          Injury News
Rusty Staub has to call it a season. The Montreal Expos right fielder was injured while throwing the ball. He is diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff muscle and stated that he would not be able to play for 7-8 months.
Doctors in Chicago said Gary Peters may not play anymore this year. Peters received a torn ankle ligaments during the game against the Kansas City Royals and will be out for at least 7 months.
Ron Hunt of the Giants just might have to call it quits for the season. The 28-year old San Francisco second baseman suffered a fractured skull while being hit by a pitch and could be out quite some time, as much as 11-12 months.
