        Same old story

Lehmon Colbert attempts to grab this rebound, but loses the
battle just as all Dolphin players seem to do against Belmont.

(Nashville, Tennessee)-- The Belmont Bruins have defeated the Jacksonville Dolphins now 11 straight times. Coach Roberts has endured 5 of those losses with the latest coming last night in an embarrassing 87-58 defeat. Jacksonville came into this game on the heels of a 4 game winning streak and had seemed to hit their stride for the stretch run of their season. But the Belmont-Bug-a-Boo continued to trip up the Dolphins and break their momentum.

The Dolphins were bad from start to finish allowing Belmont to score the first 8 points of the game. JU would come back to tie the game at 8, but that would be the last time that this team would be competitive as Belmont would go on a 16-0 run from that point. The Bruins would lead by as many as 36 points and that was just too much of a deficit for the Dolphins to overcome.

"We just don't have any answers for this team. I really don't know what it is, but it's frustrating", said Coach Roberts after the game.

though loss. Just jump right back into the winning column and you will be fine. Good luck in the next couple of games.

The fact that I can't beat them isn't what bothers me, it's the way we lose to them that gets to me. All five games that I have played against them haven't even been close. I don't think I have had a game where I loss to them by less than 19. This last game, a game which I thought I had my best shot, I played probably my worst game. It was my worst loss to them yet.

I will actually be worried if we meet up again in the A-Sun tourney. They are the only team in the A-Sun I have yet to beat.

At this point, I will actually be happy for a real life win against Belmont now. The real JU Dolphins haven't beaten Belmont since 2005 and have droped 6 straight to them (3-10 all-time vs Belmont).

                I hate Belmont.

Thats both aggrevating and in a sense, satisfying at the same time. Its aggrevating due to the losses, but its satisfying in the fact that its cool that you have a nemesis that you guys just can't get over. I love it when games pull into the dynasty to the point that you're hating virtual teams. And I can see the hate for Belmont in your posts K-Rob.

Hopefully you'll get a crack at them in the Conference Tourney and be able to knock them out of the tourney and the big dance. If not, I know which game you'll be looking forward to next year.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Yes, I hate them. I hate the virtual Belmont and the real life Belmont team. I don't care who gets the win first, me or the real JU Dolphins...it will be celebrated!

I agree with you about it being a good thing in my dynasty to have that nemesis. It's kind of like that boss level that you just can't beat in a video game. I almost hate Belmont as much as I hated Macho Man in Mike Tyson's Punch out! It gets even more intense if/when we meet in the A-Sun tourney because normally, only ONE team from the A-Sun gets to go to the Big Dance.

lol..I looked at my dynasty and JU didn't beat Belmont during the regular season. I don't remember the first year, but its almost like its programmed into the game.

                        Campbell.

(Jacksonville, FL)-- The Dolphins were able to survive a gritty Campbell team who erased an 18 point deficit in the 2nd half to send the game into overtime. The Dolphins would hold on to the victory in the overtime period beating Campbell 87-81 avenging their loss to them earlier in the season. Freshman center Ben Hinton recorded a career high 27 points and 8 boards. Senior guard Ben Smith, who played his final game in front of the home crowd here in Jacksonville, chiped in with 20 points for the Dolphins. Campbell had 5 players in double figures led by PG Junard Hartley with 21.

                              Dolphins lose regular season finale

(AP) The Mercer Bears used a late 2nd half comeback to defeat the Jacksonville Dolphins 70-67 last night. For the 2nd time in as many games, the Dolphins blew a sizable lead in the 2nd half. In their previous game against Campbell, JU would give up an 18 point lead in the 2nd half, but would be able to hold on to the victory in overtime. Last night against Mercer, it would be a 15 point lead in the 2nd half that the Dolphins would blow, only this time there would be no overtime and it would be a loss for JU. Tevin Galvin, who was 4 of 6 from 3 point range, had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but his 3 point shot fell just short.
