Re: Coach K...(Rob11) JU Dolphins (NCAA Basketball 09)
) .......I had someone coming in for him at the scorer's table...I was just waiting for the next dead ball. While waiting for the next dead ball, I got an open look for a 3 and hit it with Smith......got a defensive stop and SMith hit a 3 on the fast break. I then cancel my sub (sending that freshman guard back to the bench) and then the run began. I was pretty pumped!

Thanks, it probably ranks right up there near the top of my list of greatest comebacks in my sports video game history. Not a number 1, but definitely a top 5 candidate.
I am at work right now, so I don't have the standings availiable at this moment.....BUT, the standings, remaining schedule, among other things will be included in issue no. 3 of JU BASKETBALL WEEKLY. So make sure to get your copy!"Basketball is my favorite sport

Dolphins hold off
Hatters
Travis Cohn hits this lay-up that would put the Dolphins
up for good in a see-saw battle against in-state rival
Stetson.
(Jacksonville, FL) -- In a game which saw 27 lead changes and 14 ties, the Jacksonville Dolphins were able to out last a gritty Stetson team last night 81-76. Travis Cohn was the unsung hero for Jacksonville scoring 16 points off the bench including a lay up that would put the Dolphins up for good with 22 seconds left to play. Ben Smith continued his stellar play as of late with 27 points while freshman of the year canditate, Ben Hinton, added 18 points and 10 rebounds.
The loss for Stetson comes two nights after their heartbreaking 81-80 loss to Jacksonville where the Dolphins erased a 22 point deficit with just over 7 minutes left to play. The Hatters are now in last place in the Atlantic Sun with a conference record of 1-7.
Meanwhile, Jacksonville improves to 4-3 in the A-Sun and is currently sitting in 3rd place.

Coach Roberts happy with his bench

Travis Cohn came off the
bench to score 16 points in
a win against Stetson.
Not long after the Dolphin's recent 81-76 victory against Stetson, Kevin Roberts was answering some questions to a group of reporters. I couldn't help but notice his smile when he started talking about his bench players. Can you blame him? In the last 3 games the Dolphins reserves have out scored their opponents' reserves by atleast 20 points. Travis Cohn has been leading the way for the bench averaging just over 12 points a game. Not only an offensive spark off the bench, Cohn also leads the Dolphins in steals. Back up center Szymon Lukasiak has awakened from the dead and has allowed Coach Roberts to rest Ben Hinton more. Lukasiak has had two games in a row now where he has scored in double digits. Even freshman guard Scott Weston has seen an increase in playing time. He is turning out to be quite the defensive player and not a bad 3 point shooter as well. Coach Roberts will need his bench to continue their stellar play to have any success in the Atlantic Sun Tournament, which is just around the corner.
Upcoming games
The Dolphins have 5 games left on their schedule before they get set to play in the Atlantic Sun tournament. All of these games are important to each of the teams involved as each team in the conference not named Stetson, still has a shot at the # 1 seed in the Atlantic Sun and the first round bye in the conference tournament.
