I kind of think Gunther might win.

Re: WWE RAW & Smackdown Thread

Rollins announces he needs surgery and would be out 3-4 months....but not yet.

I'm fine with him making it to WM and coming back for the summer. If he loses the title to Punk, maybe Rollins-Punk 2 at Summerslam regardless if Punks still the champ.

I wonder if there would be a point of Rollins announcing WM is his last match before he gets surgery. If he wins, he'll vacate the title on the Raw after WM. If he loses he'll go heal up. Would feel like a retirement match without a retirement.

Especially if he faces Punk, he could say
"I'd rather beat you to retain and then vacate the title due to injury so that someone deserving can win it than live in a world where CM Punk is the champ. But if you do win the title...just try to not get suspended again and stripped of the title before I return."

Did they really need to mention that "only 2.6% of rumble participants have won it all".

You have a 1 in 30 chance of winning. Meaning at best you have a 3.3% chance to win, not including the 40 man rumble.

                          Gotta love Truth.

Truth: I got some advice for you. Don't tag in *wink*.

Miz: What? Truth, it's a SINGLES match, you're not even in it.

Truth: Just look out for the Mysterio boys.

                          Miz: Mysterio Boys?

                          Truth: Tom and Nick.

                          Miz: DOMINIK. It's one guy!

Ivar is an insane athlete, man. And this dude broke his neck a few years ago, too.

I do appreciate that WWE kept Ivar on TV and allowed him to show what he can do as a singles star. Under Vince, Ivar would have just been removed from TV until Erik came back from injury. Between Bronson and Ivar, they found this generation's Bam Bam and Vader. 2 Big guys athletic enough to do things guys their size shouldn't do.

                                All very true.

I just hope they can finally give the Viking Raiders a good push once Erik is healed up.

They are never gonna be great 'character' guys, but both are great assets if they continue to build'em up. (And let Valhalla show more personality or bring in a good mouth piece.)
