    January 19, 2008: Liberty 58 Charleston Southern 71

    Poor Play Costs the Flames.

In a game that was very poorly played by Liberty, to many costly mistakes and poor defense led to an easy victory by Charleston Southern. Seth Curry managed to put up 22 points but all in all it was just a bad team game. Shelton Carter led Charleston Southern to victory by some big 3s, and kept the Flames coach frustrated the entire game. "They just played harder than we did, no excuses, they will go through hell before the next game at practice." said Coach Rogers after the game.

    Points: 22, Seth Curry, Liberty
    Rebounds: 10, Armon Jones, Liberty
Assists: 8, Jamarco Warren, Charleston Southern

    January 21, 2008 Liberty 77 Coastal Carolina 59

Liberty Rebounds and Runs Coastal Carolina.

This game was much better, from the beginning you could easily tell that the Flames were going to win. It was a great team effort, which seems to be the theme when Liberty wins nowadays. Curry led all scorers with 19, but my true player of the game was Ozren Bjeldgrilic, who had a double double at halftime. Liberty takes on High Point now, and one thing I sure know about High Point is their immature fans, so this should be fun.

    Points: 19, Seth Curry, Liberty
    Rebounds: Ozren Bjeldgrilic, Liberty
Assists: 4, Mario Sisinni, Coastal Carolina

      January 26, 2008: Liberty 73 High Point 53

Curry and Anderson to much for the Panthers.

To be honest, High Point was over matched from the beginning. After a 3 game 3-pt shooting drought, Jeremy Anderson and Seth Curry went off on the High Point Panthers, with 6 3's between them. Anderson scored 23 and Curry put up 30 as the Liberty Flames just ran the High Point Panthers out of the gym.

      Points: 30, Seth Curry, Liberty
Rebounds: 8, Cruz Daniels, High Point
      Assists: 4, Nathan Campbell, Liberty

      January 28, 2008: Liberty 71 VMI 56

Liberty Wins Three in a Row.

While VMI gave a good effort, they were pretty overmatched against a touch Liberty team. Curry scored 21 points and led the Flames to another easy victory. Victories either are easy or the Flames lose by 20, unless it is a good team, and this game was no different. Liberty had a double digit lead at halftime and just cruised to the victory.

      Points: 23, Chavis Holmes, VMI
      Rebounds: 8, Ozren Bjeldgrlic, Liberty
      Assists: 6, Seth Curry, Liberty

        February 2, 2008: Liberty 70 Radford 65

Curry's 33 Shuts Door on Highlanders.

In what turned out to possibly the game of the year in the Big South conference this year, the Liberty Flames and Radford Highlanders squared off against one another this Saturday afternoon in front of a pumped out crowd. Seth Curry seemed to find his way to the limelight as the game neared its finish as he put 33 points, 20 coming in the second half to prevent a 3rd conference loss for the Flames. Radford had a chance to tie late but a 3 ball came up empty and Liberty managed to sneak out of the game with a big conference win, and give themselves a lead in the Big South Conference.

        Points: 33, Seth Curry, Liberty
        Rebounds: 13, Ozren Bjeldgrlic, Liberty
        Assists: 5, Amir Johnson, Radford

        February 8, 2008: Liberty 66 High Point 54

        Liberty Cruises To Another Win.

This was a great showing for the Flames as another team effort to prevent the High Point Panthers from getting anything going. Liberty was up 16 at halftime and just coasted to an easy 12 point win. Curry led the charge with 23 and Omar Minaya pitched in with 11 points. The further we get into this season the more of a possiblity it is for the 1st year coach to lead his team into the big dance, but only time will tell.

        Points: 23, Seth Curry, Liberty
        Rebounds: 2 Tied at 7
        Assists: 6, Seth Curry, Liberty

        Recruiting News

2 Small Forwards Could Come To a Decision soon.

Ronnie Benson is looking to possibly make that jump to Liberty as it really close. Right now he sits at 93% interested and the only other competition comes from UNC-Greensboro and Hampton but both schools are falling behind. Benson is a 2-star prospect from Shesapeake, Va, and averaged 8 points a game during the ABL.

Another possible recruit is a 3-star SF from High Point, NC. His name is OJ Youmans, and right now the competition is fierce between Elon and Liberty, and rumors have shown that he is leaning towards Elon. Hopefully the rumors are false, as Youmans could be a big factor next year for the Flames.

Other possible recruits who have good interest are 2-star SG from Durham, Jess Burrowes, and a 3-star Center from Alabama, Cedric Nubine.

          Breaking News!!!

Liberty cracks the Mid Major Top 25 Poll

Liberty comes in at #25 in the newest mid major poll released this past week. While their is still a good bit of the season left, this is a big first step for the Liberty Flames.

Thanks to all who follows on here, although no seems to post. Hopefully I can move on to other schools within a year or two, because to be honest Liberty is a pretty boring team to play with, and Big South is a pretty boring conference. Any suggestions to make my thread better?

              A couple of thoughts.

              1. Use notepad so that your stats will line up and be neater (see your Nov. stats post).

              2. Nothing against playing the games and I know that it might be boring to some, but how about just coaching the games. That way, the attributes & coaching will decide wins/losses and not "thumb jockeying".

              3. If you don't like "coach mode", how about changing the sliders to a tougher difficulty? It looks like your playing could be too good for all-conference.
If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in english, thank a soldier.

Recently I have been changing the sliders to make it more difficult as you will tell by the next game whenever I post it lol.

I may try coach mode. The only thing keeping me semi-interested is Seth Curry, dude is a baller lol.

And I used notepad with that but it still came up weird. I don't know why.

I've always tried to coach the games, but I just can't get into it. It's interesting and somewhat fun, but I guess I'm just a thumb-jockey at heart.

I enjoy the strategy aspect of coaching the games, though. I may fire up a legacy strictly coaching the games at some point down the road to run along side my playing legacy. I've toyed with the idea in the past, but we'll see.

In my last few seasons of my legacy, I have toughened up the sliders a bit, though, since I felt I probably made it too easy on myself in the beginning of my coaching legacy at Princeton, which made me get too good, too fast. Whatever the case, I can't go back now, unfortunately. And I've got the sliders to where I can play 20-minutes halves to get realistic statistics and minutes!

Anyways, I don't mean to hijack your thread, Marino.

It's the "html". You don't need it when copying from the notepad document. All you need is the "code" and "/code" (inside the [ ], of course) before and after, respectively, the document.
