    Weird part, is that the strike speed at 50 felt more "realistic". With it at 70+, wrestlers seem to strike extremely fast. This strike speed could be why it feels like "Jobbers" still get punches in with the "main eventers".

    I might lower everyone's strike speed, or maybe just jobbers and mid carders. But not too much to lose realism.

    Thoughts?
    I am messing with the speed of strikes as well as movements. I have tested by dropping them by half and it looks pretty realistic. Liking the results so far. I am a CPU v CPU player.

      It definitely does. And I think this will solve a lot of the issues with jobbers taking advantage of the upper card guys. Their speed allows them to strike faster. What are you using for sliders? CPU vs CPU here as well.

        Right now I am moving sliders around to see how they affect things. When I get settled I will post them. I am also taking the submission defense sliders down by half, I just don't see any tapping out. When I see Bret Hart out in the sharp shooter I would like to see a tap out once in a while.

          My only problem is, for someone like Kalisto, who strikes pretty fast (but has much lower strength,) would it look odd if he's throwing slow-mo shots, or is it more based on reaction?

            And that's the trick. Trying to get close to realism without sacrificing too much. Honestly, strike speed over 70 looks very arcade to me. Slowing it down should also extend match time.

              With a guy like kalisto it would be okay if his strike speed is a little faster because his strength will be low so any time he grapples with a bigger guy hes going to get throw away. His only chance against those guys is his speed

                True, but at the same time you don't want that "Street Fighter" arcade game style either.

                  just wanted to give some results here
                  cpu vs cpu neville vs bnb

                  match 1 bnb wins by catch finisher bull hammer in 8 minutes
                  match 2 bnb wins by catch finisher again in a lil under 8 minutes
                  match 3 they decided to put on a show for 14 minutes, a lot of the match bnb dominated so he built finishers quicker giving neville a total of 3 signatures one reversed bull hammer which looked nice and a landed bull hammer that only got him a very close 3 count, followed by a quick ddt by neville and a red arrow for the win, i was hoping for an outcome like that and was pleased

                      I think we need to distinguish between "strike" speed and "movement speed". Yes, the Nevilles can punch fast...but faster then the Ortons or Ambroses? Realistically, not really. Maybe more than the Big Shows and Mark Henrys.

                      Now, movement speed is different. Can the nevilles run faster than the ortons, etc....yes. So they would still have the advantage in movement. Remember, this is a game. So to get realistic type effects, you might need to over or under exaggerate attributes. What you might think is wrong, could actually be just the thing to get realistic match outcomes.

                      From my tests, there isn't too much noticeable difference between 1 and 50 with strike speed. So maybe again, under 50 means nothing in this game. We had this issue in previous versions as well.

                      I've lowered strike speed on everyone, but kept the speedsters a tad higher. Test more tonight.

                        If anybody is interested in sliders, I posted in an old sliders thread. I'll post them here since they also tie into attributes. These sliders work pretty well for CPU vs CPU matches. Try them out if you like them

                            AAArrgh!! The reversals in the game by the CPU are frustrating! No matter how low you put the guys reversals, he reverses everything.

                            I had a Brock vs Stardust match....Stardust reverses so much he almost put Brock's damage meter in red! Ugh.

                              the slider is the only way I found to truly reduce reversals
