If you shoot a half-court shot or beyond with time left on the clock (which I've regrettably done a few times before with an accidentally tap of the X button) it will almost never hit the rim.

I suspect you are back for break now?
Yea I know what you mean. I think 2k was trolling is hardcore with the half-court shot haha.

And yup I got back today. I'm actually 4 games ahead of what is posted here so I might just do a quick wrap-up of all those games into one post. Not sure yet.

Well look who it is! Good to see you (in a way...) again! Any chance we will get to see your four team dynasties again?

NOT THE SAME AS MICHIGAN GAME

11/14/13 - Philadelphia, PA: Brown came into this game right after just coming short from getting an upset against Michigan. Drexel, however, was more prepared for the Bears than Michigan as it was a total blowout from start to finish.

"There was absolutely nothing that I liked about this game. Other than our free throw shooting (18-22), it was just a bad game."

FIRST HALF WOES KEEP BROWN FROM WIN

11/23/13 - Queens, NY: After getting a week off from actual games, Brown looked incredibly rusty in the first against St. John's. The Bears were unable to come back after getting down 15 at halftime and dropped their third straight game.

"The Red Storm got a great game scoring 28 from their 2 guard Randall Gatling
. He is very unique in that he is 6'7 258 lbs. and plays at the guard position. It was tough to guard him and we could not find the right matchup."

BROWN SNEAKS BY MAINE IN NAIL-BITER

11/26/13 - Providence, RI: The Brown Bears got a much needed win against Maine in the final minutes of the game. The Bears got a career day from Joey Wheless (23 points, 16 rebounds).

"Joey had an outstanding game tonight and it turned out to be the difference. I was a little disappointed in our second half performance, but we are going to enjoy this win then get ready for Georgetown."

            TALE OF TWO HALVES

12/5/13 - Washington, DC: At halftime, Brown was only down one point and just twenty minutes away from getting their biggest win under Colby Rogers. Then in the second half, Georgetown went to town on the Bears outscoring them by 20.

"I thought we played a very good first half. I thought if we could come back in the second half and play the same way and do a better job rebounding, we would win. Unfortunately, we did terrible at everything in the second half."

12/7/13 - Providence, RI: Only two 3* recruits were signed in the in-season recruiting period in the IVY League. One was a junior college recruit. The Yale Bulldogs signed Don Chirstopher, SG (#408 Ovr, #96 Pos). Christopher averaged 9.3 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 5.0 apg over the summer in AAU. Harvard also signed a SG who spent his freshman season in Junior College.

The Brown Bears were 1 of 2 teams in the IVY League to not sign a player in the in-season recruiting period. That does not mean, however, that they are not looking at recruits.

"Obviously we cannot talk to the coach about recruiting but we can confirm that they have 3 scholarships and are looking far and wide for guys to take those scholarships," said a recruiting insider.

Brown is looking at players all the way out to California. There are rumors that they are even looking at a couple players out of the country that they could possibly sign.

"It seems as if they are trying to find a shooting guard and a power forward. After that they seem to be just trying to find someone who fits the team best."

BROWN GETS FIRST BLOWOUT OF SEASON

12/7/13 - Providence, RI: Despite a lackluster performance by freshman Jermaine Maclies, Brown was able to take out CCSU in a dominating fashion.

"Overall, I felt like my team did very well tonight. We struggled from behind the 3 point line but that is my only gripe about the game," said Rogers, "Both Joey and Izik did a great job down in the post and that made all the difference in the world."

Another post player that does not get a lot of press coverage, Dockery Walker, had his first career double double.

"Dockery had one of his best games since I have been here. He is always very consistent and does his job. He is a very good role model for the younger guys because even though he does not get all the glory and fill up the statsheet, he is a key component to this team and what we try to accomplish."

                      NCAA Basketball 09?

I took some time off from work, and was intending to start a new legacy since I switched from PS3 to 360. But then I picked up a copy of NBA 2k11 and downloaded all the historic season rosters. I completely suck at NBA 2k11 -- there's just so many more moves than CH 2k8 & the D plays the passing lanes a lot more aggressively than CH2k8. I honestly have trouble competing at even the Pro level. Plus my brain occasionally freezes up because the "X" button on the 360 is not the same as on the PS3. But its so much fun playing with the old teams I would often endure a beating until the very end even in "Play now' mode just to see the postgame highlights (which are unbelievably awesome!).

It made me think. If 2k had just released another college game with no changes at all to legacy mode, but with the graphics, gameplay/control, & court spacing of NBA 2k11... well, I might never leave my house!

Glad to see you've kept your legacy going. The good news -- you weren't fired. The bad news -- after two 17-loss seasons and that recruiting class you brought in, it might be a good idea to win that conf championship now.

Yea I know what you mean. If you 2k came out with more college games, a lot of us wouldn't have a life anymore.

And yea there is a lot of pressure for me to win the conference this season that is for sure.

Now I have a buttload of updates to give for this...

AFTER BLOWOUT WIN, BROWN GETS BLOWN OUT

12/17/13 - Williamsburg, PA: After the best game of the year for Brown, they were brought back down to earth in a tough fashion losing to William & Mary by 34.

"We were bad from the word go. We were out-hustled and out-executed if that's even a word." said Rogers.

BROWN DROPS HOME GAME IN OT

1/3/14 - Providence, RI: Joey Wheless led the Bears with 20 points and 8 rebounds but it wasn't enough to hold off the Bison in overtime.

"It's always tough when you drop a game at home especially in overtime. Now we just have to use this game to learn and prepare for the conference opener against Harvard."

For the conference preview, I won't be able to post top 25 rankings or statistics because I don't have a record of what they were (I'm a few games ahead).

1/16/14 - Cambridge, MA: Despite losing 4 starters from last year's championship and having a new head coach, Harvard picked up where they left off with a 15 point win over Brown.

"This was a very disappointing loss." said Rogers, "We have very high expectations this season, and we started off conference play like this."

In the first half, the Harvard Crimson tripled Brown's score going up 39-13.

"It seemed like our guys went out there with the expectation that the other team would just hand us the win. That was certainly not the ca
se and it never will be."
