The following schools will no longer be followed. If anyone would like to see them continued please say so:

        Iowa State
        Notre Dame
        Winston-Salem State

The following schools have been added since they have been started and/or updated within the last month:

        California
        Eastern Illinois
        Southern
        Western Illinois

Please keep playing and updating. Although I don't post as much, I still like to read the legacies. The differences in posting & writing styles are great.

I never thought that I would have gotten the three players that I had offered scholarships to, especially Newsom, who was deciding between us and Colorado. But, the three guys also wanted to come to Boise State. Although I let my "assistants" contact the players, I would be the one responsible to offering out the scholarships. Those are also sent out on need, as in the players replacing the outgoing seniors, and then they are put on my target list and I also make the weekly phone calls to as many candidates as my free time allows.

These incoming players will certainly be getting playing time.

Thanks for the continued readership. It is greatly appreciated.

Boise, ID - An unexpected 37% capacity crowd at Taco Bell Arena is on hand for the unveiling of the 2010-2011 Boise State Broncos basketball squad. Led by head coach Bob Knight, the Broncos' fans have high expectations after a 14-14 season in coach Knight's first season at Boise State. Fans could even be expecting the team to compete for, and possibly win, it's first WAC basketball title in the school's history.

With the season opening game coming up in a week or two, here is how the roster looks.

Re: Coaching Career of Bob Knight (No, not THAT Bob Knight) - take #2 - ps2

Just got caught up on the legacy. Very nice read.
Love the fact you went to the Broncos. I have a BSU Legacy going on 2k Sports Forum and started to transfer it over here, but with you posting, I stopped. I might post a legacy I started with W. Carolina though.

You landed some nice recruits. You will find it is pretty easy to recruit to Boise. I personally stick to the Pacific Northwest and WestCoast however occasionally I will venture over to Texas. I land most of my guys from Cali,Washington,Oregon and Utah. I have also been blessed with some pretty good recruits from Idaho. I am in the middle of year 4 at Boise and last year I had the #7 recruiting class in the nation and with the 2 5* guys I already landed this year and the 1 that is 98% I simmed ahead and actually got the #1 class. 1st time ever for me on any team I have every coached at.

Anyways good luck. I will be following. I am not sure what rosters you have being how you are on PS2, but on mine for 360 Noonon can flat out shoot the 3 ball and Rouse is very athletic, both players have done very well for me. Being in year 4 they are my only true Broncos left.

I am somewhat curious to why you don't cut players. I generally run a 10 man active roster and have 2-3 guys redshirting. Keeps available scholarships out there every year. Why burden your roster with guys rated below 60 who will never see court time???

First off, thanks for reading and the feedback. Always great to hear from the readers on their views.

There is no need for you to stop posting your legacy with Boise State. Everyone has their own thoughts and styles and we can see the differences in coaching styles and thinkings. I may not be staying at Boise State too long anyway. I may be taking the next step up the ladder if a school from the ACC, Big East, SEC, Big 12, Big Ten, Pac-10, C-USA, A-10 or Mountain West come calling.

I use the rosters that came with the game. I never use another person's roster creations, no offense to those who create them, I just think that the staff does a great job with the players and the attributes.

Noonan is really good at shooting the 3-ball and that's one of the reasons for him being the 6th man. He can provide some instant offense. Rouse has shown to be a pretty good shot blocker and is a part of the reason that the second string is pretty good on defense this season. Zach Moritz provided great defense and good offense in the center position my first year with Boise State and now that I have moved him to power forward, he is showing that he can be an even better scorer for me as well. You should also still have Zach Moritz with you because he was a freshman in 2007-2008, which would make him a senior in year 4.

I guess that my not cutting players comes from when I was playing as Bob Knight with ch2007 and started him at Army, the first college head coaching job for THE Bob Knight. I have a 7-man active bench and although at times it can be tough to give playing time to the 11th and 12th man, I have yet to hear anyone outside of the "reserves" crying about playing time. I also figure that it is nice to have a few people in reserve in case of injuries. I have played short handed a few games in the past and didn't like the feel of it. That can also lead to overworking the healthy players. Also, the players can transfer if they don't like their playing time. I'll always have someone waiting in the wings.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a soldier.
