      First Half

      Bragg makes two free throws and after Parker sinks a short jumper, Bragg hits a jumper. Edwards banks in a layup on a fast break then See drops in a 3pter to pull Southern Utah to within one, 6-5, with just over 15:00 remaining. Lathum sinks a short turnaround jumper then after Noonan puts in a layup and converts a 3-point play, Parsons cans a hook. See and Parsons drop in layups to give the Thunderbirds the lead then Noonan buries a 3pter and Newsom banks in a layup on a fast break to give Boise State a three point lead, 16-13, halfway through the first half. Riddle makes 1 of 2 free throws and after Frederick swishes a hook, Corner and Crum both can two free throws to tie the game. Davis banks in a layup and after Newsom converts a 3-point play, Sneed banks in a short turnaround jumper. Daye and Moritz trade short jumpers as the Broncos have the lead by a bucket, 12-10, halfway through the opening half. Daye banks in a layup then after Moritz cans a hook, Hamilton and Frederick put in layups. Eldridge and Daye hit jumpers and after Zuzak nails a 3pter and banks in a layup, Sacre makes two free throws. Lucas drops in a layup then Sacre knocks down a short turnaround jumper to pull Gonzaga to within one, 23-22, with just under 5:00 to go.                     Boise State Wins Battle Of Broncos, 58-51

                    First Half

                    Thompson banks in a hook then after Bryan Matera sinks a jumper and a 3pter, Frederick and Korey Matera trade jumpers as Santa Clara holds a seven point lead, 9-2, with 15:00 remaining. Edwards flips in a finger roll on a fast break and makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Sherrill cans 1 of 2 free throws, Edwards converts a 3-point play. Thompson nails a hook and after Noonan sinks a short turnaround jumper, Powell puts in a layup to give Santa Clara a four point lead, 14-10, halfway through the opening period. Powell makes 1 of 2 free throws and after Dalgarn puts in a layup, Hamilton drains two free throws. Thompson drops in a layup then after Bryan Matera hits a 3pter and a layup, Moritz cans 1 of 2 free throws and Edwards buries a 3pter to pull Boise State to within four, 22-18, with under 5:00 to go. Thompson hits a short jumper and Sherrill tips in a rebound then after Rouse and Bragg bank in layups, Thompson and Sherrill put in layups to give Santa Clara an eight point lead at the half. Bryan Matera and Thompson each have 10 points to lead Santa Clara and Edwards leads Boise State with 9.

                    Second Half
                    Thompson and Edwards trade layups and after Korey Matera buries a hook, Bragg makes two free throws and Hamilton banks in a layup. Frederick sinks a hook then after Noonan tosses in a layup and cans two free throws to tie the game, Coulter nails a hook to give Santa Clara the lead, 36-34, with under 15:00 remaining. Noonan nails a 3pter and after Coulter sinks a hook, Edwards makes two free throws. Hooks cans 1 of 2 free throws then after Noonan buries a 3pter and a layup, Edwards hits 1 of 2 free throws and a layup on a fast break to give Boise State an eight point lead, 47-39, midway through the second half. Hamilton converts a 3-point play and after Thompson puts in a couple of layups, Newsom and Hamilton both make two free throws to give Boise State an eleven point lead, 54-43, with just under 5:00 to go. Sherrill sinks a short turnaround jumper and Lamkin makes 1 of 2 free throws then after Bryan Matera hits a 3pter, Hamilton drains a short jumper. After Thompson nails a hook, Santa Clara starts intentionally fouling with 30 seconds left. Edwards drills two free throws and ices the game.

                                1. This is a great day for me and the school to get not one but two really good players.
                                2. My assistants have done a great job in selecting and contacting the kids based on my preferences (1. skills, 2. intelligence).
                                3. I am guessing that both Byerson's and North's interest in going to Boise State have dropped due to the signings of Hinds and House, respectively.
