"Benbow. Benbow. Benbow. It was all him tonight. Wow. He really wanted the ball. He kept getting open and he kept making plays. Normally I would want to get the ball spread around, but he was just lighting it up. I rode the hot player and he came through. Really looking like an All-Patriot League type player right there. I think he is even making a case for the Player of the Year right now. His play in league play right now is ridiculous.
Another efficient shooting night. Even though our offense was really good, our defense was even better. Nobody from their squad could get going and we really slammed the door shut with our defense. I didn't go as deep into the bench tonight as I normally do. However, I think it paid off. Our guys got into more of a rhythm. We will see if we will stick with that strategy or not.
Back to .500 in league play and now we have a chance to tie our season long winning streak as well. Will be interesting to see what happens. Hopefully everyone on our team doesn't start listening to the media. We have to keep a level head."

Sucks about the slow start, but that win over Bucknell should really boost the morale for Lafayette the rest of the way. I was surprised to see Venezia as the big scorer for Colgate - though the 8 turnovers didn't surprise me at all lol.

Nice win over Bucknell, hopefully you can get back to .500, I'm definitely psyched to see how you finish off the season.

Thanks. It's a tough battle back to .500 overall. My guys just seem to be so inconsistent. One game they are playing lights out and the next they play so poorly. I think they are coming around though. I have had so many games where I had a lead and blew it, that I could be well over .500.

3 more games played. Will give an update later tonight on all 3 games. Should be interesting coming down the stretch. Excited for the post-season to see where I can go with this team. Kind of nervous about recruiting as there hasn't been much success on the trail.

"Just a poor performance from the field really took the wind out of our sails. I think that really slowed us down, but we were in the game for most of it. I think that our defense is going to have to be this consistent to make a run in the Patriot League down the stretch.
Lehigh has some very good guards and they really got going. They pass so well and can make the shots necessary.
We were just dominated on the boards and McCollum kept hitting big shots. They slowed down Benbow enough to where it bogged down our offense. I think we need to make some adjustments to the types of shots we are taking when we are struggling. We seem to rely a little bit too much on the jump shots and need to make plays toward the rim."

Lafayette Drops the Ball Again, Loses to Army
Coach's Corner
"Another game where we fall off at the end of the game. Focus. We need to focus when it comes to the last 10 minutes of the game. I think we might need to run some more set plays rather than just our base offense. We fall into lulls.
I thought we outplayed Army all game, until the end. We went on a 12-0 run to grab a 9 point lead late in the 1st half. I thought we could take control of the game. We failed to do that and let them get right back into it. We out rebounded, out hustled, but lost control of the game. We can't lose focus. We need to make a better effort the final half of conference play.
I thought Kreuser had a heck of a game. He really was battling inside and made some plays on the glass to keep us in the game. Really like his effort. We just couldn't stop their guard, Simmons, when he was draining shots from all over. He was 7-of-9 from 3-point range. Really hard to stop a team when they are hitting shots from deep like that."

Wheeler Wins it at Buzzer for Lafayette Against American
Coach's Corner
"Wow. What a finish. Wheeler made the best of that play. It got started late and we were trying to get a pick and roll isolation at the top of the key. We didn't get enough spacing with the wings and the pick and roll in the middle. Therefore we didn't get anyone really open either on the roll or because of the screen. However, Wheeler got his defender favoring his right hand and he thought he was going to drive right and pulled quickly for the 3-pointer and he made it.
We had a great defensive plan for Moldoveanu. We were going to double him whenever he got the ball. That way he wouldn't beat us and we would force the others to beat us. Fisher struggles to shoot a jumpshot, so we left him open. Fortunately the plan worked and he missed some shots. Moldoveanu tied the game on the floater, but didn't get his league leading average. Thought Kreuser played him well on defense as well.
Great win for us to cap off the 1st round of games in the conference schedule. Beating the league leadrs really gives you confidence. It shows that we are doing some things right. Now let's see if we can make some adjustments in the games we lost the first time around. We need to win some games on the road."
